A week later Percy and his Pokémon were traveling through a grassy plains. He breathed in fresh air and reflected on the past week. Percy and his Pokémon had a relatively relaxing week. He spent most of his time understanding wild Pokémon politics.
Before when he crossed Pokémon borders he had to be told by one of his Pokémon. No matter how hard he looked he couldn't distinguish the place where the territory ended and started. But after a week of carefully inspecting the borders he noticed something interesting.
On the Butterfree borders Percy noticed a bit of dust lining the ground. It seemed to have come from the Butterfrees wings and marked their territory. Hair from Sentrets marked their territory and scratches on the ground marked the Rattata territory.
Percy has seen no sign of a Pidgey since a week ago. He imagined that they were seriously struggling especially since they lost most of their Pidgeottos. Percy had no regrets of his actions. It's all about the struggle for survival and the Pidgey were on the wrong side. His body was completely healed thanks to the Butterfree that healed him with Pollen Puff.
There isn't even scarring on his body from the healing moves. The other Prodigies have long given up on finding Percy. They figured that he was okay and just didn't want to be found which was fine. Most of them moved on from Honey City and were doing their own things.
Luna fully recovered and had no lasting problems. The only Prodigy that remained in Honey City was Aurora and she stayed to wait for Percy. Kai fortunately let her stay back after she begged him. Percy had enough time to himself and was ready to go back to society.
He even cooked up a good way to get back at Luna. Before he was having difficulty fighting against someone who is close with his friends. But now his previous tentativeness was gone and he was prepared for Lunas unpleasantness. He scanned all his Pokémon except for the Beedrill and checked on their progress.

His Pokémon had made a solid amount of progress in their strength. Fúrias potential had progressed to Orange and Percy reasoned it must've been from the high quality food he had bought her. 'Good thing too. Stuff costed the same as a small house.'
Fúria had been practicing on her battle strategies and has formed a solid strategy. Before she was an extremely flawed fighter. She couldn't fight against flying types at all and she didn't have any big strength that made her dangerous in battle.
Even Percy thought that her ability and flexibility was somewhat lackluster. None of her moves were extremely powerful nor extremely fast.
Nothing about her ability stood out and she was just kind of average. Percy was not looking for an average Pokémon. So he bought her a couple of TMs to enrich her arsenal.
He's been guiding her on how best to use the moves to compliment each other. First she uses Bulk Up and Focus Energy as much as she can. Once she's super charged she will use Double Team and several after images will appear around her and her enemy.
If the opponent ever tried to use a strengthening move she would use Taunt to stop them. Then she'll use Karate Chop and target weak areas. Since Karate Chop already has an increased chance to critical hit along with Focus Energy it makes it sure that Fúria will critical strike her opponent.
Percy also wanted to get Fúria to learn Agility so she can be faster. Percy also included an incredibly intense speed training program in her training to increase her already relatively fast speed.
Percy intended to make Fúria a speed demon that relies on her speed and critical hits to quickly take out her enemy while avoiding all of the damage. Pharaoh has increased his move mastery with Flamethrower.
And Jormun had finally reached Pokémon adulthood. Her mind hasn't reached adulthood but she was ready for intense body training and move training. When she reached level 10 her Inherent Moves finally developed. Percy had developed a plan for her training and what she could turn into.
Her Inherent Moves were odd and could be seen as a weird assortment. Wrap is not a commonly seen Inherent Move and normally it isn't seen as a strong move. Iron Tail was a normal move but kind of a weird move for an Ekans.
Percy had decided what the optimal plan for her was. He first made sure that he made most of her body training consist of various strength training. Then he made sure that she focused on Wrap and Iron Tail in her move training.
Also he asked her to try and distribute the Steel energy from Iron Tail throughout her whole body. His goal was to make her entire body hard like iron and develop the move Iron defenses. Also that would help her just become harder and tougher in general.
His plan was to have Jormun do one thing to her opponents. She would first use Wrap on the enemy and wrap herself around the enemy. Then she would use Iron Tail and slowly but surely squeeze tighter and tighter until the opponent surrendered or went unconscious.
It's a simple strategy but it could be deadly with the right build. Jormun was very happy about finally being able to train with her family and tackled her training with vigor.
All of Percys Pokémon enjoyed their training and never slacked. Percy and his Pokémon casually made their way back to Honey City. Percy decided to go to the Gym first to talk to the leader.
First while he walked he wanted to call Grace. 'Hello?' Grace picked up her phone. "Hey. Can I still go to the modeling thing." Percy asked. Grace jumped up excitedly and nodded quickly. "Yeah yeah of course. Here I'll send you the location of my agent and the time. Right now Kushida, Ash, Misty are going. But I guess that if you go then Jasper will go."
Grace clapped her hands excitedly. Percy smiled. "Alright thank you. See you at Viridian City than." Percy hung up and a smile crept up his face.
Meanwhile Grace hung up and jumped excitedly. "What's up?" Luna asked. They sat in a waiting room of some sorts.
Grace grabbed Lunas hands and smiled. "Percy will come to the modeling gig. So we'll have Jasper come too. It's going to be so fun." Lunas face dropped and her face turned a shade of red. "I wish I could see her face right now." Percy thought aloud.
Percy than checked his messages for when exactly the event was. It's in 3 and a half weeks so he has plenty of time to do what he needs to do and arrive at Viridian City in time. About 5 minutes after Percy called Grace he got a call from Aurora. It seemed Grace had immediately told everybody that Percy called her.
He hesitated in picking it up but decided to deny the call. Head Nurse Gin had asked him to stay away from Aurora or else it'll make their life difficult. And the last thing Percy wanted was to make someone else's life difficult. So he did the only reasonable thing, he ghosted Aurora.
He racked his brain for a simple and effective solution and came to this. It is definitely not the best way to do that but to him it was. He didn't block her number or anything he just refused to talk to her.
Aurora was confused as to why Percy denied her call especially right after he called Grace. She shrugged it off and thought to call him again in a couple of minutes. Percy soon arrived at Honey City where he immediately went to the Honey Gym.
He walked into the large reception area in the beautiful building and was immediately recognized by the receptionist. "Oh. Mister told me you would be coming. You can follow me." The male receptionist stood up and guided Percy to a large arena in the middle of the gym.
A large arena surrounded on all sides by spectator seats was seen by Percy. Yellow and green stained glass covered the roof and reflected a colorful array on the dirt arena. The spectator seats could hold upwards of a hundred thousand people. Two entrances are on the opposite sides of the arena and seemed to lead back to some sort of preparation room.
This is a real arena. Something about the sense he got from it clicked in Percy. The energy, the space, and the feeling of power he had was unmatched. He breathed in a sweet honey like scent before finally noticing two small figures on the battle field. Both released a Pokémon and Percy was surprised at the strength of them.
A Leavanny and a Scyther appeared across from each other. Both of the Pokémon were at least twice the size of the average size of their species. Some of their features seemed larger and almost regal when compared to its species. The Scyther had a specially large scythes and barbs branched off of them giving it a sinister and almost devilish appearance.
The Leavanny was more regal and seemed to look down on the Scyther. A leaf crown seemed to have started forming around the Pokémon's head and its antennae were significantly longer than what it should be for its size.
But the crown didn't seem to have formed yet and only covered half of its head. From what Percy could make out one of the people on the field seemed to be smiling while the other remained completely grim.
Their stances completely different, the grim person stood straight and without any sort of fun. Their opponent hopped from foot to foot as if excited. Both Pokémon screeched in pride at their opponent before disappearing from where they stood.
Both reappeared from in the middle of the arena clashing with their arm scythes. Each of them traveled at least 50 meters to reach the middle and they did it in the blink of an eye. They both clashed against each other before pushing themselves back. Both paused for a second before slashing their scythes in the air.
Arcs of energy appeared and sped toward their enemy's. It looked like the Scyther used Air Cutter and the Leavanny used some modified version of X Scissor. Percy didn't even know that you could modify moves to the point where it becomes a range move.
The arcs of energy clashed mid air and exploded into dust. Surprisingly the X Scissor was able to hold its own against the Air Cutter. Since bug is weak against flying and it's a modified move Percy thought it would be overpowered. Leavanny took a step back and threw its arms wide.
Leaves exploded out of its body and almost immediately covered the entire arena. An invisible barrier saved Percy. The leaves swirled viciously around the arena and tore at Scyther. Leavanny used a powered up Leaf Storm. Scyther was barely effected by the move since grass type moves do 1/4 damage to it.
The Scyther was effected by the intense wind kicked up by the storm. Sudden wind slashes hit the Scyther and sent it flying. It must've been a flying type move as it did a lot of damage to the Scyther. The already savage storm became dusty and Percy could barely see through it at all. He could hear the sounds of intense battle.
It seemed that one of the Pokémon used the moves Sandstorm. Percy saw glimpses and bits of stars flying through the dirt and dust. It seemed one of them were using Swift so it could easily track and attack the other. His face turned into surprise as the dirt and dust was suddenly blown away by a whirlwind.
Leavanny stood in the middle of the arena with scratches all over it. It looked winded and Percy assumed that it was hurt by the Swift. He didn't see any sort of damage from sand though so he thought that it had the overcoat ability. The Scyther was also slightly injured from the sandstorm.
The Leavanny cleared away the sandstorm with a Whirlwind when it spotted the Scyther clearly buffing itself with all of its known moves. The Leavanny chittered in anger before sending air slashes toward the Scyther. Scyther smirked before disappearing once more.
This time even the Leavanny seemed surprised at the speed the Scyther was showing. It apparently in the 30 seconds the sandstorm was up, used all kinds of different buffing moves. Percy knew that normally Scyther knew Swords Dance, Agility, Focus Energy, and Laser Focus by just leveling up. And he assumed that such a strong Pokémon already had mastered its moves allowing it to use so many at once.
If the Scyther was upgraded so much it would become difficult for Leavanny to win. After images of Scyther appeared around Leavanny and it used Double Team to effectively confuse Leavanny. Leavanny scoffed and listened to an order it got from its trainer.
Suddenly it spit a very large glob of silk into its hands and molded it. The several Scythers closed in on the Leavanny. It raised its hands where the silk exploded and covered the entire battle field in a web like pattern. All of the clones got taken out and the Scyther stood in place stuck by the sticky silk. It struggled against the sticky ropes holding it down but couldn't break it easily.
Leavanny immediately used its own moves. The sun became brighter and hotter as the Leavanny used Sunny Day. It then used Agility and Swords Dance as the Scyther struggled to free itself. The Scyther freed itself after only 10 seconds but that was all Leavanny needed.
Leavanny disappeared from where it stood and appeared behind the Scyther. It's speed had doubled because of its ability Chlorophyll. When there's harsh sunlight the speed will raise. What happened next was something Percy could barely see.
Both Pokémon were so fast that he couldn't understand what he was looking at before they disappeared. He did see however that Scyther had a difficult time as it couldn't touch the ground in fear of being stuck to it. Silk still covered the ground and would easily cause Scyther to get stuck.
Leavanny clearly knew of Scythers predicament so it forced it into uncomfortable situations. Just a minute later and a lot of green flashes later, Leavanny slammed Scyther into the ground knocking it out. Percy was leaning over the safety bar of the spectator seats so engrossed in the battle. It was simply incredible.
The choreography was high level, the battles flowed like water. No Pokémon had to stop moving to use a move. This was peak. Inside of him a new dream was born. Reach this level. 'I have to reach this level.' His heart pumped loudly in his chest his face beaming in excitement.
A tap on the shoulder brought him back to reality as he looked back to see the receptionist. "Oh. I'm sorry." Percy rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "No problem. I just thought you would want to see them battle while you waited." The receptionist said.
Suddenly large flapping wings could be heard. Percy turned to see two people get off of a very large Fearow. It was Heuning the gym leader and Hunter the right hand. Percy looked back at the arena to see it empty except for a couple of workers cleaning the arena.
They used fire types to slowly burn away at the strong silk and ground types to fix holes in the ground. Percy looked at the two extremely strong trainers in front of him.
The military like man was clearly displeased with the results of the battle. While Heuning seemed to be joyous. "Oh come on Hunter, you got pretty close to beating one of my main team Pokémon. We've prepared that move just for you anyway." She laughed.
Hunter only grunted in reply and walked away back into the gym. "You may leave us John." Heuning dismissed the receptionist. The receptionist bowed and quickly left. "Percy boy! How ya doing." Heuning yawned and fell into one of the spectator seats.
Percy shrugged and sat down a little away from the gym leader. "It's not every day I get to see a battle like that in person." Percy commented. "Yeah, Hunters a great trainer but he sticks to the textbook to much. That sandstorm thing was literally the most creative thing he used against me since I met him. Great guy." Heuning explained. She ran her hands through her hair before sighing. "Anyway, let's talk business."
