As usual, Davon was getting ready for the office early in the morning. Although he had just returned to the mansion a few hours ago and had very little time to rest. Davon does always arrive at the office on time, although he may decide not to go to the office and run the company.
But he did all that to cover up his life in the black world so that no one would suspect him. And not only that, Davon is very disciplined. He had been raised very hard by his grandfather. Both physically and mentally.
His breakfast was on the table, this time enjoying his breakfast in one of the rooms on the third floor. For Davon wants to enjoy his breakfast along with a view of the trees that can freshen his eyes in the morning.
"Enjoy your meal, Sir! " Marry said in full respect to Davon. As a chief steward of course Marry was responsible for Davon's immediate needs.
Davon doesn't want just anyone who can serve him. As a big corporate leader and a big mob leader, his life is very important. Because an enemy could infiltrate his residence and pose as his work and then simply kill him.
Whereas Marry was her trusted confidant to hold all her needs at the mansion and set up everything. Marry has worked long on the family since her grandfather was still in full power. Until Marry would never betray him.
"Hmm," Davon just muttered quietly and nodded his head a little.
Marry knows Davon very well. Marry soon left Davon alone as soon as she thought it was all over and there was nothing that Davon needed anymore. Davon used to enjoy his meals since he did not like too many people nearby.
That is why Davon is very particular about his choice of servants. Marry is the only one who has served her so far, and some of the trusted servants here by Marry, even if they can't be on the third floor alone. They have to stay with Marry.
Davon enjoys his breakfast in silence, with occasional eyes staring at the distance. All the while he looked, he could find only green trees. Nothing else, everything was dominated by the green color of the tree and the blue of the sky was a little yellowish with the sun that seemed to shine brightly, because, before long, the sun had just risen.
Finished his breakfast, Davon soon got out of his seat. He doesn't want to sit there too long. With his broad step, Davon walked out of the room.
Davon had a moment of hesitation when he was about to press the elevator button to go downstairs. There was an argument within him as he stood in front of the lift. Until eventually he decided to go down the stairs.
"It's still early in the morning," he says very slowly as he looks at his wristwatch, then he starts down the stairs he has not passed for a long time.
Meanwhile, Gwen had started working a few minutes ago, while Cecil was picking up some needed equipment from the cellar to leaving Gwen alone on the second floor in a short while.
Gwen turned her head left and right, there were some corridors on the second floor. And there's plenty of room here, so it's gonna take her and Cecil plenty of time to clean the whole second floor if they're done alone.
"It was very quiet," Gwen says.
Gwen then breathed deeply with her hands holding a vacuum cleaner. The two of them were in such a hurry, they forgot some of the tools they needed to clean up.
"It's too bad, there are so many rooms and not used at all," she says.
What she's saying is true, she and Cecil had days of coming in to clear about three rooms. And everything seemed untouched.
As she fell silent and waited for Cecil's arrival, Gwen suddenly evaporated. She quickly covered her mouth with one hand.
"It's still early, and you've been yawning? " suddenly a voice came from behind her, right from the stairs. Quickly she turned to the source of the voice, and she could see a man dressed so neatly standing on the third step.
Gwen's face quickly faded, between shock, fear, and shame.
She then went to apologize, her mouth opened to answer, but suddenly he said again. "So sleep well! " His speech sounded bitter.
Instantly Gwen's forehead furrowed deep.
'Why did he know that I was awake last night and had a hard time falling back from sleep when I had turned the lights off,' Gwen thought. Gwen's eyes remained fixed on him, in addition to his neat dress, the aroma that wafted from him was quite strong. As though the scent of the room was lost in the scent of the man's perfume. Especially when the man returned down the stairs, and now the distance between them was only about a half a mile away.
"P-pardon" was the only thing capable of coming out of Gwen's mouth, but somehow she was so nervous. As if the man possessed a bit of mystical charm.
The man paid no attention to Gwen, just looking at her intently.
Sometimes she looked down, sometimes she looked him in the face.
'Why does this guy look so familiar? Where did I meet him? ' Gwen asked herself in her heart.
Gwen unconsciously looked him in the face with a frown. Until a moment later Gwen smiled broadly and exclaimed, "I remember!!"
Gwen looked so pleased, "aren't you the man in the woods that time? Did you help me? " Gwen asked insistently.
She was overjoyed, because she eventually met the man she met in the woods that day, and Gwen believes that she is now in the mansion and has the opportunity to work.
"You remember? " The man asked.
Gwen nodded quickly. "Of course, it was a little dark in there but my eyes didn't have any problems," Gwen then took a deep breath, "and your perfume was so distinctive, I had never smelled anything like this," Gwen explains.
The man is expressionless.
And this kept Gwen a little clumsy, but at least she just wanted to thank this man in front of her. Thanks to this guy, she's in a safe place now.
"Thank you, for helping --"
"I didn't do it, thanks to Philip! " The man said coldly as he began walking down the stairs.
Gwen's eyes were wide-eyed, "w-who's Philip? " She asked.
"Does he work here, too? Like me and you? " Gwen asked again.
The man walked quietly and casually as if he had no Gwen nearby, but immediately came back to him and turned to her. His face still looks flat and cold, "You're right! "He said curtly.
