Chapter 16 - Chapter Sixteen

Months past and Cindy hasn't still appear, we still try to find out where and why she hasn't appear and to explain the things I couldn't fathom to gather. Death threats has been coming non-stop and I'm about to loss my mind for we couldn't track who might be sending those threats.

I've received a bloody box, filled with dead rotten cat with my face on it. It stinks and I've literally threw up and couldn't eat for days because of the horrifying sight I've seen.

Massimo, knowing this he would literally drop all his mafia work undone and will flew across the country to see my state that's why I kept it for myself. Except for my assistant and trusted bodyguard. Which they thought it would be better if Massimo will know but I interject and begged them to not say a word not until things got out of hand.

As I was about to fall asleep the door suddenly opened and I heard Diana waking me up. Opening my eyes I saw her face filled with fear, frantic and panic.

"Oh! Thank God! Hurry we have to leave. Cindy's here and she brought accomplices that are armed. So we have to hurry. NOW!", That startled me because never in my life I've seen Diana so frantic and shaky. But Cindy? With an armed accomplices? No! That's impossible.

"What that's absorb? Maybe Cindy has been framed and that's why." I argued and walking towards the opened door but as I was about to get out a blaring sounds of gun fired up filled the floor and voices of unfamiliar men's. But what broken me the most is that one voice I've really known.

"Oh Natalia! I've heard you've been looking for me. I'm here. Come to mama." An eerie and psychotic voice filled the room we are in and made me freeze. That voice?

Looking around , I saw the CCTV and I knew already that she's watching as from the control room.

"Why?" I choked as my voice starts to crack but I held back myself to not shed a single tear because it'll just show the weakness inside of me.

She has seen the weak spot of mine and that'll never be used against me. Not against my will.

The trust that I had given to her for all those years that she has been into my side has vanished as her evily demonic laugh echoes the walls around. Vibrating and echoing, lika a needles pricking my head in pain.

"Finally! That question. I had been saving that to be brought. The answer? Do you wanna hear it?" She said taunting me, like a child playing with her mommy.

Gritting my teeth, I clenched my fist looking calm towards the CCTV cam that has been installed inside my office.

Why haven't I noticed? All those years, she has been watching my move and my conversations with my husband alongside with his brother.

What a genius she is. Exactly, but not in a smart way.

"Ires, dear look around you. You have everything, money, fame, high buildings, expensive clothes, luxury, and most of all a hot and handsome husband. Oh! That must've been so good to have it all. Frankly, If I didn't set you up in that foolish vacation of yours you wouldn't have your husband beside you. If I only knew, that hot and smoking man will be yours I should've had made you go away in that silly vacation and I, I will be the woman who's in that arm of that man everyday. But no! It's you, IT'S ALWAYS BEEN YOU. YOU STOLE EVERYTHING FROM ME, TREAT ME LIKE A DOG, WHO JUST FOLLOWS YOU EVERYWHERE AND TAKE WHATEVER YOU SAY. "

"Is that how you see me? See things around me? A possession that can be took? Cindy, I had treated you with respect and dignity not a dog nor a maid that follows me around and takes everything I asked for. Look, you wanna talk, now it's time to talk and clear this things up. " I calmly answered. Knowing her that an anger tone could prove her to do the worst of all.

Oh! I never knew Cindy always feel like this if I have known. I could have prevented it all from happening. And make things as peaceful as it can be.

"There you are, that sweet and sugar-coated words that can make someone agree. But hey! Not me, so nope. I don't wanna talk. " She laughs almost like a madman. She has lost her mind.

"Now, I'm sorry to cut this conversation of our Your Highness..." The mocking tone laced in her voice, stressing the "your highness" word. "..I've got a building to blow up." She said and almost like immediately I hear explosion coming from the other side of the building.

Wide eye, I grab Diana and pulled her inside a room that could have save our lives. It's a secret room that has been built up, secretly and even Cindy herself doesn't know that I have a secret room built inside in this office just in case of any emergencies.

"HURRY!" I yelled at Diana who was frantically running in the door pulling something or rather someone inside and laying it in the carpet.

I recognized it as one of my employee, and coincidentally we had the same outfit just not same style. But close to it.

The explosion got nearer and nearer because we felt the ground shake and I knew the floor we are in we'll explode in any minute.

"COME ON! WE DON'T HAVE TIME!" I Ed at her again, holding the metal door. I saw her rammed inside my cabinet and pulled some envelope and exchange another to it. Placing them into the safe box, where in it might survive.

Clutching the envelopes tightly to her chest, she ran towards me and before the explosion could have made us killed, we managed to get the door closed and almost immediate. We felt the room or mostly cage we are in, blow up and stumbles.

"HOLD TIGHT!!" I tell her, while adjusting my sight because of the dizziness.

I should have putted some cushion inside this cage, now I'm regretting not putting it. My body aches in pain, in every stumble the cage takes.

Groan escapes my throat as we wait for the metal cage to land, which eventually did. But on a ground so the impact we receive inside is painful. Like shit.

"Fuck!" Diana's voice echoed and I carefully open my eyelids. Still feeling the dizziness, I managed to get on my feet. Thankfully, this metal age isn't as short as it be.

Fixing my clothes, I felt a hot liquid trilling from my forehead. Touching it I realized I must've hit my head hard.

"You alright, ma'am?" I nod at her in response still feeling light-headed.

The papers which has been placed inside the envelope has scattered around and upon picking up one piece of it I realized it's my legal business papers. Oh God!

I almost lost everything. Looking at Diana I gave her a smile lifting the paper in my hand.

"Thank you," I breathlessly said to her.

"You've earned it, you must keep it." She answered back.

Pain shot my body as I take a step and Diana must've noticed it because she offered me a hand. Helping me to open the door, which we didn't find it easy. The lock must've been damaged but it opened anyway.
