Percy was woken up by Jasper and took his watch. It was still dark outside and was nearing morning. He rubbed his eyes and sat on his log watching his surroundings.
He had Crash by his side and Ekans around his neck coiled up. She watched her surroundings curious and watchful. "Let's try and get you a name." Percy scratched her head and started listing off names. After a few minutes of listing off names they settled on the name Jormun.
Percy thought of it from a book he read at his house where there was a very large snake that circled the entire world. They kept watch over camp until the sun rose. Jasper and Ash woke up and started preparing breakfast while taking down the tents. "Today's going to be more difficult than yesterday. The colony would have noticed 50 of them disappearing and they'll most likely go hunting in higher quality and bigger groups. We'll have to be more careful as well." Percy and Jasper nodded and finished their breakfast.
They quickly packed up their camp and set on the plains. Jormun stayed around Percys neck as he didn't want her to be stuck in her pokeball when she was newly born. They walked around the nest for about half an hour but were unable to find any Fearow or Spearow. "Maybe we should get closer to the nest." Ash suggested. Suddenly a shrill scream pierced the air. The scream was followed by yelling.
Percy, Ash, and Jasper exchanged glances and immediately ran toward the yelling. Fortunately the yelling was away from the Fearow nest or else it would have attracted their attention. They quickly arrived at the sight of the yelling to find a camp. About 20 Fearows swarmed the camp attacking the people in it. There were two girls with Pokémon and 5 boys trying to defend against the attack.
They looked to be about Percys age and were all dressed in trainer gear. Unfortunately they were completely outnumbered and out skilled. Percy did a quick scan and saw that the average level of the Fearow was level 23. Meanwhile the trainers all had Pokémon of less than level 20. They were quickly being overwhelmed and stood absolutely no chance against the Fearow.
Ash immediately jumped out of the long grass and ran toward the people fighting. His Pidgey and Pikachu followed closely behind. Jasper sighed before also running out of the grass toward the battling. Percy felt he had no choice but to contribute as well but he didn't have as much confidence in beating this many Fearow.
Percy burst out of the grass releasing all of his Pokémon and finding his first target. "Target all Fearow." Percy ordered his Pokémon before finding where he could help. He saw Jasper teleport to a girl who was close to being impaled by a Fearow. He pushed her to the side narrowly saving her life. Percy turned his head to see Crash jump into the air grabbing a Fearow by its neck. His mouth held onto it while he prepared a move.
His teeth became covered in dark energy and his jaws clamped on the Fearows neck. The Fearow screeched but still fought to escape Crash. Crash held on tightly and prepared another move. He used Scald with the Fearows neck still in his mouth. Boiling water cooked the birds neck and it went limp in his mouth.
Percy glanced at Ash and saw his Pikachu one shot a Fearow with Thunderbolt. A Fearow in front of Percy dove toward a boy who fell on his behind. An unconscious Sentret was laying on the ground next to him as he looked at his impending death. Percys eyes opened wide and an intense wave of violent and malevolent energy slammed into the Fearow. The Fearows eyes rolled back and it fell to the ground unconscious.
The boy passed out of fear but remained unharmed. Percy ran toward the boy and dragged him out of all the action. He also brought the boys unconscious Sentret to safety. Percy scanned the battlefield once more and saw Pharaoh defeating a Fearow and moving on to help Fúria with her opponent.
Fúria was not faring well against her opponent as she was at a severe disadvantage when going against flying Pokémon. Crash fought viciously and aggressively against two Fearow and gradually sped up. Percy was surprised at Crash's ability to handle multiple opponents especially with his low speed. Jasper and his Pokémon were handling 3 Fearow with Jasper occasionally teleporting to save someone.
Ash and his Pokémon destroyed Fearows left and right. His Pikachu would do severe damage or just knock it out and his Pidgey would finish it off. But it did look like his Pikachu was running out of energy. There was only one more trainer still battling against Fearow as the rest of them were defeated and taken out of the battle. Jasper and Ash werr successfully able to save all the trainers and their Pokémon. There was a boy with a Nidorina that still fought.
His Pokémon was severely hurt but still fought valiantly against two Fearow. Percy sprinted toward the boy as he was on his last legs and wouldn't last longer. Both Jasper and Ash were throughly distracted and he was the only one who could do anything. Pharaoh and Fúria just defeated their opponent and saw their trainer run past them. They tried to follow him but Percy pointed to Crash. "Fúria help relieve pressure on Crash, Pharaoh come with me." Percy had faith in Crash to last long enough for Percy to get him enough help.
At the moment Fúria was just a distraction and wouldn't be able to do much. Pharaoh followed at Percys heels until they arrived at the boys side. "Flamethrower." Percy ordered. Pharaoh quickly prepared his move and used Flamethrower on a Fearow that was attacking the Nidorina. The Fearow was unable to dodge the attack as it was preparing a move to use. It was blown back but stabilized itself in the air. It was only now that the boy noticed the extra help he was receiving. He was invigorated with motivation and battled harder. Suddenly Percy felt an aura signature enter his area.
He flicked the hatchet off of his belt and flicked his wrist countering the attack. A completely new Fearow flew towards Percy quickly and slammed against his hatchet. Percy was forced back a few meters his feet sliding to a stop. Fortunately he was able to keep his footing and stood up straight looking at the new threat. A Fearow that gave off a more threatening vibe had just attacked Percy. Pharaoh saw this and immediately tried to attack it. "No Pharaoh!" Percy yelled.
If the boy was left without assistance then he would surely lose. Ash and Jasper were still plenty distracted and Percy could handle this himself. At least he hoped he could. Pharaoh showed a pained look before turning back to his opponents. The Fearow and Percy maintained eye contact and stared at each other with a threatening glint. Crash saw Percy get attacked by the Fearow and became more aggressive.
He desperately attacked the Fearow in an attempt to defeat them quickly. The Fearow flapped it's wings and cawed a challenge. It immediately sped toward Percy its beak glowing. Percy swung his axe countering the Peck. His whole body was strengthened by aura and he was several times stronger than before. Percys axe and the Fearows beak clashed before breaking apart.
They both backed up but quickly came closer attacking each other. The dark steel continuously slammed against the beak and sparks flew. To people who were spectating it looked impossible the way Percy positioned his body. Eventually Percy missed a beat and had to narrowly dodge an attack.
He was so close to getting hit that his shirt was ripped to shreds by the Fearows beak. Pharaoh had just defeated one of the Fearow and was close to defeating the other. Fúria had been knocked out by one of the Fearow and it was just Crash fighting against two Fearow. He looked like he would only be able to take a couple more hits before going down. Percy was quickly exhausting and his arms felt like they were made of lead.
He parried another attack from the Fearow and backed up more. He was panting hard and his shirt was torn in half and hanging loosely at his hips. Percy was on the verge of collapsing. Suddenly an arc of lightning struck the Fearow causing it to back up. Although Percy was on his last leg he was unable to deal any damage to the Fearow. Jasper and his Pikachu appeared at Percys side. "Thanks for holding on so long. We'll take this." Jasper said. "Alright be careful it's stronger than the others." Percy advised. Jasper nodded and ordered his Pikachu to attack.
Percy turned around and limped toward Pharaoh. He had slightly sprained his ankle and was just trying to not make it worse. Pharaoh was just finishing up the battle with the other trainer. Unfortunately the Nidorina was knocked out and it was a 1 on 1 with Pharaoh and the Fearow. Pharaoh had taken minor damage but was still strong. He defeated it and turned to help Percy but came face to face with him. "Let's go help Crash." Percy limp ran to Crash with Pharaoh in front of him.
Pharaoh prepared a move and blew flames out of his mouth. The distracted Fearow couldn't dodge so it took the hit dead on and fell to the ground. Crash had already weakened it so much that it could only take one hit. Percy recalled the unconscious Fúria to her pokeball and directed both Pharaoh and Crash to quickly defeat the Fearow. They defeated it with ease and looked around the rest of the battlefield.
Jasper and Ash were just finishing up their battles. Percy used a Super Potion to heal Pharaoh and Crash and fed them energy powder. Then he released Fúria and healed her with a potion. Then he picked her up and held her in his arms. Jormun who was still around Percys neck this entire time flicked her tongue and tasted Fúria. "Oh shit. I completely forgot you were around my neck. You could've gotten really hurt." He sighed. Jasper and Ash both defeated the final Fearow and looked around them.
Knocked out Pokémon littered the ground. Percy counted 20 Fearow splayed all over the ground. Ash and Jasper both ran over to Percy while checking and healing their Pokémon. Although they didn't take as much damage as Percy they didn't escape unscathed. Jaspers Monferno was covered in cuts and his Pikachu was weak. Ash's Pikachu looked completely exhausted and laid on his head. "Are you okay!" Ash asked. Percy did not look okay at all.
He was heavily panting and most of his shirt was missing. "Yeah I'm great. Never been better." All of the trainers walked up to them with grateful expressions. The boy with the Nidorina stepped forward and deeply bowed. "Thank you all very much for helping us. If we can compensate you please tell us." The rest of them bowed. Ash became confused and asked "Its ok. I'm sure you would've done the same for us. Do any of you have potions?" They showed uncertain faces and went into their pockets. After a few seconds two of them tried to hand two potions to Ash. "Oh no no no. I didn't want your potions, I just wanted to see if you guys could heal your own Pokémon." He explained.
They showed a confused face and shook their heads. "We wouldn't use potions to heal our Pokémon unless it was an emergency. We can only afford healing our Pokémon at the Pokémon center. So we'll have to go back to the city." Ash nodded his head and said "Then let us escort you back to the city." He felt really bad that their actions led to these innocent trainers being attacked by so many Fearow. "You really don't have to. We can handle ourselves." The lead boy tried to reason. "No its really the least we can do. How could we let you go back with no Pokémon." Percy nor Jasper appreciated that they were being volunteered to do something that they didn't want to do.
Although neither of them spoke up. "Thank you for your kindness." They all bowed once again before packing up their camp. Jasper leaned toward Ash. "Cmon man, you can't keep volunteering people for stuff that doesn't involve them." Ash shook his head and said "We can't just let them go. I won't be able to sleep if we don't. I want to lend them money too but I don't have any. Can you please give them some." Ash used puppy eyes in Jasper. Jasper was immune. He turned toward Percy. "Alright I'll give you 5000 pokedollars." Percy caved quickly. He didn't mind giving random people things as he thought that it's better to be nice then not.
Ash accepted the money thankfully and distributed it to the trainers. Then he went and caught the Fearow all over the ground. After waiting a few minutes the trainers were ready to leave. They left and started walking to the city. Fortunately they were only 15 minutes from the city. They walked together and Ash tried to make small talk. "Why are you guys so far outside the city?" Normal trainers would just stick to paths or stay inside the city.
Only leaving to train against weak Pokémon. It was difficult to find a trainer 15 minutes away from the city much less camping outside the city. Although hotel prices can be high that's not a reason to camp so far outside the city walls. When Percy scanned their Pokémon most of them had Dark Green potential and the Nidorina even had light yellow.
In terms of trainers they are definitely better than average. "We have to get strong faster so we can't just play it safe and stick to the city. We were making good progress too until the Fearow attacked at breakfast. We even found a light yellow potential Oddish. We were able to catch it too." Some of the other trainers sent nervous glances toward the boy. "Don't worry I don't plan on stealing it." Ash calmed them. "We can actually give you a light yellow potential Pokémon." Now it was Percys and Jaspers turn to send threatening glances towards Ash. "Could you really?" One of the trainers asked hopefully. "Yeah we caught a light yellow Spearow earlier." Ash responded with a wide smile. "We might not be able to feed it though." One trainer said. "What, why not. I just gave you a couple thousand pokedollars." Ash questioned. "I have to send most of the money I get back to my family. I only became a trainer cause it's the only thing that could make enough money to support my house." Ash frowned at hearing this. He walked in silence for a few moments before asking Jasper and Percy to come to him.
Jasper rolled his eyes at seeing the beckoning. "Hey guys." Ash whispered. "I'm not giving them all my money." Jasper instantly stated. "No no I don't need you to do that. I just need most of it." Jasper immediately protested. "Look I'm thinking we set up like a trainers alliance. We can go around helping struggling trainers and recruiting them." "I don't have enough fucking money to recruit that many trainers." Jasper started getting frustrated. Percy stayed silent and just watched the conversation. "Wait… I'm thinking that we make a clan under the Prodigy name. Eventually once we get these trainers on the right path we can make profit." Even Percy was starting to get doubts. "What the he—". Jasper started.
Ash abruptly turned around and said "We'll give you some money." He walked back to the group of trainers and asked them, "How much money do you guys need to stabilize your households?" He asked. The trainers talked for a while before settling on a number. "If we combine all of our expenses for the month and the loan payments it'll come out at about 50,000 pokedollars. So it'll take 50,000 pokedollars to stabilize our houses for a month." Ash turned to Jasper and Percy with an incredibly hopeful look.
They both looked at him with fear. "No absolutely no way." Jasper said. "Percy. Please I'll do anything." Ash thought of something. "I'll set you and Misty up!" He exclaimed. Percy stopped moving and thought seriously for a second before slowly nodding to himself. He had a little crush on Misty and maybe made it a bit too obvious. "Okay. I'll give you 50,000 but you need to set something up." Percy reasoned. Any person who heard what Percy said would either think he's stupid or think he's rich.
He's neither but he is not very good at talking to people and what he needs, is a mediator. 50,000 isn't too much money for a guy like Percy. If Percy put in enough effort than he could easily make 50,000 pokedolllars in one day. And if he gets lucky he can make several times more than that. Percy wired over the money to Ash and Ash distributed the money to the trainers. Then he gave them a Light Yellow potential Spearow. "Can't see where your reasoning is Percy but I'm praying for you. I don't know if you noticed but Ash's greatest weakness is his kindness.
I imagine this won't be the last time he's gonna help people who have nothing to do with him." Jasper patted Percy on the back. Even though Percy himself knew it was stupid he didn't regret it at all. After all it's only money that he could get again. And to be honest he was curious in Ash's ideas to set up a clan. Ash got the contact information of all the trainers and promised to call them back in a week. Soon enough they arrived at the city and said goodbye to each other. But one of the trainer girls came up to Percy. "Can I get your contact information." She asked Percy blushing. Percy slightly tilted his head in confusion. "Sure." He said simply.
They exchanged contact information and parted ways. Percy had no idea why the girl wanted his contact information but he thought it was the same reason they got Ash's. Then he looked down and saw his outfit. He had completely forgotten that his entire shirt was destroyed. His six pack and well developed body was revealed and out for show. "Oh shit. I thought it was a little drafty." He put a shirt on from his Pokédex and turned to Ash and Jasper.
They were both looking at him with a confused look. "What do you need Ash for if you already can get girls?" Percy became confused. "She just asked for your contact information." Jasper said exasperated. "What do you mean?"
