"...My poor ears, System can you reduce the volume of the notifications?"
[Notification volume reduced by 50%]
"Much better. Still I thought I had more time before they came. Beast tide huh? This will be interesting."
A thoughtful look had spread across Verum's face as he thought about the upcoming challenge.
Then a thought struck him, "System how many players are there?"
[13,421,070 Players]
"How big is this planet?"
He exclaimed, trying to calculate the amount of space needed to even fit that many players, along with the native civilizations, inhabitable spaces, and ocean space.
[This planet is approximately 13 times bigger then you previous home planet]
...
A sense of foreboding crept up his spine as he asked, "How much of that is ocean?"
[Around 71%]
...
"There's players everywhere aren't they?"
[The average rate is 1 player per 19.3 sq km]
"Ah, and here I was thinking that the start would be peaceful."
He sighed and shook his head, then turned to his waiting troops.
"Anyway, back to what we were doing, I want to test your combat skills, head over to the ring, mages you are dismissed."
The mages nodded and went out while the warriors headed towards the ring.
"I should probably check my status first"
"Status!"

"Ooh, nice."
Saying this he headed towards the ring and his waiting warriors.
Once inside the ring he stood in the middle. "Come at me, I will judge your combat ability, no swords."
"Yes, sir!'
One by one they went at him, but he defeated each of them within seconds with a sidestep, a kick, or a few quick punches.
"Your posture is wrong, you have no follow-up attacks, you do not know how to counter-attack, nor how to dodge properly, and none of you know how to use, your, FEET! That is the most important part of combat! And you can't utilize it at all!"
The warriors stood with their heads down, ashamed of their performance.
"Did any of you even use your learning ability?"
In response, they lowered their heads even further.
"Haaa, just remember to use it in every fight alright?"
The warriors meekly nodded their heads.
"Alright, Activate your eyes and looks here, I'm going to demonstrate now."
"First, you take this stance..."
And so, Verum began training his Warriors in the way of martial arts along with their swords.
*****
One Hour Later.
[Thirst 5/10]
"Huh? A thirst bar?"
Verum, who had been training his soldiers on how to stab properly was interrupted by a system notification.
"I am feeling quite thirsty, Sigh, you guys continue training, I'm going to out for a bit."
Verum headed to well next to the warehouse, there was a bucket and a pulley system, along with a small stone bowl.
As he drew the water he got a notification.
[Well water: 100%]
"There's a limit? Guess I'll have to look for water supplies too."
"Wait, we are going to need food as well, are we not? We will have to hunt, and maybe farm as well."
He then opened the warehouse, which was much bigger on the inside, than on the outside.
"Space manipulation? Interesting."
There were also some logs kept inside, as well as a few bows, with quivers filled with arrows.
[Warehouse: 3/10 slots occupied]
[Slot 1: 200/500 wood]
[Slot 2: 10/1000 Bow and quiver sets]
[Slot 3: 200/500 stone]
"So a slot for each type of item, that might be troublesome."
"The bows are a nice surprise though, with these I can teach them how to hunt."
"Looks like were going hunting. but with bows instead of guns."
"it will be a new experience."
Saying this he went to the training hall and sent some of them to get the bows.
"Okay, does anyone of you know how to use a bow? Raise your hand if you do."
As he looked only 2 hands went up.
"Okay, you, tell me your name."
He pointed towards a female warrior who was standing on the left.
"Yes, sir, my name is Isabelle."
"Good, tell me, how do you use a bow?"
"Sir, first you hold the bow in your non dominant hand, than you use your dominant hand to take an arrow, nock it, pull the string and let go to fire."
"Alright, demonstrate."
The female named Isabelle took a bow and a quiver and stood twenty meters from the dummies.
"Observe what she's doing." Verum commanded the rest of them. "And no need to be so formal all of the time. In front of outsiders, okay, but when were in the castle, no threat, just relax the formalities and just call me Sir instead of Lord. Understood?"
"Yes sir!"
"Alright, Isabelle, continue."
Isabelle had paused to listen to Verum.
She held the bow in front, pulled, took a deep breath, and fired, hitting a dummy on the right side of it's chest.
"Not bad, but that won't be a fatal blow, with a bow, try to hit either the heart, neck, or foot to incapacitate enemies."
"Remember to always measure the distance between you and your target, also gauge the wind direction and force. Grab those dummies and bows, we are going outside."
As they went out, Verum decided to check his status.
