Chapter 19 - Chapter 18

Percy had spent a about 5 hours just attacking every Pokémon he could see with his Pokémon. He had found everything in the area and it seemed that all the Pokémon had gone into hiding to avoid him.

In about 5 hours he had come across tons of Pokémon that he defeated swiftly. He had defeated 23 Pokémon and caught 10 of them. After all of that battling Crash had evolved. Percy gave Crash the Feraligatr scale while he was evolving so his potential increased. All of the Pokémon he had caught were:

1 Oddish Light Yellow

1 Sentret Light Green

3 Rattata Light Green, Dark Green, Green

2 Pinsir Dark Green, Green

1 Zigzagoon Light Green

2 Caterpie Light Green, Green

He didn't think any of these Pokémon deserved to be his Pokémon and he just planned on selling them. He didn't even think that Fúria could belong to his main team of Pokémon.

Percy and his Pokémon were completely exhausted from attacking that many Pokémon. It was still only 3 o'clock and Percy was completely tired. He was on his way back to the city so he can wash up and get some resources for his training. Percy used 5 Potions, 2 Energy Powder and 2 Antidotes.

He had used up more stuff than he thought. Percy walked back to the city and quickly entered. He went into his hotel and entered his room. He let out his Pokémon and took a hot shower. About half an hour later Percy left the hotel and went to Honey Gym.

He traded in all the Pokémon he had caught today and earned 128,000 for them. He had to do a little negotiating for the price though. He immediately ran out of the gym and to the Pokemart. He bought:

50 Pokeballs

20 Potions

50 Energy Powder

28 Top Mankey food

28 Top Croconaw food

28 Top Growlithe food

1 Hone Claws TM

1 Double Team TM

1 Taunt TM

1 Focus Energy TM

All of that together cost Percy 95,950 pokedollars. A single tear streaked down Percys face as he thought of all of the things he could've bought with the money he spent on food.

He spent over 80,000 pokedollars on just their food. That's more than the average persons salary. Percy hoped that his Pokémon would achieve miracles with the money he's spending on them. He was thinking for a while and thought that he should buy some TMs to increase Fúrias options in battle.

He felt like her current battle style wasn't enough and was underwhelming. He was hoping that she could keep on living up to his standards. Percy was going to have a main Pokémon team and a extra force of Pokémon on the side. At the rate Fúria was going she wouldn't even live up to his side force standards.

After that he immediately went to the Pokémon Center. This was the first time he had ever gone to the Pokémon center personally. Most of the time if his Pokémon weren't severely injured he would just spray a potion on them and let them rest.

The building was one of the largest buildings in the city. It was wide with about 8 floors. It was a clean white with a Red Cross above the door. There was almost always people run in and out of the center. Some people were being carried in on stretchers and some Pokémon were being carried in on stretchers. 'Is it a human hospital and a Pokémon hospital?' Percy asked himself.

He walked into the Pokémon center and saw two desks labeled Pokémon, Humans. Percy strolled to the desk and a Nurse Joy greeted him. "What can I do for you sir?" The Nurse Joy politely asked. "I'm here to heal my Pokémon." Percy said. She nodded and asked for his Trainer ID. Percy healed his Pokémon for only a fee of 50 pokedollars.

He walked out of the Pokémon center and back into the wilds. He wanted to spend all of his time outside of the city. He thought that he could temper himself to harsher conditions. Instead of going to the west this time Percy wanted to go to the east of the city.

First he wanted to give his Pokémon their TMs. He gave Double Team, Taunt, and Focus Energy to Fúria and gave Crash Hone Claws. He thought that now was the time to check their stats.

Percy was happy that Crash had gotten a good move with his potential increase. Crunch is a strong biting move and could be the strongest biting move.

And a Croconaw that has one of the most powerful bite forces could really put it to work. After looking at their stats Percy talked to them about what moves he wanted them to train. He told Crash to train Aqua Tail, Scald and Protect. He told Fúria to train Dig, Bulk Up and Protect.

He told Pharaoh to train Flamethower, Metal Claw and Protect. There were plenty of other moves he wanted them to train but it wouldn't be effective if they trained so many different moves. He wanted to get all of their Inherent Moves to Expert rank before he did anything else.

Percy called Pharaoh and Crash back to their pokeballs and walked with Fúria on his shoulder. He was going to take the rest of the day slow as it was still only 5 and there was still daylight left. Percy walked for 15 minutes just observing his surroundings.

He was in a large plains with long grass. In order to walk properly he had to pick his feet up and trudge through the grass. Just the top of his head peaked through the grass. Suddenly Percy felt two aura signatures enter his area and rapidly speed toward him. He tapped Fúria to warn her and flicked his axe off of his belt.

With his axe in hand Percy faced the directions of the threat. A purple snake flew through the grass towards Percys neck. Percys eyes widened as he side stepped the speedy snake. The snake sped past Percy and into the grass disappearing from sight. The second aura signature was quickly approaching from the same direction. Percy redirected his attention toward new threat and signaled Fúria to pursue the Ekans.

The grass in front of Percy parted revealing girl about Percys age with a dagger in her hand. She smirked and thrusted the dagger towards Percys neck. His eyes widened as her blade neared his neck. Percys body went into overdrive and his heart felt like it was going to burst out of his chest. Aura flowed through his body strengthening his muscles, bones and organs.

He sidestepped quickly and the knife slid past his jaw leaving a small cut. Her eyes widened as she saw she had missed her attack. Percys left hand grabbed the arm that had just stabbed at him and bent it behind the girls back. His right hand grabbed a handful of her hair.

He pushed the back of the girls head down and simultaneously kicked her legs out from under her. The girl started falling to the ground and Percy pushed her head into the ground. Her head slammed into the ground and Percy pinned the arm her grabbed against her back.

The girl was surprised by the development but stayed calm. Percy was pinning her to the ground from her head and was pinning her arm against her back. She raised her leg and a knife slid out from the bottom of her shoe. She suddenly moved her leg quickly stabbed toward Percy. Her leg closed the distance before stopping centimeters from Percys spine. "Call off your Ekans." Percy said gruffly. Percy had his axe pressed tightly against the back of the girls neck the blade just barely drawing blood.

The girl scowled looking back at Percy with her cheek pressed into the ground. "Stop fighting Serpe." She called out to her Pokémon. Percy could hear the Pokémon fighting in the long grass. "Come Fúria." Percy called. A second later both Pokémon emerged from the grass with a confused look on.

The Ekans saw the condition of its trainer and hissed aggressively and slithered toward them. "Stop! Just cooperate for now." The girl called out. Percy didn't like the way she worded the sentence. 'For now' implied that she wasn't always going to cooperate and potentially attack him again. Percy looked toward Furia and said "Let them out." Fúria nodded and walked behind Percy pressing a button on two pokeballs.

Crash and Pharaoh appeared behind Percy and looked around confused. They almost immediately noticed the situation and both Crash and Pharaoh became alert. "Pharaoh guard against that Ekans and Crashyou come here." Percy said. "Keep your jaws around her neck while I tie her up." Crash put his jaws around the girls neck threatening to clamp her down any second. Percy retrieved thin rope from his Pokédex and tied the girls legs and hands up.

Then he had her call her Ekans back to its pokeball. He took the pokeball and put it in his pocket. After that Pharaoh cleared out a small grass area with Metal Claw and Percy had the girl sit on the ground. The whole time she was staring daggers into Percy and his Pokémon. Eventually she built up the courage to talk. "What kind of trainer are you having a shiny Growlithe and a Totodile?" Percy shot her a glance and responded "A very fortunate one." He sat in front of the girl and closed his eyes.

His hands were shaking aggressively and Percy was honestly scared a few minutes ago. 'I'm not suited for this lifestyle.' Percy thought to himself. He did breathing exercises until he felt somewhat calmer than before. Percy slowly opened his eyes and watched the girl in front of him. Although she was tied up and in a very bad situation she seemed less nervous than she should be.

Percy watched her for a few minutes before standing up and moving toward her. He searched all of her pockets and found some interesting stuff. She didn't seem to mind him touching her. Percy found a Team Rocket style Pokédex. It looked just like his except it was dressed in red and black with a large R on the back.

He turned it on and tried to open it. He came upon a screen asking for a password. "What's your password." He asked the girl. "Like hell I'm going to tell you." She scoffed at Percy and spit in his direction. Crash growled and lunged forward but was held back by Pharaoh. Percy was rather indifferent at the attempt to anger him.

He shrugged and unclipped his axe from his belt. Axe swinging in hand Percy calmly walked toward the girl. "Wh-what are you going to do. My parents can pay you a lot of money." She started getting nervous as she saw Percy wasn't gonna resort to average person means. An average person in this situation would call the cops or maybe ask for her information.

In which she would just tell them to call her parents and her parents would sort it out. Percy didn't conform to these norms. He grabbed the girl by her hair hair and cut off a third of it. "Every time you refuse to cooperate with me or lie to me I'll cut something off." Percy let go of the girls hair and asked once more. "What's your password." "M-my hair." The girl reached up toward her hair and felt it assessing the damage. "What's your password." Percy said. He was starting to get frustrated. He couldn't believe she was concerned with something like her hair when she had just tried to murder him.

She looked back at him her eyes filled with hatred. 'Still not cooperating.' He shook his head and reached for her hair again. "It's Teamrocket4life." She said desperately. "4 the number?" Percy asked. "Yeah. We aren't supposed to give out our Pokédex password as it'll compromise Team Rocket. I didn't think I'd tell anyone that." She said explained. "...…". Percy was silent. Her Team Rocket Pokédex has essentially the same setup as Percys Pokédex.

There was all kinds of normal applications and things. It was pretty much the same as any standard Pokédex until Percy saw something that was out of ordinary. There was an app that had a large red R on it. Percy opened ir and saw that it had all kinds of missions. Missions that rewarded TR points and other things. Percy just scanned the top of the list and saw that the girl had accepted a mission. "Are you out here trying to catch Ekans."

The mission was giving 100,000 TR points for bringing back 10 Ekans to a Team Rocket base. "That's none of your fucking business." She snarled. Percy cut of another third of her hair. She screamed bloody murder and thrashed on the ground. "What are you doing out here." Percy asked once more. "My parents gave me information on a Ekans colony and I wanted to be promoted soon.

So I hired some guys to help me capture all of the Ekans." She rolled on the ground and tears spilled out of her face. Percy sat on the ground absorbing the information he received. Nova Johnson was her name as Percy had seen it earlier when he was snooping through her Pokédex. "Do you want to tell me where you are catching them right now, Nova." Percy asked. "Our camp is set up about 30 minutes to the south." His eyes narrowed as he felt some conflicting emotions with his aura sense.

"Don't lie to me." He calmly said. He couldn't exactly tell if somebody was lying to him but he could feel conflicting feelings which is usually a telltale sign that somebody wasn't telling the truth. People who had control over their emotions would be able to avoid his detection.

If somebody genuinely believed in their lie Percy would have no way to tell if it is the truth. Nova clearly wasn't a good liar. "Of course I'm telling the truth." She snapped. Percy shook his head in exasperation and stepped forward holding his axe. "I promise I'm telling the truth." Nova stuttered. Percy held the last bit of her hair and swung down with his axe. "Wait!" She screamed.

The axe stopped a centimeter from her hair. "If I tell you will you let me go?" Percy thought for a second and said "Sure, if it's the truth." She sighed and put her head down. "Our camp is 20 minutes to the north if you travel at a walking speed. There's 20 other people." "If you give me more information then I'll give you your Ekans back." She looked at Percy with rage and took a deep breath. "7 of them don't have any Pokémon because they are just grunts. 10 have weak Pokémon with a level no higher than 15. Weak Pokémon like Rattata and Spearow. There's one guy who has a Koffing that is level 17.

One guy has an Ekans that is level 16 and another guy has a level 15 Zubat. He doesn't let it out unless it's night time so it can watch the camp. And if you are going to attack them please make sure none of them get away alive. My parents will cover up their deaths as accidents." She finished talking and lowered her head. Percy could tell what she was saying was the truth. Percy watched her for a few seconds and tied her up even more.

After checking to make sure that there wasn't any concealed knifes so she couldn't free herself. "I'm going to see what I can do. If I come back alive I'll give you your Pokémon and let you go. If your gone when I get back I won't give your Ekans back." She seemed to be attached to her Ekans so he was hoping that was enough to keep her here. Then Percy started at a fast jog north toward the camp location.
