As Gwen was about to close her eyes to sleep tonight, she recalled the events in the dining room. At first lunch, everything went well, but at dinner, Gwen found herself in the presence of other workers.
Gwen had time to stare at them, but Cecil quickly forbade her to stare too long.
"You mustn't look at them if you want to live a quiet life here," Cecil said during the meal.
Gwen immediately turned to Cecil whispering, "Why? " she asked in whispers.
"They're annoying if you want to know," Cecil said as much.
Gwen's forehead was frowning but then nodded softly, signaling that she understood what Cecil was saying.
After dinner, Cecil had a chance to explain who they were to her. If possible, Gwen would have to avoid them and stay out of their way.
"Ah, I didn't know there was such a nuisance here like my half-sister..." Gwen muttered softly as she lay in bed.
Cecil had to tell her, so she had to be careful when she met them. Cecil says they like to threaten and abuse new workers.
"Especially if you're beautiful! " Cecil said.
Remembering that speech disgraced Gwen and instantly covered her face with her palms.
"Am I pretty? " she asked herself quietly.
Quickly she shook her head, "No, Cecil might just humor me and give me a little praise. My sister just said I was the ugliest woman she'd ever seen. And Mom said the same thing, " Gwen softly.
Because of this, Gwen recalled the mistreatment she received from her older half-sister and stepmother. They said so many bad things to her that they did not even hesitate to call down evil upon her. And their physical abuse too.
Gwen breathed heavily.
"But I am grateful that I was finally able to get out of there when I was finally sold! "Gwen blurted out as she restrained her emotions.
For a moment she looked out the window, even forgetting to close her window so that she could look out, with her room sufficiently dimmed she could see clearly in the direction of the main building where one of the lights was still on.
"And I'm stuck here, but it's better than being cooped up in the old man's house buying me off," Gwen says.
Now she could just sit back and stare blankly at the still-lit window. Several times she blinked, as she happened to see someone standing at the window.
"Eh ..." Gwen quickly settled her down, and her eyes peeled. Then re-sharpen her vision toward the window. To make it clear even Gwen was out of her bed. Then bring her face closer to the window to get a closer look at someone standing close to the window.
And sure enough, she could see the man standing by the window, though not so clearly. But from the shadows, Gwen could identify him as a man.
"Man! " Gwen muttered.
Then after a while, Gwen came to her senses, if the windows were still on the third floor. A floor that no one enters without the owner's permission. Gwen's eyes were round.
"What is a ghost? "Gwen asked softly with her quivering lips, her facial expression turning frightened.
Quickly Gwen hit her forehead, "You idiot, I'm not a little girl anymore, you have to believe in ghost stories!"
Gwen looked back at the window, and the man's shadow was still visible in the same spot.
"He's human if the ghost is already gone. Silly me!"
Gwen's eyes instantly became clear, so she guessed in her mind that the man was the owner of this place. The man who is now the master here.
"Oh, my God, it's true! Who else could be on the third floor if not the owner! "Gwen says. Quickly Gwen closed the window curtain and returned to her bed.
"Don't let him see me! Cecil says Sir Theodoric is fond of discipline! And it's late, if he sees I'm asleep yet, I'm afraid he'll get mad! " Gwen directly laid her body on the bed.
"I have to go to bed, I have to get up early in the morning! " she said again.
Meanwhile, Davon, who had done his work, accidentally stood by the window to enjoy the view of the night sky.
Drowsiness did not attack him until he was still in his room and had not returned to his room.
As it had been before, the night was silent. And Davon likes a silence like this.
Tonight there is no deal in his group that he has to monitor like before.
Philip has notified the headquarters of safety conditions as well as the mansion's surroundings if everything is under control and control.
As he lingered over time, he caught movement in one of his window stands. His eyes were quite sharp, he could see if the curtain on one of the windows had just been closed. His brow furrowed, and at that moment he realized that the movement was in his new servant's quarters.
"TSK! It's that girl! " said Davon.
Davon turned to the clock set on the wall of his room, and the time had drawn near midnight. Then he turned to her window again. Of course, Davon knew who the waiter was, who was none other than the girl he found on the brink. The girl from the Archerion family.
Davon knew that the girl was harmless and would not be a threat to himself or his group. And he also knew that the girl was on the run. He was fine with it, as long as the girl knew where she was and didn't do anything weird.
But even so, Davon has asked to Marry and Philip to keep an eye on her because she's still new here. Vigilance remains the highest priority.
"At least it's a safe place for you, as long as you follow all the rules around here! " said Davon then.
Moments later Davon chose to leave his room and go back into his bedroom. It was time to get some rest, since the next day he had a rather busy schedule in the office. As of tomorrow night, there will be a transaction to be carried out by his group.
