I woke up to the sun creeping up. I got up washed my face and started my routine. Curling my locks tying a ribbon through my hair. Slipping on a red lace dress. Latching the strap on my heels. Lastly adding the red lipstick. I run my fingers down my body adjusting my dress in the mirror. With one last sigh, I head downstairs.
I look around and I hear "In the kitchen!" I grabbed the smoothie on the counter.
As I start to sip on it, I glanced at Jax. "So Grace said she's going to make my life a living hell."
This gave Jackson a chuckle. "Oh no! Whatever will you do!" he said still chuckling.
Rolling my eyes I said, "sarcasm is my thing!" I hugged Jax and walked out the door.
That followed by "Be safe, Indie!" he shouted from the kitchen
I had a bit of shock as I stepped out the door to notice Dom standing inches from my door. "Dom!" I yelped.
He smiled. "I was going to knock but you already were coming out," he said while eyeing my body.
I softened my voice and looked at him, "What are you doing here?"
His grin grew as if I already knew the answer. "Walking you to school silly!"
During the walk, we talked about everything. I even worked into asking about Grace. A puzzled look crossed his face but I looked at him and reassured him that I asked because I overheard some rumor that they were together. And just like that the lie that came from my lips poured slowly into his ears. His softened dazed was the key to knowing it was working. Just as he was about to answer, Grace appeared.
A small thin blonde blue-eyed girl came running up tossing her arms around him. I used this time to trail her body. I noticed how her hair isn't blonde in the light but strawberry blonde. I noticed she had bright blue eyes and I noticed she had thin lips that had been overdrawn to make them look bigger. She noticed me and then I looked into her eyes and she started to be drawn in.
I extended my hand out, "Hi! I'm Indiana!" All that anger went away with the sound of my voice.
She seemed unable to talk. That's when Dom made the introduction.
"So, nice to meet you," I said.
All she could do was nod at me.
I looked at Dom and said "Thank you for walking me. I'll see you later." With a smile, I waved both Dom and Grace off.
After a quick stop at my locker, off to class, I went. This time some guy with dark spiked hair accompanied me. He introduced himself. Turns out he was that tool, Alex. I glared at him that's nice. I stepped into my class and sat at my normal seat.
Alex decided today was the day he was going to find a new seat closer to me.
"So your name is Indiana like the state right?" He questioned all cocky as if trying to get my undivided attention.
I rolled my eyes, as I answered softly "Yes but right now I'm trying to learn. Maybe if you learn anything today, you'll be rewarded." I said cooly and calmly.
His face said it all, I was drawing him in like a hungry fish. I was not one of the girls who would be so honored to get his attention, which he found odd and that excited him. That class all I could feel was his eyes on me. Watching every move I made. That's when I moved slowly as I adjusted in my seat crossing my legs. Alex's eyes seemed entranced by my movements. I used this time to scribble down notes and take in the pleasure the tool was like putty. I even enjoyed the view from the corner of my eye when I let the pen rest on my lips. In fact, I saw the drool drip from his mouth to his desk.
Class was over, Dom came to find me. I smiled but noticed Alex was right behind me. I thought I felt his fingertips touch my curls. Dom seemed not pleased with Alex standing close to me. I walked to my locker and placed my stuff in. Both stared at me unable to talk.
I glanced between the two and said "Well, I'm hungry so I'm off to lunch."
I noticed Dom's friends weren't here today. I will have to work on getting information out of Dom about them. After I filled my tray I went to the closes empty table. Soon my tabled filled with Dom on one side Alex on the other. Grace came to sit with us. This time she was able to talk. Lunch went peacefully. Well until Alex grabbed my tray at the same time as Dom.
"Um gentlemen, I can take my own tray up, if thats okay with you." I said grabbing the tray and walking to put it up.
After Lunch, classes even seemed to go faster. After school, I walked to my locker to find not surprisingly Dom there. He asked if he could walk me. I nodded. I was finally able to ask him questions.
"So where are your friends?" I asked friendly.
Dom seemed to be confused by the question.
I clarified for him "The friends with the black Jeep?"
The confusion slowly drained off his face. "You mean Trey?"
I looked deep into his eyes as he was drinking me in.
"Oh, that's his name? And who are the others?" I said.
Trey must have been the one with the dark hair. He was built bigger than the others and seemed to run the show.
"Drew, Steve, and Chuck." Dom followed up.
I touched the side of his face softly which caused him to breathe heavily.
"So do you know where they were today?" I asked in that soft sweet voice.
"No, they usually miss every few weeks," he said almost in a daze.
Finally, as we make it to my house. I noticed the color change in Dom's face.
"Hey, are you okay?" I questioned as I walked closer to him standing with inches between us.
At a mere whisper, I told him goodnight and thanked him for the walk home. I noticed how I made his knees shake. Then just like the day before I kissed his cheek leaving nothing but two red lip marks. He still seemed lost for words as I made my way in.
"Are you trying to kill that boy?" Jax was standing at the door again.
I huffed at him and said "I think he's broken. Although I did get some information on the jeep boys."
