"I knew I forgot something."
Verum was looking at the message he received before another message appeared.

"Damn, Permanently increased stats? Then what about the others?"
[Path of the Trickster has been upgraded tp level 1!]
[+2 to INT and DEX, +1 to AGI per level up]
After leveling up 2 of them, Verum paused. He realized that he could upgrade them more than just once, so now he was in a dilemma.
'Level up Warrior to 2 or Supporter to 1?' He sat down and started to think about it. After a while he decided to upgrade Supporter. 'I need to prepare for the beast tide, and I don't know when I will get the chance to upgrade again.'
[Path of the Supporter has been upgraded to level 1!]
[+10% resistance to all elements, +20% effectiveness of magic-related spells]
'Magic-related? Does that mean that there are other kinds of spells?' Verum's face frowned. 'Need to research, there's too much to research, maybe I can make a research lab?' Suddenly, his stomach grumbled, and he realized that he had not eaten since morning, and it was already night. Deciding to test his new powers later, he went to look for some food, while browsing the shop for any new items.
*****
The next morning, in the training hall.
A deep breath sounded, and Verum, who was sweating profusely, had just finished his exercises, and was now sitting in a lotus pose while trying to regulate his breathing. After some time, about ten minutes, he go up and went to the side where his captain was training with his men.
Seeing him approach, they stopped, performed a fist-palm salute, and waited for him to speak. "Jason, are you busy right now?" He asked, and got an immediate answer. "Not at all, sir!" "Good, I want to have a spar with you, come to the ring." Saying this, he turned around and started walking towards the sparring ring, while Jason followed.
Once in position, Jason took a stance, but was surprised when Verum spoke again. "This time, except for Black fang, all other spells and skills are allowed, also try to copy anything you don't know with great concentration, got it? Alright, let's begin." With these words, the fight began.
Verum was the first to move, with Jason still thinking about how to fight without seriously injuring him, because he thought that now that he had become stronger, and that Verum was now weaker than him. He did not know that Verum had higher WIS, DEX, and AGI, not to mention that their CON stats were the same now.
Verum attacked with a left straight towards the head, which Jason quickly dodged by leaning his head, and was about to counter-attack when he got kneed in the stomach, causing him to momentarily lose balance, before quickly reacting with a punch.
As the fight continued, it became increasingly obvious to Jason, who was barely managing to block and dodge, that even though he got promoted to captain and had his stats increase, his summoner was still faster and more experienced than him, so he decided to start using magic.
He cast a flamethrower, which made Verum throw up a Cold shield, Jason followed up with a Rock throw, then quickly shadow flashed behind Verum in hopes of catching him off-guard, and succeeded. He managed to hit him with an Iron fist enhanced by Heavy blow, sending Verum rolling forwards.
Jason wanted to take this opportunity to end the fight, but suddenly found that he couldn't move, there was some sort of pressure that was locking him in place, and it felt strong. The feeling was coming from Verum, who got back up to his feet and turned around, his eyes now glowing purple.
[Battle Aura] [Lv:1]
[An ancient force that was used by the warriors of old to destroy mountains with a wave of their hands. At this level, it can only put pressure on opponents and slightly enhance as well as optimize your body]
Jason was trying to copy this weird power, however it was too complex, and he could not make any progress at all. He realized that Verum was now in front of him, and quickly kicked out, however, that backfired.
Verum grabbed his leg, and lifted him up using his shoulder before smashing him down on the stone floor.
As Jason lay on the ground, trying to get his breath back, Verum looked to be satisfied with his new power, and a smile spread across his face. He looked back at his captain, still on the ground and spoke.
"Did you learn it?" Jason looked confused before realizing what he was asking. "No, (Breath) It was too-breath complicated." He took a deep breath before continuing. "I feel like it would take at least ten hours of constant observation, with complete concentration, to be able to even feel it."
Hearing his words, Verum just nodded, before he walked out the door, thinking about something.
'If they can learn these powers, would the stat increases apply to them as well?' He walked to the 'Library' and now, there were four books, with the new additions being the 'Guidebook to dungeons', and one on the table that did not have any thing written on the cover.
It was this book that Verum opened, and picked up a pen beside it, before starting to write.
