"Awww, delicious!" That was the first thing that came out of Collette once she finished with the entire contents of the jar without leaving a single drop.
"You see?" And Marian seemed totally satisfied with it.
"Collette, are you feeling okay?"
"Huh? Of course, why don't you...?"
"Tum!" And for the simple reason why Collette had been silent at that moment and from that loud crash, it was because she had fallen to the ground like a leaf in autumn.
"Collette, are you okay?!" Blake, though not very surprised, had to make sure she was okay.
"š¤š¤š¤..."
'Well... I'll guess so.' "What did you give her, Marian?" Leaving his concern behind at that moment, Blake shifted his attention to the confused Marian.
"I don't get it..."
"What don't you understand?"
"That was an energizer, why did she fall asleep?"
'Was she really the one who treated me? It's a miracle I'm still alive.' After hearing the complaints coming out of Marian about why her medicine failed again, Blake nuptial held Collette in his arms and left her on the bed where he had been previously while she let out small snores, and once that he made sure she was comfortable, he turned and looked at Marian with a serious look.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Sigh... Marian, please apologize to Collette once she wakes up."
"But..." She was about to say something, but it was Blake's turn not to let her finish.
"It is good that your dream is to be the best doctor of all time, but that is not why you should fool your friends in that way, what would have happened if the medicine had a more serious effect?"
"I-I would have known what to do... I'm a great witch, nothing is impossible for me."
"But you said it yourself, there are things that magic cannot heal. I'm not telling you to forget your dream or something, but you should think if what you're doing is the right thing to do." He didn't really know why, but Blake felt those words were the best he could say. From the few times he has seen Marian, he knew that she did not do things with bad intentions or to harm others, but prevention is always better than cure.
After saying that, Blake just patted Marian on the head, hoping that she had heard what he said and that she would come out with one of her smiles to go back to her strange experiments... But happened just the opposite.
"Marian?"
"I... Sob... I'm sorry..." And without even letting Blake ask the reason for her condition, Marian ran out of the pharmacy at top speed. The silence after that was present in the room where one could only see a puzzled Blake with a blank look until a sigh was heard at the door.
"Sigh... I didn't expect you to do that, boy."
"Marjorie, I..."
"Say no more, nothing you said was wrong."
"I'll go find her right now."
"Don't worry, she'll be fine, she just needs to think a bit... Even though I've told her the same thing over and over again, it's the first time I've seen her react that way."
"Sorry..."
"Hehe, don't apologize, she would do her good to accept her own mistakes... On the other hand, what do you think you do stand up?"
"Huh? Well... I think I feel better, haha..." And as a response to his comment, Blake felt how he was hit on the head with the broom that Marjorie was carrying at that moment.
"Ouch!"
"Hmph! feeling better does not mean that you are cured, you still have to rest... Although from what I see, I do not think you can do it here." She said that while pointing at the sleepy Collette, and Blake was giggling because of that.
"Haha, that seems... Well, the best thing would be if I go home, right? I think I can get there without problems, and if for some reason I feel any pain, I'll just use a little healing magic." And again, he received another blow to the head.
"Silly boy, you can't depend on magic for everything! You may heal physical wounds, but that will only make you mentally fatigued, did you also forget the basics of magic?
"Actually... Since I lost my memory, I don't remember anything about magic, the little I know is from Shara's explanation and a little from Shino." And as if he had just said the most ridiculous thing in the world, Marjorie had a puzzled expression and saw Blake as if he was joking.
"What are you talking about, boy? Magic is common sense, your memory loss doesn't seem to make you forget those things, did you forget how to breathe, walk or read?"
"No... Actually everything else I remember and it does not seem strange to me removing one thing or another, but seriously, I forgot everything related to magic." That was true, Blake didn't find things like strange the language, basic things, and strangely the monsters, but on the other hand, he did not remember things, besides who he was and where he came from, such as magic, runic abilities, or the different races that exist in the world.
Marjorie stared at him for a long time trying to figure out if he was telling the truth or if he was just trying to deceive her, but seeing Blake's confused face, she knew he was serious.
"It seems you are telling the truth."
"For what reason would I lie?"
"This is very strange if you let me say it, I have not seen many cases of amnesia, but I can say that yours must be unique."
"Hmm... Thank you?" He didn't know how to really feel about that comment, but he didn't have time to think much about it since Marjorie kept getting his attention.
"Okay, since you say you feel perfectly healthy enough to fight a dragon with bare hands."
'I never said that...'
"There was another thing that makes me very curious about you."
"What is it?"
"I'm talking about your talent with magic, of course." And right after hearing that, Blake unconsciously took a defensive position as a peculiar smile appeared on Marjorie at the young man's reaction to her.
