Chapter 8 - Just anuther day

FunPup is laying on her bed in her apartment, she had been living there ever since she turned 18, she is now 23. With a job at a game company that had their main building in a small town just within the forest and a collage on the opposite side it was perfect to live in. Her neighbour and only friend, Willow, just stared college and has moved in next to her. The little cub didn't act her age, she acted as if she was the same age as her. FunPup heard a knock on the door and she got up and walked towards her door. When she opened it she saw the light brown and white cub, Willow, "Willow, come in" she welcomed her in.

"Hey I wanted to talk to you about last night" Willow held her elbow in an embarrassed expression.

"Right sit down" FunPup remember that night, she was behind her once she came back from a walk in the forest. Once they were in her apartment FunPup noticed that she was drunk, which was normal considering how much she goes out to parties. Willow was acting stranger then normal, when FunPup asked what was wrong she blurded out that she had had a crush on FunPup. "I understand that you were drunk so is this a misunderstanding?" FunPup asked Willow who looked very uncomfortable.

"No" Willow shook her head with her ears droopy, "it isn't a misunderstanding, I... I do like you".

"Oh" FunPup was shocked, most furrys around here fear her due to her being a half vampire, "that's... interesting".

"But I know it wouldn't work, we're not the right age" Willow grabbed her knees to her chest.

"Not exactly, once you're 18 we are in the right age" FunPup mentioned, she thought that it might help.

"What are you saying?" Willow shot her head up.

"Nothing it's..." FunPup only now realised it will bring false hope.

"You don't like me that way, don't you?" Willow sounded desperate.

"No" FunPup shook her head, "I don't see anyone that way, I don't want a relationship like that you know".

"I know but I still can't keep you out of my head, I just... can't" Willow was on the earge of crying at this point.

"Come here" FunPup spoke softly, she is young but old enough to have concent. FunPup grabbed her gently by the waist and pulled her in close.

"What-?" Willow spoke but went quite when FunPup gently glided her claws down her side and back up again.

"Doesn't mean I don't want a bit of fun now" FunPup smiled and nuzzled her nose on the back of Willows neck.

"You sure? I mean isn't this illegal because of age?" Willow tugged a little and FunPups grip loosened immediately.

"If you're not comfortable we don't have to" FunPup said exsaming her eyes.

"I mean I do but yet, no?" she sounded as confused as a cat with a fish tank.

"Don't be pressured I'm doing for you, don't ask if I want it, ask of you want it" FunPup advised...

"No" Willow said after a really long pause, "not yet" she spoke softly.

"That's ok" FunPup pet the top of her head and Willow moved away.

"Thanks" Willow said putting her fur back into place.

"So what class do you have next?" FunPup asked, Willow has classes scattered across the week.

"English tomorrow" Willow answered clearly feeling embarrassed.

"Don't be so moody about it, you can't control it" FunPup joked.

"Thanks that help alot" Willow said sycasticly.

"Look the more you worry about it the more it'll kill you, I know now and we can sort it out over time" FunPup said, she hated it when she would worry over anything.

"I know, but it hurts to know that you feel the same way" she curled herself into a ball in the corner of the couch.

"Do you want to watch something?" FunPup grabbed the remote for the TV.

"Like what?" Willow asked, "I don't know what we both like".

"Well what do you want to do? you know that I have work tonight and you can't say here all day" FunPup didn't know what to now, Willow has always been easy to distract but now she looks miserable.

"I don't know, but I don't want to be alone" Willow spoke with her nose half squinted as if she would snarle.

"Where is your roommate?" FunPup asked.

"Class".

"You should get some sleep, you didn't sleep for half the night and you just had class" FunPup advised.

"I don't want to go to an empty room" Willow clawed her head but luckily no blood was spilled.

"You can stay here" FunPup suggested, "it'll be like a sleepover".

"I guess, so on your couch?" Willow asked with her tail over her feet.

"Yeah let me get a blanket" FunPup went over to her chest of drawers, inside were a few blankets that she likes to use in the winter. She picked the thicker one and handed it over, "thanks" Willow said while putting herself in a sleeping position.

FunPup went over to her own bed and pit herself to sleep. She woke up to her alarm ringing in her ear, she swoted it until it shut up. FunPup grabbed her head and curled into a comfortable position, something then landed ontop of her. "Wake up sleepy head, you have work rember" Willows voice was right in her face.

"I know" she yawned and pushed the light brown fox of her.

"I should be leaving then, your alarm woke me up" Willow said stretching, "see you tomorrow".

"Bye see you" FunPup scratch the backnof her ear and grabbed her brush to remove the shredded fur stuck in her new coat. It's almost winter and her thicker coat was coming through, not like it did anything her coat no matter the season is thin compared to every other furry she came across.

She couldn't exactly ask her mother or father if it was normal as they basket haven't talked to her since she turned when she was 8. FunPup can remember before she was cursed that she was very close to her parents but they haven't been close in any way shape or form. The only conversations she had with them are very resistant, they were arguing on why she was moving out of their comfortable manten to live in an apartment. They couldn't see how their 'perfect' home was like torture to her. How being confined in a room that looker rich but was actually empty made her feel so alone, so lost, so sad and so, so insanity draining.

FunPup shook her head as to not think about it much, she couldn't let the past bring them down. She finished grooming herself and headed of, she locked her door and walked down the road to the large building at the side of the town. She got in by the card that sites on the necklace that she was given when she was hired. FunPup works in the animation of the games, she is the one who helps make the game to be a game, coding and all sorts. She walked to her cubical, desk where she has her computer that is connected to all the dater of the new game that she and her workmates has been working on for months now. It's an open world game, with many quests and paths you can go on (think of games like skyrim or fable).

FunPup did her usual coding and animating for the next 8 hours, with her brakes and lunch included. It was 3 in the morning when she finished her shift, so she decided to spend the rest of the night out in the forest again. She found it peaceful out there, to breath the cool air, to feel the nature Earth under her feet and to embrace the shadows. She knows that she can't join her vampire blood kin as it will make her no longer a flechling, were she can be apart of society and not have to worry about losing herself. She had only had blood from cows, pigs and deers as it will keep her alive and her bloodlust at bay. She walked for a while, happy, calm, peaceful but then something lurked in the trees. FunPup shoot to see who or what it was, a dark figure layed on a tree branch.

"Who are you!" FunPup demanded as her eyes focused on it, she could see it was a furry bit with wings, horns, halo and demon tail.

"Inshal, you?" she spoke softly as if FunPup was being pet with a a dove feather.

"FunPup, what do you want?" FunPup growled a little as to show she is not easily pushed around.

"Just to meet you, you're pretty for a furry" Inshal had such a sweet and gentle voice.

"Aren't you part furry?" FunPup tilted her head but studied her closely.

"No, I just have the form of one" Inshal shook her head gracefully. FunPup had to admit that for a hybrid of some sort, she was adorable. "Angels don't work like that" her soft voice could calm a wild and untamed horse.
