The drive to school wasn't too far and I could walk home if needed. I walk out of the office with Jackson, he hugs me and gives me the usual "be safe" speech. I think Jackson was just making sure that he plays his role of a strong father figure. Which was further from what he was. I never argued, just nodded and adjusted my dress. As I walked away I observed as I normally do. Although it sure seems I was being observed.
….Fish in fishbowl….
I walked to the assigned locker and I pulled the helpless act, men love so much. Pretending to fiddle with my locker I was able to draw in a cute blonde boy to help me.
I thanked him, "Oh my goodness, thank you so much!" I said as I watched his features as my voice reached his ears. I always enjoyed watching that. As if my voice poured over him and I left him craving for more.
I noticed the group of boys he was with were drawn to me too but mostly by the draw of my skin. In the file, these boys were the ones I needed to get drawn in and observe. As I closed my locker and started to walk to class. I knew where I was. I have read the map of school a dozen times, I could tell you where everything was including the fire exits. I couldn't help but smile. Right before I reached my class, I twisted around. Those same boys all stopped before me.
"I'm sorry but I think I'm a bit lost. Can one of you help me find this class," I fluttered my lashes as I said and gave a small smile as the words drifted like honey to their ears.
Just as the first boy, the rest were craving more. The cute blonde boy offered his help first. I thanked them all and waved slowly as we walked away. He grabbed my books, I slipped my arm into his. I notice the venom of hate these boys had for my so-called hero.
When we reached my class I gave him that small smile and said thank you, "Oh, goodness, thank you again! What would I do without you?"
I gave him the chance to say his name. "No problem, I'm Dom by the way," he said with a charming smile.
I smiled and walked into my class, I knew he was waiting for me, waiting for me to say more to him but he will have to wait.
I heard him shout over the bell "Aren't you going to tell me yours?" he begged.
I giggled and waved him goodbye. I could have just told him my name but what fun would that be, and if I have to be here I must have some fun.
I walked to the closes desk to the door. Sliding into my seat, again I noticed the eyes on me. I crossed my legs one over the other and glanced around. I noticed two of those troubled boys were in my class. The ones that were hanging with Dom, that is the blonde boy's name. I used my hand mirror to not only adjust my red lipstick but to watch those eyes without being noticed but I noticed them.
Classes went fast here. By the end of the day, that magnetic draw drifted out. I was attracting all sorts of attention just like I wanted. To draw attention, whether good or bad attention is what I was looking for. I walked to my locker to find Dom laying up against it. He smiled and I noticed this smile was the one who girls melted for. I saw two of the girls who enjoyed this smile standing a few lockers down just staring at him. I smiled softly as I fluttered my lashes again. Since he wanted to draw me in I did about the same. I watched him check up and down my body even more while I ran my fingers across my skin to my necklace. As I touched the chain on my neck, I watched him drool as the locket came spilling out of my top. I bit my lip as he noticed I was looking at him.
"Can I get into my locker, Dom?" I said as his eyes dazed over.
"Huh? Oh, yes I thought you may need my help?" he said with another smile.
I giggled and walked past him to my locker and opened it with no help.
" I guess I had a good teacher this morning?" I said as I gave him that smile as I finished putting my stuff away.
He took a deep breath and with a brisk of ego, he was able to question my name, "Please tell me your name?" he begged.
I pushed my lips together and said "Well I guess you deserve that. My name is Indiana." I frowned a bit, "my father was a huge Harrison Ford fan."
He smiled and just like that he thought I was willing to melt. "So, Indiana? Are you able to get home on your own or could I walk you?" he almost pleaded.
I smiled as I closed my locker. I turned towards him and said "Sure. I live a few blocks away, let me call my brother and tell him I don't need a ride." I said.
