Chapter 1 - Born, baby dragon in a human home!

Day one,

Ahhh... What is this? It suddenly got cold!

Awch! My... Stomach... It hurts, I feel like I've been stabbed!

Waaa, waaaa! I cried.

Thump, thump, thump... I could feel it beating inside my chest, the warmth circling throughout my body. The pain started to fade as the heat soothed it up.

It's too bright, I slowly tried to open my eyes.

I was greeted by the ugly face of a crying man, a big beard, black eyes and somewhat of a fair skin... He has a nice face but it was stained with tears and snot, his eyes were bloodshot from crying.

He slowly turned me around, his hand trembling as if he was holding fragile of extreme values. As I looked I saw the figure of a fine woman, black hair and eyes, it seems to common. She looked as if sleeping, her face a little bit pale. I could feel a weird sense of nostalgia, love and need. Unable to contain all those emotions I bursted crying, probably seeing that, the man puts me onto her chest.

Thump, thump, thump... Aah... This sound... Is.. What...

I fell asleep the moment I calmed down.

Day two,

I woke up the next day, with a calmer mind and more time at hand, I realized it... I'm a baby.

Remember the man that I called ugly yesterday, he was my dad!

The woman that asleep last night? You guessed it, my mom!

I heard them talking about it this morning, but my birth was quite a hard one. Getting me out took longer than expected and Wan I was finally out I didn't cry, move, or even have a heart beat. My father thought that I was dead so that why he was crying, as soon as my already exhausted mother saw my silent motionless body she passed out.

Luckily I moved, otherwise my parents first born would have been a sad memory.

I didn't realize it yesterday but my father isn't the type of have any knowledge about child birth so who helped in mine? I soon discovered the answer, my grandmothers!

My father's mom and mother's mom, both of them are experienced in those types of situations so they came to help, my father was just there to watch and learn, in case it happened again when there were no help to be found.

Right now I am eating, I never expected fresh milk to taste this good!

As a baby, I seem to have a problem controlling my biological needs which is making me really uncomfortable!

On a good note, I just saw my father get slapped in the back of his neck by my grandma as she was teaching him how to change my diapers.

Hehehe...I laughed a little and as he saw that, my father's attention switched to me instead of the diapers so he got slapped again.

Hehehaha... I laughed more than I should, it seems to make both my parents happy seeing me laugh but my grandmother has a skeptical look on her face as if saying.

'' Can a two days old baby laugh?? ''

Day seven, I'm a week old.

After everything settled down, my family has thrown a feast to celebrate my birthday and a whole lot of people came to visit.

I was left at the bed were people came to greet me, I don't think I like the feeling of not being able to move while having strangers kiss me on the forehead. Through the day I realized something strange, maybe it's a costume here but some of the visitors sneaked coins into my blanket, the coins were tightly wrapped in clothes so I won't eat it probably. Maybe a way to help the new parents or just a genuine gift.

Day 30, a month have passed.

Finally I got hold of myself, not that I can move very well but I can flip over, roll a bit, at least I don't need to stare at the ceiling all day.

As I concentrated I say something strange. There are weird words floating in front of me, I don't recognize them and they feel alien to me but I still could read them!

Floating above my father's head it reads.

Name: Alfred.

Race: Human.

Above my mother it reads.

Name: Laila.

Race: Human.

But above me something was different!

Name: Abel.

Race: Draconic.

...

How come I have a different race than my parents? Hold up, for the record my parents don't treat me as if I can understand them, neither do others, don't that means it's strange that I can think like this now? Is there any relationship between be being Draconic and my early awareness? What is a Draconic anyway?

As I thought that a strange text appeared next to my race.

Race: Draconic (a race that have Dragon's blood running through their veins, usually a mutation cause by one of the family members being a dragon. The mutation might take generations to appear)

So when I think of something it explains it to me, nice!

So to some it up, one of my great great parents was a dragon and now I am a Draconic due to that? But is it the reason for my awareness? It didn't specify.

Focusing more I could see other things.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

It seems that I can see my own abilities. The only noteworthy thing is my elemental resistance, it my save me one day!

Day 60, two months have passed since my birth.

I can appraise other people when I touch them, from that I learned that the highest ability score is 20, that's the humanoid limit.

The average score for adults is 10 in every score but each race has an advantage in an ability. I learned it from my grandpa who always keeps telling me stories.

He was a bard in his youth so he was quite knowledgeable, even so why are you telling this to a two months baby? Guess that's a bard for you.

Humans have a higher Intelligence average than the other races, their average is 12. Elves have the advantage in Wisdom with an average of 12, Dwarves have a Constitution average of 12, Halflings with a 12 in Charisma, Ogres have 12 in Strength, and lastly Harpys with a 12 in Dexterity.

This is just the average, you could still find people with higher or lower stats, this also doesn't change the fact that the limit is still 20 for humanoids.

Even with how much he talk, grandpa never mentioned the Draconic, maybe they are a minority with less knowledge spread about them, who knows?
