Inshal stared down at FunPup who looked as if she wanted to tear the heart out of her but slowly switched to clam and relaxed. "So how did you get that 'form'?" FunPup asked twitching one of her ears.
"I made it last night" Inshal explained, "I saw you last night and I guess you just thought I was a crow".
"That was you?" FunPup said a little while later.
"Yes, sorry for stalking you, I just never saw anyone like you" Inshal apologised feeling the guilt once again.
"You mean a hybrid?" FunPup narrowed her eyes at her.
"You're a hybrid" Inshal instinctly tilted her head, staring at her she could only see wiredly shaped thangs but nothing else.
"Yes can't you see?" FunPup pointed at her thangs, "I'm a half vampire".
It shocked her a little, she looked so soft and harmless, but to be a creature of mutilation and back stabbing. It was just like her. Her heart warmed up when she made that link, Inshal smiled once FunPup said that. "What?" FunPup squashed up her snout and exsamend her even more.
"Nothing it's just... nothing" Inshal felt her cheeks warm up.
"Right" FunPup relaxed a little but didn't let her gard down. "What do you really want?" FunPup raised her snout up at her.
"Just want to meet you" Inshal repeated herself.
"Well come down and tell me your real motives" FunPup crossed her arms and pinned her ears back.
"You don't believe me?" Inshal amused, "why?".
"You're a demon I know what your kind is like" FunPup rolled her eyes.
"I was raised an angel though" Inshal felt hurt that she would assume the worst of her.
"Oh, so why waist your time on a cursed furry" FunPup hufft.
"Cursed?" Inshal echoed, "how are you cursed?".
"I spend every day worrying if I would turn on the innocent, if I would attack the people I care about just because I was hungry" FunPup explained simply.
"Well that..." Inshal stuttered.
"Sounds horrible, I'm probably waisting my life so I should just join the shadows" FunPup looked on the verge of tears. Inshal jumped down and started walking to her. "Stay back!" FunPup snarled a warning.
"Relax, you look like you could use a hug" Inshal raised her arms in a surrender position.
"Well I don't need it from you and I'm fine" FunPup took a few steps back. Inshal allowed her halo to glow and she took a few steps forward. "I'm warning you! leave!" FunPup snarled again.
Inshal ignored her warning and took her in her arms, FunPup was about to snapp but was calmed immediately. FunPup hugged her back and snuggled her snout Inshals chest. Inshal smile and stroked the top of FunPups head, "better?".
"Yes" FunPup said softly.
"See I'm an angel" Inshal joked and hugged her tighter.
"Don't test it" FunPup pushed back and made a serious expression. Still in Inshals arms FunPup snarled softly, calming as Inshal directed her energy into her halo.
"You done?" Inshal asked, massaging her back gently. FunPup didn't speak, she only turned her head away.
"Leave me" FunPup bursted, Inshal hugged her tighter and tears sooked her fur.
"Relaxed, breath deep" Inshal advised, "I'm here".
After a while FunPup was able to calm herself, she wiped the tears from her eyes. "You alright?" Inshal asked with a deep tone of concern.
"No!" FunPup snapped, "I'm never alright, my parents hate me, no-body trusts me, everybody assums the worst of me and now a demon hybrid has consulted me".
"Angel hybrid, please" Inshal corrected, "you are more then that".
"Yeah right, I can feel it every time I get the slightest bit hungry" FunPup began to cry again. Inshal hugged her once more and aloud her to let it all out, to let the pain out.
"You're a fletchling" Inshal observed, "you know if a fletchling feeds on demon blood they will have their hunger will be quenched for months?" Inshal asked.
"Really? you can help?" FunPup had a look of hope.
"Yes, but you can't take my blood, it's too holy" Inshal explained, "I could convince one of the other demons to lend their blood".
"You can do that?" FunPup asked, "would they accept?".
"I don't know, I know one who might be willing to help me out at least" Inshal suggested.
"Tomorrow night, same place same time" FunPup scheduled and went to leave.
"Yeah, if I couldn't convince any of them I'll tell you the bad news" Inshal nodded and took of to the camp. It didn't take long and Inshal tried to single out her father, it took a little effort due to the dark but she found him eventually. "Father" Inshal landed next to him.
"Inshal, nice to see you" Darkin greeted her.
"Can I talk to you?" Inshal asked gesturing away from the others.
"Alright" Darkin began to move from them and to their own spot, "what's wrong?".
"So I met a fletchling that is struggling to keep her hunger at bay" Inshal began.
"Don't ask for what I think you're asking" Darkin frowned, "I don't want to be bit and have my blood stolen".
"Right" Inshal felt a little stupid, "so who would help?.. Marlo?" Inshal guessed.
"Ha! not a chance" Darkin laughed out loud.
"Yeah I thought so" Isnhal shrugged.
"No-one, here at least, would be happy for a vampire fletchling, of all things, to drain their blood" Darkin patted her head. "It's sweet of you to think that way but it's impossible" Darkin shook his head.
"So should I try my chances with Marlo or not?" Inshal asked in a serious tone.
"You could, it would be amusing to him he has been a bit down lately" Darkin nodded, "you can but don't expect a miracle".
"Ok, see you then" Darkin hugged her good bye and went back to his conversation with the others. 'I should meet more demons then just my father and Marlo' Inshal thought.
Inshal began to looks around for Marlo, she knew that he would be busy so she looked all over. Inshal eventually found him, he was finishing his duties and was heading back to his tent. "Marlo" Inshal called out to him.
"Inshal?" Marlo sounded a little confused, "back for more" he joked.
"No" Inshal frowned, "I need your help" she admitted.
"Oh what is it?" Marlo asked, "want to come in?" Isnhal could see that he was exhausted at the moment.
"Sure" Inshal accepted, Marlo opend the tent and she went in with him. "So I met a fletchling who is struggling with keeping herself fed" Inshal began the same question.
"A fletchling?" Marlo echoed slowly, "what in the world would have to do with one of those?" he sounded as if he could pass out at any moment.
"Are you ok?" Inshal asked with concern in her tone.
"No, the orb requires a lot of energy and I'm not doing too well with it" Marlo answered honestly.
"Do you want to continue this in the morning?" Inshal asked as Marlo looked half asleep.
"Usually when someone asks for something from me they prefer that I'm half asleep so that they can get what they want" Marlo said with a strange expression.
"Well can this fletchling have some of your blood?" Inshal asked straight up.
"You know what fine, I'll do it just not now" Marlo declared formally, "but it will cost you".
"Cost me what?" Inshal asked before making any decisions.
"You're gonna spend a proper night with me, not just cuddling" Marlo had a slight grin. Inshal thought for a minute, then she made her decision.
"Fine" Inshal declared and the shocked look on Marlos face was priceless, "you do let your gard down with me".
"What does that mean?" Marlo sat up straight, 'this time I teach you something' Inshal thought and her own grin formed on her face.
"You think that I'm weak don't you?" Inshal asked calmly, "you think that I'm not as superior as you" Inshal felt a new confidence and she knew how to use it.
"Ok ok you got me" Marlo siad with a nervous laugh, "I was treating like an angel is among us and I didn't consider your demon side half the time, but looks like now I owe my blood to someone".
"Yes tomorrow at around 5 in the morning" Inshal informed him.
"That early, well then I guess you owe me a little more now" he had a grin, "spend the night with me again, no sex needed I'm to tired for that" he layed down and waited.
"Alright fine" Inshal honestly didn't mind, she felt safe in his arms and she didn't exactly have her own tent yet. She rested on his chest and nuzzled her nose into his neck, she could feel his blood rushing through his body and the pulse of his heart. They both drifted of after a short while. That morning Inshal didn't wake up to an empty tent, Marlo was still fast asleep and Inshal could feel his breathing under her weight. She rested her head on his chest and waited for him to wake up.
