It has been centuries since Inshals birth and since then she had gained her first form, a crow but her angel wings and halo still showed, her demon horn and tail showed. After realising how powerful she had the potential to be she wanted to be something small and harmless, something that realise on its kin to represent her darker side.
Inshal woke up in her own home that she was given when she grew too old to live with her mother. She likes it, no-one waking her up when she is tired, no unnecessary training, it's perfect. Inshal heard a knock on the door and opened it. "A message for Inshal" a messenger held a letter out for her.
"Thank you" Inshal took it in her talents. Inshal opened it:
Dear Inshal
The second council would like to inform you that your window of choice to join will be ending soon. We do not mean to cause stress, we just can't keep an open seat with no word of choice for long. Please inform us of your choice as soon as possible. We understand that you need time to figure things out but we have our own problems to deal with and is difficult with an empty seat with no name to it.
From Anchor
'I need to make a choice then huh' Inshal sighed to herself and put the letter in a draw. Inshal sat for a minute, thinking. The only reason on why she has been so hesitant is because of her father. He has always tried to push into the underworld once she was old enough to make her own choices. She has to make a choice, knowing Ancho from the meetings of discussing what it will be like for her, she won't wait for long. But she has a meeting with her father so she has decided to choose then.
Inshal packed her things and left to the edge, "leaving soo soon?" a warrior asked, "you've been leaving a lot lately".
"I know" Inshal sighed, "I just need to get out of my head".
"We all believe that you are just out to see your father" the warrior commented.
"You're not wrong" Inshal confessed.
"Well just be safe" the warrior wished and Inshal jumped down.
She enjoyed the flight down, it is always peaceful and relaxing to her. It doesn't take her long at all now to reach the bottom but it does take a little while to reach the field her father has basically taken. She arrived on time like she always dies but of course her father has not gotten there on time. It took an hour of waiting for him to shoe up, "just when I thought you can't be any later, where were you?" Inshal scolded.
"I had a few thing doing" he brushed of her nagging, "now today let's take it easy, I'm not all the in the mood" he explained.
"What happened, you acted too soft?" Inshal joked.
"You should wasted my time, the king of my land is getting every impatient by the fact that you can't use any of your powers" he sounded just as annoyed.
"Well I'm doing the best I can" Inshal reinsured.
"But it's not enough, they are nagging me all day, every day, for me to bring you back home so you can train there. But you know I don't want that" Darkin sighed.
"Is that why you've been bothering me with the underworld for a while now?" Inshal narrowed her eyes.
"Yes but they stick to tradition, if you have a very powerful position in your home they can't touch you. Do you?" Darkin asked.
"Not yet" Inshal thought before speaking any further.
"What do you mean not yet?" Darkin asked.
"I've been invited to the second council" she exclaimed, feeling as if she shouldn't be telling him this.
"That sounds powerful" he nodded.
"It is, evey angel respects their judgment... not just anyone could get in" she explained further.
"When? how?" Darkin sounded as confused as she predicted.
"A few days before meeting you, I was told the power I have as an angel and Newlaw told me and invited me to join, now I have to make a decision" Inshal felt the stress of it all once again.
"Join them, you'll be safe and have power what more do you want?" Darkin pusher her into it.
"It's not that simple, I won't just be joining them, most of my life will be dedicated to it, it will be like a new rase" Inshal tried to explain. "It will be like blood".
"What will you be sacrificing?" Darkin couldn't understand and it showed.
"I have to make a choice tonight, all I'm sacrificing is plenty of free time" Inshal thought for a moment, "time to spend with you".
"That's fine, as long as you're happy" Darking picked her up, she hated when he did. Just because she was a smaller form doesn't mean her boundaries were lowered.
"How can I be happy when I'm losing the only other kin who is willing to spend time with me" Inshal fled from her fathers embrace.
"Yep looks very kin deprived to me" he laughed.
"I like spending time with you but please stop messing up my feathers" Inshal used her beak to put her feathers back in place.
"I still don't get why you chose a crow" he muttered.
"Because they are Beautiful creatures and I love them" Inshal answered a little afended.
"We can find a new time to meet, I'll say you join them" Darkin spoke his thoughts on it.
"You really think I should?" Inshal asked still not sure if she should.
"Of course it's the safest option for you" Darking sat down, "but we still have some training to do".
"Yay what fun" Inshal said sycasticly. They did the usual routine, do something that should call it out, it fails try something else it fails again. Rinse and repeat. "Maby if we go to a volcano?, the laver could call it out?" Darkin tried.
"It's getting late maby tomorrow?" Inshal was gasping for a breath.
"If you're free in the morning" Darkin had is hands in his head at this point.
"I mean what do we expect? we've been trying for years" Inshal almost hufft.
"Get mad again!' Darkin ordered.
"What!" Inshal shoot her head up.
"Your horns glowed when you got mad" Darkin explained, "get mad again".
"Tomorrow" Inshal promised.
"Alright, good night" Darkin pat her on the head and flow south. Inshal took of to the clouds she kept flying until the platform revealed itself. Inshal flew to her home and grabbed the note, "away all day?" Eleas voice spoked her.
"Mother! you didn't knock" Inshal turned to her.
"You wasn't here" Elea repeated herself, "where have you been?" Elea sounded distressed.
"Roming Earth, what's the matter?" Inshal asked.
"Many of the angels are thinking of reporting you the councils, they think you're turning" Elea informed.
"For what? admiring nature?" Inshal couldn't believe that the angels who she grew to know would think of her like that.
"Most angels leave to admire nature once a blue moon, not 4-5 days a week" Elea reminded her.
"So what I'm stuck here until the next blue moon?" Inshal asked.
"Yes, you should spend more time in the hall" Elea suggested, "dinner is ready there now".
"I'm heading out though" Inshal mentioned.
"Where?! you just got back" Elea sounded impatient with her. Inshal then passed the letter to her.
"What's this?" Elea asked then read the letter, "when did they invite you?" the shock in her voice was priceless.
"Can I go now?" Inshal pleaded.
"Yes just be back for something to eat" Elea left and headed to the hall. Inshal took of to the second council, the large Hall made Inshal feel very small. "Can I help?" a warrior at the entrance door asked.
"I'm here to speak to Anchor" Inshal informed.
"Why?" she asked.
"That's my business" Inshal knew like with every angel that if you're going to any council, you can keep to yourself.
"Alright" she spoke and opened the door for her.
The large Hall is like a labyrinth, with multiple corridors and rooms. Inshal walked to one of the back rooms, she opened the door and saw a rather golden cloud with a rose gold halo and taned wings. "Anchor" Inshal greated her.
"Inshal nice to see you, you got my note?" she asked putting a pen down.
"Yes, I have made my decision" Inshal sat in the empty chair.
"Good, what would it be then?" She waited patiently.
"I wish to join you in the council" Inshal informed with a wave of relief fludding over her.
