As I watch him sleep soundly, all the memory from the previous night came running to me. I felt a heat rushing down to me, as I softly giggle on how rough but careful he was last night.
Bruhsing a hair strand from his face, I admirely looked at him. With a smile forming in my lips I peck a soft kiss to his and carefully lifted the duvet.
My naked body was exposed and is being hit my the sunlight that is coming through the window but I don't felt any remorse or regret. I walked slowly towards the bathroom and cleaned myself before dressing to a jeans and lose shirt.
Letting my hair be dried by the air, I walked along the hallway. The light and the chirping of the birds makes me feel the peace I ever wanted.
Humming down, I reach for the fridge and pull out some meats for me to start cooking breakfast.
I'm halfway through when a heat arms looped around my waist. Chuckling I looked at him and saw his messy state.
"Hmmm, looks like someone is exhausted last night." I teasingly said to him.
"Hmmm." He just hummed and by his tone I know his still sleepy and we'll exhausted. Can't blame anyone.
"Why don't you goback to bed and get some more rest?" I suggest, turning off the stove and placing a lid on the simmering pot of breakfast.
He yawns and stretches, his bare chest exposed, and I can't help but admire his physique. "Maybe later. I want to spend some more time with you," he murmurs, nuzzling his face into my neck.
I lean into his warm embrace, feeling his lips gently kiss my skin. "Well, you can keep me company in the kitchen for now," I say, turning to face him.
His eyes meet mine, and there's a playful glint in them. "What are we having for breakfast?" he asks, still holding me close.
I smirk and raise an eyebrow. "You mean besides you?"
He laughs, a deep, rich sound that makes my heart flutter. "Of course, besides me. I'm hungry."
I reach for a few eggs and start cracking them into a bowl. "Scrambled eggs with cheese, toast, and some bacon," I reply, my hands moving with practiced ease.
He presses a soft kiss to my temple. "Sounds perfect."
As I cook, we chat about everything and nothing, our conversation flowing effortlessly. It's moments like these, the simple ones where we're just being ourselves, that I cherish the most.
After we finish eating, I clear the dishes while he dries them, a domestic routine we've fallen into over the months we've been together.
Once everything is cleaned up, he takes my hand and leads me back to the bedroom. "Now, about that rest you were suggesting earlier," he says with a mischievous smile.
I giggle as he pulls me onto the bed with him, and we spend the rest of the morning wrapped in each other's arms, savoring the warmth of our love and the promise of many more mornings like this to come.
As the morning turned into midday, we eventually peeled ourselves away from each other, knowing that life outside these walls demanded our attention. I watched him dress, admiring the way the fabric of his clothes clung to his muscular form. He caught me staring and winked playfully before finishing buttoning his shirt.
"Work calls," he said with a sigh, running a hand through his hair.
I nodded, understanding the demands of his busy schedule. "I've got some errands to run too."
He crossed the room and kissed me sweetly. "I wish I could stay here with you all day."
"I wish that too," I replied, my fingers tracing his jawline. "But we both have responsibilities."
We exchanged another lingering kiss before he reluctantly left the room. I watched him go, feeling a pang of longing in my chest. Despite the moments of separation, I couldn't help but smile at the thought that he would be back tonight, and our world would be righted once more.
With a sigh, I gathered my own belongings and headed out into the world. The sun was high in the sky, and the city was bustling with life. It was a stark contrast to the tranquility of our morning together, but I welcomed it. There was something invigorating about being out in the world, knowing that I had someone waiting for me to return.
I completed my errands efficiently and made my way back home. The apartment was quiet without him, but I busied myself with chores and tasks that needed attention. As the afternoon turned into evening, I couldn't help but anticipate his return.
When he finally walked through the door, exhaustion evident on his face, I greeted him with a warm smile. He looked at me with a mixture of relief and gratitude, and I knew that being here with me was his refuge from the demands of the outside world.
We shared a simple dinner, recounting our respective days, and laughed at the little joys and annoyances we had encountered. As the night settled in around us, we found ourselves wrapped in each other's arms once more, the world outside fading away.
In the quiet intimacy of our bedroom, with the soft glow of the moonlight filtering through the curtains, we made promises to each other. Promises of love, of togetherness, and of a future filled with more mornings like the one we had shared today.
And as we drifted off to sleep, entwined in each other's embrace, I knew that no matter what challenges the world threw at us, we would always find solace and strength in our love for one another.
