Chapter 13 - Is that true?

Gwen now returned alone after the man she did not know by name had left, and the man mentioned only Philip. Her brow is getting wrinkled. She didn't know who Philip was or who he was. Because when she was in the woods, all she saw was the man she had just met.

And Gwen was convinced all along that men would come to her aid. But the guy says Phillip helped her and brought her here.

Gwen scratched her head that didn't itch at all, "this is making me dizzy and more and more clueless."

"Never mind, I'm going to ask Cecil, let's hope she knows the man named Philip. Cecil might know him. doesn't Philip work here? " Gwen says. "And I'll thank him."

A few minutes later Cecil comes along, Cecil comes with a grunt that looks pissed off.

"What's wrong? " Gwen asked her friend.

"It bothers me that they made fun of me when I was in the barn! " Lamented Cecil.

"They? " Gwen asked in seeming bewilderment with a frown, not understanding those to whom Cecil was referring.

Cecil stared at Gwen in disbelief, "them, the ones I told you about the other day when we had lunch, the shitty waitresses."

Gwen seemed to think and remember until she finally remembered some of the servants who felt like seniors here and took delight in oppressing new workers.

"Oh, yes, I remember! " Gwen exclaimed in the end. "And why do they bother you?"

Cecil shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know, which I do know I'm not bothering them and I'm not doing anything wrong," Cecil explained.

"It's complicated, let's just forget about them. Aren't we doing a lot of work today?" Gwen was trying to deflect the frustration Cecil was feeling.

"You're right! Too upset I had forgotten our work, " replied Cecil.

Gwen chuckled, "We'd better get to work, so we can finish it faster! " She says, taking a bucket from Cecil's hand that she had taken from the warehouse.

Cecil nodded, and then they both began their work while talking about many things. It's just that Gwen forgot to ask Cecil what she was talking about with the man she met accidentally.

At lunchtime, Cecil immediately took Gwen to get their lunch. Only this time Cecil took Gwen out of the building where they lived and enjoyed their lunch outside.

There is a small park adjacent to the building that directly borders the forest.

There were some wooden tables and chairs there, and Cecil invited Gwen to sit on one of them. Incidentally, their lunch is today a sandwich with tuna stuffing, so it's not too hard to eat out.

"I saw this place a few times, but now I can come here," Gwen says.

"Hmm," Cecil only muttered because right now she's chewing her food.

"We seem to be the only ones eating here," Gwen says after swallowing her first bite.

Cecil nodded, "I don't know why, this place is rarely visited. It's a good place, but it's probably because it's too far away and far behind, "says Cecil.

"Hmm, looks that way. But are we okay to eat here? " Gwen asked.

"As far as I know, there's no law against being here. Besides, we're on a break right now."

Gwen nodded, "You're right."

They returned to enjoy their lunch in a silence that lasted only a few moments.

'Philip! ' Gwen exclaimed in her heart, remembering her conversation with him this morning and Cecil, who used to mention Mr. Philip's name.

"S-sir? " Gwen blurted in disbelief.

And Gwen's words caught Cecil's attention, which immediately brought him to his senses.

"Sir? where? " asked Cecil with a little panic, and then she circulated her views all over the place.

Gwen immediately touched Cecil's hand, "No, there is none. I meant," Gwen's speech.

Now Cecil breathes a sigh of relief, "Oh, thank God! I think there is, if he finds us here, I'm afraid he'll be angry, "said Cecil.

Now Cecil is blinking at Gwen, "You're scaring me, and my heart nearly fell out of place!"

Gwen smiled broadly, "I'm sorry!"

"Why do you refer to Sir, Gwen? You startled me! " said, Cecil.

"I don't mean to shock you, but I just remember what happened this morning," Gwen says.

Cecil's forehead furrowed in, "This morning? What's going on?"

"I met someone this morning when you were picking up stuff from the warehouse," Gwen explained.

"Boy or girl? " asked Cecil curiously.

"Boys," Gwen answered curtly.

"And then?"

Gwen drew her breath and told Cecil as briefly as she could, "The man told me if my helper was Philip. Not him, so I have to ask you, do you know this Philip guy? And I seem to remember you mentioning Philip and calling him Mr. Philip, "Gwen explained.

All of a sudden Cecil's eyes widened perfectly, "Did you hear that right? Is it true that the man mentioned Mr. Philip by name?"

Gwen nodded, "I think you know him because I had a chance to ask him, does Philip work here as much as I do for him? And the man answered yes, "Gwen answered.

Cecil's face looked both bewildered and frightened.

"What's wrong with you? Is something wrong with my story? " Gwen wondered too.

Cecil glared at Gwen, "Don't you know who Mr. Philip is?"

Gwen shook her head.

"Aside from having heard it from me, have you heard it from Marry by any chance? " ask Cecil again.

Gwen's back on her head.

Now Cecil is taking a deep breath. "Well, I'll have you know. Mr. Philip is the confidant of Mr. Theodoric, the owner of this place. And Mr. Philip was the representative of Mr.Theodoric, " Cecil explained as briefly as possible, who had previously assured that no one else was around them.

Gwen's eyes instantly rotated perfectly, "Is that true? " She asked in disbelief.

Cecil nodded reassuringly, "Of course! Everybody knows who Mr. Philip is, Gwen!"

She certainly did not believe Cecil's words and was even more surprised that the man who belonged to the owner of this place had helped her and had brought her here. It's just, there's still something in Gwen that she had on him this morning. Because she couldn't be wrong, back in the woods... that's the only man she saw, nothing else.

"Just a minute! " Exclaimed Cecil, who made Gwen a little startled.

"What? "Gwen asked impulsively.

"Where did you meet the man who mentioned Mr. Philip? Didn't you say it happened while you were waiting for me from the warehouse? " asked Cecil.

"On the second floor, and the man came down from the 3rd floor using a staircase," Gwen answered.

"Third floor?" Cecil's mouth seemed to be gaping in disbelief.

Gwen nodded.

"What did the man look like? " Ask Cecil quickly.

Gwen recalls, "He was about six inches (180 cm) tall, with dark hair. And he wore a very neat suit, and I know it was expensive. His skin too is slightly pale, giving off a dramatic contrast to the color of his hair. His shoulders were wide, his eyes were sharp. But his face looks so stiff, it seems like it never smiles, " Gwen explains the reason why Cecil once again widened her eyes.

"Oh, my God, Gwen! That's Theodoric Sir! " exclaimed Cecil frantically.

"W-what?"
