Chapter 6 - Adventuring family start!

Abel's father swung the sword left and right getting a feel for it, his strength and speed increased!

Abel though as he watches his father, I might have to end this training quickly!

"Father, you don't have much MP so don't push yourself too hard!" Abel stated.

As he heard that his father did a few more swings and stopped, putting the sword down, he leaned on the tree and looked at his son.

"You know, even though you told me you're a triple crown I still feel that you're hiding something from me!" He asked.

Abel looks at his father.

It's bad to reveal my skills now but it is also bad to hide them from my parents, I might have to compromise.

" I won't say you're wrong! But I think it's best to keep to myself! "Abel replied.

His father wore a sad face as he stood up.

" Well, I can't help it! Tell me when you think it best I won't pursue it! "

After that, they both head back, slowly walking down the ever-green field.

" By the way, there is something that I think you might want to know!" His father stated.

"What is it?" Abel replied.

His father scratched his beard as he thought of a nice way to say what he want.

"You know how your grandfather has a long tongue?" He asked.

"I know, he is a bard after all!" Abel replied.

"You know he's been telling stories about you in the local tavern?"

"Yeah, I know that."

"Well, as people heard that their expectations for you were through the roof, you bringing wolves corpses was a confirmation to them!"

"Then what do you mean? It's not like their opinions affect me right?" Abel said.

"They wanted to take the chance and you, before you get older!"

"I don't like where this is going!"

"I and your mom have been receiving constant engagement requests, a lot of villagers want to engage their daughters to you!"

Abel started sweating, he neither can nor wants to deal with this!

"This can't be right!" Abel said.

"I don't think the royal capital wrote a decree about it but most people frown on marriage under at least 16 years, which is the age when people are considered an adult and it's also the age where the country will call men to the military service!" The father stated.

" Then we can just refuse them!" Abel stated.

"It's not that easy, they want engagement, not marriage! Which can be held years before marriage!"

Abel thought for a moment,

"Tell them that am already engaged! This way they can give up!"

"I did try that, and they responded they even asked to meet your fiancee and ask her personally"

They are desperate, what the hell are they expecting from a kid?

"Then we have to put it bluntly, just tell them no directly!" Abel stated.

"Easier said than done!" The father replied.

They slowly returned home to discuss it further with his mom present.

...

That night the family had a meeting, not about the engagement but about what they will do in the future.

Abel wants to move to the city, living in a village like this is putting them in a hard spot as the jobs that can earn hefty money are scarce.

Abel suggested that his mother will act as the mage, father as the warrior and he is a support, this way they can pass as an adventuring party! Slowly going through the first they will hunt monsters for money until they reach a big city with an adventuring guild.

His mother opposed saying that even if she has a fire skill, she can't fight with it nor does she have knowledge about magic.

His father on the other hand was excited to try playing with Agmuntaion magic.

Abel suggested that he will teach his mother how to use her fire skill, she didn't believe him. He might be talented but he is still 5 years old, where is he getting his knowledge?

The moment Abel demonstrated his fire control his mother accepted, he will start teaching her how to use her skill.

His father noticed something off about his son as he saw him writing.

"Hold up when did you learn to do that?" He asked.

Abel thought for a moment before answering as he didn't want to say I was born able to do it!

"Learned it from grandpa, I always watched him and grandma write!"

His grandparent used to be travelers so it's normal for them to have learned how to read and write to get by.

From that day the training start for the three of them, Abe's father quickly put on muscles, as if was a natural fight that was unlucky to not receive a skill.

His mother on the other hand had trouble learning fire magic as she found it cruel to burn living things to death, It took a considerable about to get her to actually kill a monster with fire magic.

Abel realized that his parents might have more talent than he thought, just circumstance was against them!

He didn't stop his training and kept improving, finding more about him being draconic. Monster doesn't seem to wander around their farm much now as he was getting older, usually only weaker monsters like slimes and young wolves, the others seem to keep their distance.

Looking through his skill he found something interesting! A skill named Dragon Mark!

[Dragon Mark] A dragon marks his territory like all creature does, by using urine! scent–marking is called, the dragon uses it at an early age before he can develop his Aura!

So he was marking the entire place without knowing, which make it more dangerous if what if someone came looking for the dragon?

He decided to turn the skill off, for the time being, he has to focus on preparing for money hunting in the forest!
