It took like half an hour for him to wake up, "how long have you been awake?" he sat up and stretched, not caring that Inshal was on his chest.
"About 30-40 minutes now" Inshal shrugged, getting of him.
"No" Marlo grabbed hold her waist and pulled her in close to him, "since you clearly don't want to leave spend a little more time with me". 'Great this again'.
"No, I should be going to get your blueberries" Inshal tried.
"I have others getting those, I need a little love" Marlo laughed and began to pet her back, right down the middle of her spine.
"Do we need to do this dance again?" Inshal sighed, trying to pull away.
"Yes, I will get what I want" Marlo then licked behind her ear and Inshal twitched them as it felt wired.
"Do I need to bite you?" Inshal growled slightly, baring her teeth.
"Haha please do" he chuckled with a grin, "just remember I'm that kind of demon, I will find a way to enjoy what every you try to do".
"So if I bit your balls of would you enjoy that?" Inshal then lowered her head to threaten him.
"No!" Marlo kicked her head and pulled away, "no-one would like that, you psychopath".
"Oh, well I'm not gonna lie I'm a little disappointed" Inshal shrugged and sat back.
"Disappointed? what in the world are expecting form me?" Marlo had a mixed look of amusement and pure horrified for his life.
"Something more" Inshal said in bland tone.
"My goodness, I mean it's only 9am on Tuesday" Marlo said but Inshal cut him of before he could speak any more.
"Tuesday!?" she yelled out, "it's that day already?".
"Yeah yesterday was Monday" Marlo explained as if he was making a point.
"I gotta go!" Inshal cried out and dashed through the tent.
"INSHAL!" Marlo shouted out and Inshal can tell that he was following her. She dashed up north and once she reached the main field to where she can begin the clim up, she realised that she managed to lose Marlo.
She climbed up and her wings felt free, alive and full of spirit. As Inshal looked at them, the beauty of them, they were spread out and you could see each of the longer features and the difference between the layers in them. She finally reached the top and was greeted by shocked looks, "you came, back?" the warrior with the slashed wing said.
"Well yes" Inshal twitched her ears.
"Like the new form" anuther one commented.
"Thanks" Inshal then flexed her wings and took to the air again.
"Hey where do you think you're going?" a warrior snapped.
"To the second council" Inshal couldn't understand the hospitality.
"And what business would you have there?, death threats, assassination, black mailing?" the warrior with the slashed wing accused her.
"No, I have reports to give to Newlaw" Inshal shook her head in discuss.
"Oh really, when our reports show that you have been caught training with Marlo, one of the worst demon kings out there" he snapped and refused to let her move any further.
"Look I can explain later but right now, I have to be somewhere" Inshal felt the frustration fill inside her. They began to negotiate but Inshal was failing badly, after a while of getting nowhere Inshal felt a sharp pain on the back of neck. She recognised it as the tranquilizer dart the warriors use, Inshal put herself on the platform and stumbled before passing out.
"So what should we do?" Bran (number 7) asked, he has always been more on the paranoid side.
"We need Inshals reports before we try anything" Newlaw spoke and Inshal heard a ring in her ear. Inshal lifted her head to look up but the hole room was blurry and she couldn't hear right. "Inshal, take it easy" Newlaw spoke and his soft voice made her feel at home, as all the voices she heard were sharp or cold back at the camp.
"She didn't take that too well" Silva observed.
"We should of told everyone that she was in the second council, this could of been prevented, Newlaw" Anchor sounded a little annoyed at him.
"I know it's just... would they accept her?" Newlaw sounded even more stresst then before, "especially after that report of her being seen with Marlo".
Inshal grabbed her head and sniffled, she has a headache and it is pounding. "We have to wait for her to wake up properly before we can doing anything about the war" Drin said and he to sounded stresst. Inshal felt a stab of panic, 'f-ck I didn't do anything about that'. She has to say that the thing thing about the with the demons is more important. They kept explaining a bunch of different problems with everything, all while she was struggling to keep awake and revive from the tranquilizer. "If she doesn't wake up in the next 20 minutes she has been under for too long" Silva said in a concerned tone.
"Yes, it looks like she she's dying in my opinion" Drin joked.
"How can you say that!? she is literally the only reason we have a bit of hope left!" Newlaw snapped when he said that.
Inshal growled but it came out as a wine, "still alive though" Drin sounded a little bored.
"She better be, she knows what we need" Silva sounded as if she could year of her own halo due to her boredom.
"You two need to watch your tongues! Inshal is more then just a source of information, if can't recall correctly Anchor predicted that she can be the most powerful angel and demon" Newlaw scolded them both. 'When was that?' Inshal asked herself.
"You're right, we should just bend down and serve her now instead of waiting for her to realise her power and take control" Drin challenged Newlaw.
"You do know that I'm awake right" Inshal blurded out sleepily.
"She understood what we said" Silva said with a hint of fear in her voice.
"Yes I'm awake just exhausted" Inshal squashed her snout up and hold back any anger.
"Well do you wish to share what you found out?" Newlaw said calmly.
"Yes, I didn't get anything about the war" Inshal was then cut of from saying anything else.
"So what use are you now? just a spy on the demons, we have ways of getting information from them" Drin spoke angrily and almost hissed.
"Because the demons have control of a deep purple orb with golden spirals!" Inshal had to shout over him, "I was told that it will bring something big for the demons".
"They did not!" Newlaw cried out on a horrified tone.
"What is it?" Anchor asked, she is the second angel in the council so if she doesn't know, non of the others knows.
"It's a dragon egg" Newlaw said scuffing through papers, "the purple ones are said to brake the will of any creature and use then as puppets, it can destroy the world if it grows big enough" he explained.
"So this is bad?" Drin stopped being sycastic and turned serious.
"Yes, worse then the war, now we have to stop them" Newlaw kept checking paper after paper.
"Newlaw" talking managed to help her wake up, "my father wants to stop it as well, he invited me so we can stop it" she explained.
"So we have someone else working from the inside?" Newlaw looked a little more hopeful but he still obviously has doubts, "that could work or he is faking it so they can succour who is trustful and who is not".
"First thing is that we need to calm down, then we need to make our move" Anchor suggested.
"In my opinion" Strongmind called, "we should find out what is incubating it, so we can destroy it then kill it of".
"Yes, Inshal do you know?" Newlaw asked pitting down the papers.
"Marlo said something about blueberries, he said that he needs a lot of them, then last night I saw exhausted to the point he almost passed out and he blamed it on the egg" Inshal informed.
"Blueberries, Marlo being exhausted and we still don't have much" Newlaw rested on the table, he sat thinking for a while, everyone else didn't dare make a noise. "Inshal go back to camp, focus all your energy to the dragon egg situation, for the rest of us we need to sort out the war and chose our side" he said after a very long pause.
"Drin you can use the glob orb, Anchor you can study the history of this, Strongmind I'm putting you in charge of taking the reports of Inshal on Earth. We can't risk Marlo thinking treachery, the rest of us will have to focus on both" Newlaw ordered, "dissmisst!". They all got up and left, Inshal followed Newlaw until they were alone, "something wrong?" he asked.
"Yes, do you remember the story of the angel who feel for a mortal?" Inshal asked, FunPup has been on her mind non-stop and it's getting to her.
"Yes it's very hard to forget" Newlaw narrowed his eyes, "why?".
"Well why did she deserve to die?" Inshal asked trying to figure out her best move.
"She became a fallen angel, she abandoned the heverns and her wings grew a bluey black, she was long gone" Newlaw said as if he had a spite to the situation.
"Well I met thi-" Inshal stopped when she saw his look.
"Don't" he said harshly, "who ever you met forget them, you have a responsibility here and you can't abandon them for someone you thought you like" he warned.
"Of course, I was just asking for your opinion" Inshal chose her words carefully.
"My opinion? I think you should stay well enough away or have someone to kill them if you can't" Newlaw then waved his cloudy arm dismissively.
"You would kill someone because you can't keep them of your mind?" Inshal would expect that from Marlo but not Newlaw.
"Well for me personally, I'm head of the second council and I can't afford my mind not being in my control" Newlaw answered her question as if her scripted it, "no go back to your duties before you are missed, we can't afford any bumps in the road".
"Yes, see... soon?" Inshal guessed and just left, the walk to the edge was harsh on her. She kept her head low and kept thinking about how Newlaw, all angels, would kill an innocent just because he had feelings. Inshal could sense the shock that went through everyone when they saw her unattended. Inshal got to the edge and looked down, "hesitant?" a warrior asked.
