"What's up? You just almost died. There's so much that's up." Misty blurted. Her face was red with emotions. "Are you okay?" Jason asked.
He stood at the side of Percys bed looking concerned at his best friend. "No. I am not okay." Everyone became concerned and asked at the same time, "What's wrong?" Percy cringed in pain. "She's on top of my leg." They all looked down the bed to see Aurora crying into Percys leg.
Most of her weight was on Percys injured leg. Zoe picked Aurora up and escorted her out of the room. "So what happened?" Ash asked. Percy closed his eyes and layed back. Kai was still unconscious from the Hypno and Percy didn't have the energy to explain.
Even he wanted to know what happened after he passed out. "We tried to know what happened after the Honey Gym brought you back to the Pokémon Center but they wouldn't talk to us about anything." Suddenly the door to the room opened and the Honey City Gym Leader Heuning Miele walked through her arms outstretched.
Zoe and Aurora walked in behind her curious. "Prodigies!"She looked at the room of serious faced teenagers. "Alright, Alright. I'm sure you have some questions." The Prodigies remained silent. Most of them wanted to verbally abuse the gym leader but they knew that their position is seriously below.
She's been completely ignoring all of their attempts to know what happened or come into contact at all. "So let's start from the beginning. How did you guys get into that situation?" Ash took a calming deep breath and started explaining what had happened. "We were searching the forest for the main nest when suddenly a sinkhole opened beneath us. Luna, Zoe, Kai and Percy fell into a cave that was heavily nested by the Spinarak and Ariados.
Lunas leg was crushed by a boulder and she was knocked out. Percy lifted the boulder off of her and we picked Luna up out of the cave with our Pidgeottos. By the time we got Luna out of there the Spinarak and Ariados had almost arrived and we had to get out of there. Jasper teleported Zoe out of the cave and we left Kai and Percy behind. We took Luna to the Pokémon Center and called the Honey Gym to inform them on the situation and that we figured out where their nest is." Just then Kai woke up groggily and looked around the room. "Huh what's going on." "Explain what happened after we left." Jasper said.
Percy was swimming in and out of hearing anything. Just like head nurse Gin said, his body was still on the edge of consciousness and could barely hold up. He had low blood count and his wounds were still opened. Occasionally a Chansey would come in and heal him a little bit to make sure his wounds wouldn't scar.
He couldn't be completely healed by Pokémon because it would cause problems in the future. Eventually if he relied on Pokémon healing, his body would stop regenerating itself and he could then ONLY be healed by Pokémon. His head was still hurting from when he slammed his head in a tree.
Kai explained the events until he got knocked out in the river. "I don't know what happened out after that cause I got knocked out." Everybody looked at Percy for his part. Percys head fell back and up in confusion. His head snapped up. "Oh uhhh." He tried to remember what happened. "I performed CPR on Kai because he wasn't breathing." Percy explained. Kai looked at him in horror and felt his lips subconsciously. "Chill out, it was only chest compressions.
Once I got you breathing again I dragged you into a Pokémon burrow in a bush. I realized the spiders would've found us if I didn't do something. So I left my Pokémon with your unconscious body and distracted the Pokémon. I ran and tried to buy as much time as possible but I got impaled by several Poison Stings and collapsed." Percy explained sluggishly.
Vivid memories of him screaming in pain and blood seeping from his wounds resurfaced in his mind. He closed his eyes again trying to dull some of the pain he felt. "So what happened after that." Ash addressed Heuning. Heuning Miele smiled and but her arm over Percys shoulder. "Me, Hunter and the top trainers of Honey Gym acted almost immediately after you called us. I had a little friend find Percy and Kai." Suddenly a small Joltik appeared on her shoulder.
Heunings hair rose from the static electricity released by the small bug Pokémon. Percy realized that the Joltik must've been what he saw all those times. Even when he left the burrow he thought he saw something yellow but discarded it. The Joltik must've been incredibly strong as it was super fast. "Level 45?" Jasper asked. He held his Pokédex up and scanned the Joltik.
Apparently the small Pokémon's level was post elite level. "But they normally evolve much earlier." Ash commented. Heuning shrugged. "She never wanted to evolve. It's not like she has to evolve or anything." Percy watched the bug curiously and it returned the gaze. "Anyway we found Kai in the burrow safe but not Percy. So we rushed to the commotion and cleared out the spiders closing in on him.
He was in dire conditions when we arrived and Hunter flew him to the Pokémon Center on his Fearow. Me and the rest of the trainers wiped out the big leaders of the colony and returned to the gym." Heuning finished recounting her experience. Most of the Prodigies were silent and staring at him.
Percy had long passed out and couldn't stand being awake any longer. "Anyway! When Percy boy wakes up tell him to come to the gym and we'll talk about something. And for the rest of you, I'll tell Professor Oak about your success and at noon in 3 days we'll talk about your rewards. Cya!" She quickly left the hospital room. Miraculously neither Grace nor Luna woke up at all throughout all of it. All of the Prodigies remained silent and thought different things.
They all thought about one thing though. Never again, will they let their friends go through such pain. They could tell that Percy was seriously underselling his performance. You don't save two of your 'friends' lives and not do a little bit more than what Percy described. He casually described performing CPR on Kai saving his life and then described sacrificing his life for Kai.
Percy didn't seem to be waking anytime soon so the Prodigies trickled away. It was noon and they headed back to their hotel room. Kai was pretty much almost okay and he was discharged from the hospital. Just Aurora remained in the room and she stood above Percys head. Her face portrayed a feeling of intense conflict.
Grace slowly opened her eyes just in time to see Aurora bend over and kiss Percy on the top of his head. She squeezed her eyes shut and pretended to be asleep while Aurora left the room. She slowly opened her eyes a couple minutes after Aurora left to see Percy unconscious. "Thank goodness he's okay." She whispered to herself.
She always hoped that Percy was okay but naturally her sister took priority in her attention. Grace sat back in her chair and watched as both trainers slept. Her mind was thinking intensely about what she just saw in between Aurora and Percy.
Percy awoke to the sound of Grace and Luna talking. He felt a lot better than he did before and could sit up with no trouble at all. His sudden movement made both girls jump as he hadn't moved for over 24 hours. It was mid afternoon the next day and Luna had awoken that morning.
Most of the Prodigies came to greet her and assure her that everything was okay and they succeeded in their mission. Luna didn't remember much except for the fact that the ground crumbled beneath her and she was pinned beneath a boulder.
They explained to her the vague summary of the events but didn't elaborate as it didn't seem necessary. It just didn't seem important at that moment. Grace stood up and walked to Percys side. "Is there something I can get you." She asked her eyes showing extreme concern.
Percy nodded eagerly. "Water please." He croaked. Grace fetched Percy some water and hand gave him the water. It was very difficult for Percy to raise his arms. He could drink himself it's just he would have to go through an unreasonable amount of pain. Luna became disgusted at the fact Grace was pampering Percy like this.
Percy drank all the water quickly and thanked Grace. He cleared his throat and looked around the room. He saw Luna staring at him in disgust and his back was covered in cold sweat. Percy searched his social brain to come up with something. "Are you okay Luna?". He asked.
Luna snorted and replied, "My leg had been crushed to pieces and that's all you got to say." Grace was shocked. She hadn't heard Luna talk to someone like that for a long time. "Luna come on let's calm down. There's no need to be like that." Grace reasoned. Luna became more angry that Grace was being nice to Percy.
Luna wasn't hearing any of it. "I get my leg crushed to bits and this is how he asks me how I am. What's he got going wrong with him?" She started getting angry. Nobody told her that it was Percy alone that lifted the boulder up off of her and nobody told her what Percy did to save Kai. She only knew that they found the nest and accomplished the mission and some of them got injured.
Not once was she actually curious as to how Percy got hurt nor did she care. "Well I-." Percy started. "What. Did you have a limb crushed. Did you get stuck under a boulder?" Luna got more and more heated for apparently no reason. "But I-". "Whats even the point of talking if you don't have anything to contribute. You're just a useless fucking idiot." Percy didn't know what to say. He was overwhelmed and the emotional rollercoaster that Luna was putting him through only made things worse.
The more he thought the more he was uncertain on his future. It may seem simple to anybody else but he couldn't wrap his mind around his actions. The raw difference of his environment has been a little too much for him. He's been dulling his emotions and real thoughts on things. Never in his life had he been taught how to deal with his emotions.
As a child he never once did anything out of line. So not once had he been reprimanded or taught anything about emotions. Percy as a child was an incredibly odd child. To his adoptive father and butler it wasn't weird as they've literally never interacted with children in their life.
Ever since Percy was a child he would kind of just sit around and watch. His eyes reflected an odd amount of intellect. Almost as if each second of his life was recorded and stored in his head. Baby Percy never laughed or had any kind of big emotion.
Most of his time was spent watching Pokémon or his 'family'. His 'father' never thought anything wrong of it but rather thought it to be pleasant. His father (Omar) treated Percy like a pet. Feed him, let him go to the bathroom and show occasional moments of attention. Percy never knew any better. Since the moment Percy had arrived on their front step he had never cried.
Only crying when he saw a Rattata get destroyed for being to aggressive on the property. The high level Butterfree was a sort of guardian of the property and didn't allow Pokemon get out of hand. It had used Gust on the Rattata slamming it into a tree killing it instantly.
Percy was four when it happened and it was a major change in his life at that moment. Toddler Percy did everything in his power to become better at everything. Wether it was watching Pokémon interact to learn their behaviors better, wether it was watching his 'father' and butler talk. He made note of every single interaction. What socializing was like. What Pokémon tend to be more violent. If an average boy was in Percys position he would've died from lack of attention.
But Percy never knew better so he loved his father with every single fiber of his being. Omar nor Brooke ever taught Percy anything. The most being potty training and proper table manners. Percy learned how to talk, read, and do math on his own. Nothing short of a miracle. Omar found near no value in Percys existence except for the fact that he could make Percy retrieve books for him. His old body couldn't do everything and Percy was happy to do anything for his father.
He knew nothing else, but he was happy. Percy never left his house to do anything. No shopping, no socializing or anything else. But again, he didn't know that people normally do so he couldn't be more grateful. Percy continued on with life and absorbed information of literal all kinds like a sponge. He had figured out every single thing about Omar's and Brookes personalities.
He knew what it meant when Omar would blink in a specific way, he knew what meal Brooke made when he was in a specific mood. He knew each of their food dislikes, how fast they read books, even what their favorite color is. By just watching. They were literally the only people he knew and they were his world. Percy turned 13 and his body was finally ready for training.
One day Professor Oak visited his old colleague at the manor. Oak had no idea what a neglectful 'father' Omar was but Omar had been a great Professor when he was younger. Professor Oak ended up seeing Percy and was puzzled. He never thought that Omar was the kind of person to have kids.
Percy watched him unblinking seeing the third human ever in his life. "I never knew you had a son." Oak commented. "Oh him. Yeah." Was all Omar said. Percy kept his eyes opened wide not wanting to miss a second of this new mans presence. "Is he going to become a trainer. If so I'll supply him stuff." "Yeah I guess he can." Omar said uninterested.
Omar guided Oak away from Percys view and showed him some stuff he was working on. Percy remained rooted where he stood and banked all the information he had. He noted how they talked to each other and ran simulations in his brain on what'd he would say to Professor Oak. Percy had read on what a trainer is in many books in the house library.
Someone who catches, trains, cares for, and battles with Pokémon. Neither Brooke or Omar owned a single Pokémon so Percy could barely wrap his head around it. He was raised his entire life thinking that Pokémon and humans can't mesh really warped his perspective.
Omar and Brooke didn't like Pokémon that much and kept them away from the house. Percy approached the old men who seemed to be talking over a science instrument. "Will you take me as a trainer?" Percy asked. His eyes looked cutely up at Professor Oak. Oak smiled at Percy and nodded. "Of course boy. I'll get you a strong Pokémon and all the proper equipment and help you start your trainer journey when you turn 16." He ruffled Percys hair.
Percy became confused at the hair ruffling but nodded and left the room. Omar didn't think much of it but was mildly frustrated at being interrupted. Percy had been invigorated with more will to become better. Omar finished showing Professor Oak his stuff and Oak left.
Omar was thinking to himself in his chair when he came to an epiphany. He realized that he could use Percy to his advantage. Omar had realized that Percy had taught himself to read and do math without any external help. Percy was clearly a very talented boy who had a big future. 'I can use him.' It was then that Omar thought up a plan. He needed a Full Blood legendary item in order to fuel his last invention but he had no way of acquiring it. A fake doctor diagnosed him with a disease that could only be cured with a Full Blood Legendary item. Percy became fixated with getting it and Omar knew that his plan had worked.
All he had to do was stay in bed more and put on makeup to look tired. Omar from that day on got Brooke to do normal things with Percy. Wether it was talking to him about stuff to getting books for Percy, he started to develop a real relationship with him. Percy was hooked. Percy eventually unlocked aura and felt the lies from his father. But loving his father so blindly caused him to not believe his own emotion sense.
Percy worked his ass off and tried to reach his peak form before leaving to become a trainer. Leaving his house was something he longed for and finally achieved. But walking out the door, his sole goal was to help his father and nothing else. But as Percy experienced more of the vastness of the world he started questioning. 'Why did father never take me out here. This is incredible.' Bit by bit Percy started to resent his father.
He was experiencing so much, becoming better at things. Becoming a functioning member of society. Percy never would've integrated with society very well if he hadn't been so perceptive or talented. When he left he was a blank slate. Easily influenced by every single event that happened to him.
Changing with a slight touch. Somebody looked at him weird and that changed his entire being at that moment. Like clay he was molded into what he is now and is still ever evolving. You may be asking how he was so normal as a person when he first met Jason. The second Percy got out of his house he was watching. Watching the way people walked to make sure he wasn't walking weird.
Almost immediately he corrected the way he walked and stuck to it. He watched the way people talked to each other. Their expressions, their slang. Brooke and Omar, both being old men, never used slang and talked in a very old way. Percy was aware of his shortcomings that made him seem weird and sheltered so he put all of his energy in his first week to imitate the people around him.
After pulling patterns in speech, social norms, and all other social conducts from people he formed a personality and covered it over himself. His incredible talent for all things allowed him to remember most of the things people did and what the reaction was.
He still had some sort of his own personality at the moment but most of him was a show to not seem weird. Being nice is something that he genuinely still is. Percy from the beginning was never trying to deceive someone it's just that he couldn't integrate with society any way else.
While he was living he was building a personality that suited him and was socially acceptable. He decided that eventually he would start replacing bits of his persona with the real him slowly. He's been avoiding questions that make him think past the persona he had up.
For example Aurora asked him why he didn't get sick the second he saw the trainers condition. He avoided the question and never talked about it. At that moment he hadn't seen anybody react to something like that so he didn't know what would've been acceptable.
Even if Percy saw that normal people would do nothing but be disgusted and throw up he probably wouldn't follow suit. Percy will never change himself if somebody's going to be hurt because of it. When Claire and Percy met the Honey Clan members, Percy had experienced a completely knew emotion. Anger.
Not once in his life had he been angry at something that has the opportunity to not be mean or disrespectful. When he was slapped by the girl and then Claire was embarrassed he stopped and thought about what he was feeling. He didn't build an anger personality so what came out was pure and unadulterated anger.
They had hurt Claire and he wanted to hurt them. Percy had never felt an emotion like that and easily could've killed them had Claire not been witness. Do not mistake Percy for an unfeeling robot.
He likes all of his actions or otherwise he wouldn't do it. He's a genuine guy who is just a little challenged. If not for his father and butler, Percy could be an incredibly successful person. He's working on healthily managing his emotions.
(AN): I haven't been updating cause I'm lazy as hell. Also I know this is a lot of information for his backstory buy bare with me.
