"How do you know that I've read the book." asked Ophelia.
"You don't know what moon night is but when Linnaeus told you that it was the shape shifting night, you didn't look surprised." explained Nicklaus.
"I see." she nodded.
"Did you miss me?" asked Nicklaus
"Do we know each other?" responded Ophelia
"But I'm your husband." he sounded indignant.
"..." looking up, she discovered that the man's face was too close to hers, he was looking at her. His face solemn as if the whole world owed him a large sum. He looked pitiful. She quickly averted her eyes and jumped down from his arms. Her face was so red, just like tomatoes.
With her back facing him, she said, "Don't you have much work to do?"
She waited for along time but no one responded, so she turned around to look. Nicklaus was right behind her. He was closing in on her. She walked backwards carefully, hoping to widen the distance between them but he kept coming. She kept her eyes on him, his exquisite face invading more than her eyes.
BAM!
Her back slammed against the wall, yet he didn't stop. He kept coming and with every step he took, her heart shook with no rhythm beating against her weak chest as if trying to force its way out. The closer he came the more she felt a force pulling her heart. She didn't understand this strange occurrence, after all, it had never happened before. His face enlarged in her eyes. He had bent his head. He was looking at her. One of his hands was holding her chin, raising her head, the other was above her head, supporting his body.
"I have much work to do, little bunny. We have not yet consummated the marriage. Don't you think we should get started? humm?" His voice was so compelling that she didn't even realise the nonsense he was spouting. She felt a push within her and she was in his arms. Her racing heart stopped and then bum! It started beating find again. Ophelia felt like something was different because for the first time in her life she felt like she was... home.
Home!
She came to. She realised that she was still in Nicklaus's arms and her lips were...wet. She forceful pushed Nicklaus and he didn't resist. She touched her lips, they were moist.
"Shameless!" She bellowed. Her eyes dimmed in anger. 'How dare he kiss me' She thought. She clenched her fists, huffing. She wanted to strangle the shameless bastard but she knew very well that she couldn't overpower him, she could only continue huffing.
Nicklaus looked at his wife huffing and puffing. He tried to imagine a small bunny puffing fire from its lungs, it's lips red and plum, shinning with wetness. The image was beautiful. He likes it. He went on to study her dimmed, narrowed eyes. The silver orbs were slightly covered but they couldn't hide the undaunted sparkles. She was too beautiful. He wanted to kiss her more but restrained himself. Instead, he walked back to the bed and sat down. He knew his limits. Chloe had told him to take it slow, he would try to.
"Did you feel it, Ophelia?" He asked, scrutinizing her face. He didn't want to miss any expression but all he saw was confusion. 'Did she not understand the question?', he thought.
"That time when I held you close to my chest, did you feel something?" he tried to rephrase the question hoping to find an answer. Ever since he became an adult, apart from all the teachings and trainings on been a king, his father had also taught him about coupling. He had said that some people would be lucky to find their true mates and when they did, they would feel like they just found home when they kiss or coupulated. He had found the whole thing ridiculous. Who finds home in a kiss? He had laughed it off in his head.He couldn't laugh out loud or his father would have punished him. His father had further admonished him to never let his mate go when he found her. Eventhough, the Seer, had told him she was the one, he had still not taken it seriously. He had decided to marry Ophelia only because, she made him feel like a man, but now he finally realised what a mate meant.
The angry Ophelia, became even more angry at the nonsense the man before her was spouting, besides been angry she was also weary. She didn't know what trick the shameless bastard wanted to pull on her after stealing a kiss from her.
BEEP BEEP
Nicklaus picked up his phone and answered a call. She could hear a deep voice from the phone but didn't hear what the other said. Nicklaus just replied with an "hmm" before hanging up. He got up to leave.
"Although, we the werewolves have evolved, there are still some who cannot control themselves. Stay indoor and lock the door. The lock is very safe. Unless you let them, no one can force the door open. Just do your thing, okay." With that said, he was off.
Since the 'intruder' had left, have went to lock her door again. She took a shower and went to bed. She was soon asleep.
Behind the door, Nicklaus listened to his wife's movements. When he was sure that she was asleep, he walked away.

"You must be new here. Are you alone?"
The animal: ....
Looking carefully around, she concluded that the animal was indeed alone, then she said,
"Were you abandoned?"
"...."
"Strange, you look strange. I've never seen an animal like you before"
"grwwwwl"
"oh! you are hurt. Let's threat your wounds" She moved to touch the animal but just as she was about to reach it, she withdrew her hand thinking that the animal might be scared.
"I want to threat your wounds so I'll need to carry you. Are you okay with it?"
"grwwwwl"
"Okay, then I'll carry you now" she carried it and placed it on her lap. She then pulled a small pouch out of her dress brought out some metal bottles, cleaned and dressed the wounds. The animal looked comical after bandages had been plastered on different parts of it's body it looked like a pet wearing rags. By the time she was done. The animal had fallen asleep. She decided to take the little animal to her play house under a tree and hide it there. She would check on it everyday giving it food and water until one day she came one day and it was gone.
She had searched for it and gave up after a few days. She was saddened about the animal and began to cry.... Amidst her tears, she was the silhouette of the animal changing form until it became a huge werewolf with bright red eyes. It walked out of the dark shadows towards her. She stood there looking at the werewolf coming walking towards her, she didn't feel fear. Instead, she was happy to see her pet again, eventhough he was a werewolf, she didn't mind as long as he was back home. She ran into his arms and hugged him.
Ophelia jolted out of bed. It was the same dream again. The dream was part of her sleep and she was already used to it but today, the dream was different, more detailed. She felt unsettled.
"hoooooooooowl" It was the howl of a werewolf. She looked through the window, curious about the 'moon night' of the werewolves.
What Ophelia saw was quite different from what she had expected. She had assumed that she would see different burly figures but what she saw was many animals. The animals looked quite familiar, like the one.... the one... in Alkal that night! Something snapped in Ophelia. She was shocked. Her head was spinning with ideas, she wanted to deny it but it was true.
"Wolves" she whispered.
Among the wolves, one stood out. It had a particularly penetrating red eyes. The look in that eyes was one Ophelia was very familiar with. It was her wolf, the one she her nurtured back to health.
Why was it here?
