Abel rushed towards the wolves as fast as he could, that cow they're attacking is the best milk cow his family has a source for his daily breakfast.
As he closed the distance, two wolves left the cow and turned to him.
The first to attack was a wolf, he jumped aimed at Abel's slender arm. Abel dodged by leaning to the side, getting his arm out of the way, a single downward swing with his stick to wolf's head was all he needed. The wolf skull cracked.
It was the first time he actually killed something, that's got abel on the edge, his body got stiff for a second.
The second wolf took this opportunity without thanks, biting Abel's leg then dragging him on the ground.
As they smelled the blood, more wolves came to the party, to them Abel was a second prey.
Wolves are not equipped to dispatch their victims quickly, as by that instead of going for the killing blow, the wolf started munching on Abel leg.
Abel's grandpa finally reached him and started hitting the wolf with his cane, standing tall and screaming at the same time to try and intimidated the other wolves.
Abel was finally able to think rationally again, as he got used to the pain.
[Body Inferno] Activating his skill, Abel increased his body temperature to his best.
The blood started to boil in the wolf's jaw, along with the constant hitting he was forced to let go!
The moment he backed down, the grandfather kicked him in the guts, Abel followed with a head strike finishing the deed.
They got surrounded by the howling wolves, no way to escape!
Abel and his grandfather stood back to back making sure to never let their backs open.
Wolves are animals they fears the abnormal, fire may force them to give up.
Abel extend his hands in front of him and conjure a fire ball, launching it at where most of wolves are.
To his surprise, the wolves facing his grandfather attacked at the same time, they seem to have released wo is tge weakest of them.
The grandfather slammed one of the wolves down but got easily out numbered.
Abel turned instantly, putting his hand on the wolf biting his grandfather's arm.
"Burn!" [Elemental Magic] scorching the wolf's head.
They started smashing the rest, slowly he started to fill a glimpse of happiness, as if this was his nature.
Swinging left and right, burning to ashs, this is what he like, a good fight.
He was experiencing a dopamine hit from the adrenaline rush, at this young age, It was bad!
Just as the fight seemed to be a waste of energy the wolves retreated immediately.
Abel didn't pursue them, he focused on healing his grandfather.
"Please keep this also a secret!" Saud Abel as he put his hand on his grandfather's wounds.
[Light Magic: Heal] with a small light the wound stopped bleeding and it got partially closed.
Seems like I can't fully heal the wound, may cause I lack practice and the wound is also pretty big.
"Leave some wound on me, it's unrealistic to fight wolves and survive without one!" His grandfather said.
"Thank you, grandpa!" Abel replied.
"No need to thank me, having a triple skill grandson is all I could have dreamed for!" the grandfather said.
After that they returned home directly, the house was in pure chaos.
Abel's mom passed out the moment she saw her bloodied son.
Abel and his grandfather told the family what happened, excluding the usage of healing magic.
Abel awakened his fire Magic as he was attacked by wolves and the augmentation magic was already awakned for months but since Abel is a kid, he thought that everyone have that and didn't think to bring it up before.
Alfred and Laila didn't know how to react to that, their son has talent, two skills at that but, they can't afford his teaching!
The atmosphere got a bit gloomy but so Abel tried to break it by saying.
"I don't care about studying now, all I want to do is play like I always do! Can we let the matter of it until I'm a bit older?" this was to give his parents some time, he knew their financial situation, and won't be pushy.
Abel counted the kills, a total of 8 wolves, three of them are burnt so their hid is unsellable! So 5 in total.
Seeing that the wolves hide was sold easily, and turned into a respectable amount of money, Abel made his first selfish request to his father.
"Dad, can you buy me something?" Abel asked.
"Depends on what you want!" The father replied.
"I want a sword." Abel stated.
The father looked at Abel for a moment before replying.
"of course, sure, I can get you a wooden one to train with!"
"A real one, steel and all!" Abel's father stood up from his chair and looked his son dead in the eyes.
"That's a no go!" He replied.
"Father I insist, me having a sword is a necessity!" Abel stood his ground.
"No is a no, It's too dangerous for you oun a sword at this early age, you're still a kid and I know what best for you!" The father replied.
From the other room they heard the grandfather speaks.
"Alfred, if you don't want to give him what he wants, remember that there's always a noble out there who will happily do it. If you want your son to stand by you later you better give him a real sword and teach him how to use it!"
"But father isn't it too early? And why would he go to a noble, this is his family!" Alfred replied.
"I won't give you a lesson on how to teach your child, but I can't let my child loss his son due to ignorance!"
Alfred agreed to follow his father advice, but with the condition of Abel having to train with a wooden sword for at least a month before he would get him a real one!
After a month, Abel finally laid his hands on a real weapon.
With a happy face full of anticipation, Abel's new mission determined, hunt as much as possible to get money for his school.
Now I'm 6, I will be have to join school at 12 years old. I have only 6 years to grind the money!
