Chapter 20 - Journal

Entry number 1:

I found this book in the miscellaneous section of the shop, and decided that it would be worthwhile to have something to keep track of my discoveries and other things, so here we go.

Stats and leveling up.

It seems to me that even though leveling up offers stat points, you can still increase your stats by training, and also that leveling up increases your power marginally, I would not have noticed it if I had not been so clear about my own strength, which makes me wonder, can you level up by training?

For now, it feels like STR determines strength, and I will need to workout to increase it. DEX determines my dexterity and quick hand movements, maybe by doing stuff that requires fast reactions will increase it. DEF is most likely defense, I don't exactly know how to increase it, maybe by punching hard surfaces or taking damage.

CON likely stands for constitution, and I have no idea on how to increase it. AGI is speed, sprinting and exercising my legs should be enough to increase that stat. INT is my mana amount, I think it will increase if I try to gather more mana than I can, stretch the container. About WIS, I don't really know, but my current guess is that it is tied to knowledge and mental strength, knowledge being why it is so high for me. I will need to to investigate it deeper if I want to know what each specifically stands for.

Regeneration.

My HP regen is slow, far too slow. It does not regenerate when I am in combat, and even outside of combat, only recovers 1 HP every 5 seconds. Right now, my armor is good, but I will need to find a way to increase my recovery rate. 10 WIS seems to mean 1 MP regen per second, because i have observed that my MP regen is much faster, 7 MP per 2 seconds, or 3.5 MP every 1, it's quite good, no complaints.

Crafter.

The Crafter ability is strange, it seems to be magic, but requires no mana whatsoever, and even continuous use does not tire me out. My men, however, have difficulty trying to copy it, when I asked, they said something along the lines of their eyes being 'not good enough' and that it would take a long time to learn it, similar to the situation with my eye powers, which makes me wonder if this ability is some sort of different force, like 'Battle aura', maybe different types of materials require different amounts of this unknown force. If that's the case, then maybe some specific materials will accelerate the learning process. For now, I will try to level it up and get it to the advanced level, maybe then it will be easier for me to understand more about it.

Dungeon lore.

There is something about the Rock I obtained from the dungeon, it has carvings on it that seem to be joined with others to form a bigger, something. While I'm on the topic, there were some places that had a lot of damage on them, as if something big happened over there. There's also that beast that does not have a name, or maybe it does and I just don't know it yet, perhaps it will show up once I complete the dungeon at it's max power.

Yes, max power, it feels like the boss was only level 25 because my level was too low, and along with the fact that there were only three enemies, makes it feel strange. So my guess is that no matter what level you are, as long as you are within the minimum, you will have a chance to clear, or 'Overcome' the dungeon. Maybe there's a story behind it. Further investigation is required.

Training.

I need to come up with a training routine for both me, and my men. Right now, I'm only doing basic training, but I can use my Crafter ability to make equipment to improve it. Along with that, I can also make different types of exercises and courses to train in various types of combat and situations. I also need to come up with team strategies and formations for maximum efficiency. Maybe upgrading the Training hall will help with all this.

The wolves.

One of the things that are worrying me is about the wolves, they are pack animals, but I've only seen them in small groups, hunting parties, maybe? But that would mean that they have a den somewhere, and if they have a den, then there will be both wolves, and their cubs. Wonder if I can tame them? If that is possible, then our combat power would soar, especially if I can upgrade or evolve them in some way. Perhaps a certain food or item.

Players.

So far, I have not come into contact with any other 'Players' nearby, but if the system is correct, then there should be some nearby, I will have to be cautious, I do not know if they will be friendly or not. If they are friendly, I will not mind having a mutual agreement for the good of both parties.

However, if they attack purposely, without any provocation, or cause a casualty, I will not tolerate it. I will exact revenge ten-fold. If they harm my men, I will kill theirs. And if they kill my men, I will destroy their castle.

Entry end.

PS: Find a way to make more warehouses.
