Synopsis
After reading the new novel I just picked up I couldn’t guess that I would wake up as the side character who is killed on the second page. Wolf Spade my soon to be husband or should I say my soon to be executioner. A tyrant king who spilled blood like it was water. No one could escape his cold gaze or sharp blade. Every woman that was sent to his kingdom for marriage was sent back in pieces or thrown into the lake. It’s said that King Spade is cursed and deemed to never feel love he is a monster in a man’s body. How did such a man become my husband? Well the side character I possessed is a forgotten Princess from a crumbling Kingdom who was offered as a sacrifice to King Spade in order to clear its debt. “Your Majesty my daughter is pretty and docile like a doll if you accept her hand in marriage will that settle our accounts”? Was what Anastasia Dimitri’s father said as he sold her off. That Princess is now me but I have secrets of my own I won’t die just like that!

Chapter 1 - The Purchase

Growing up as the black sheep in the family was my role and I played it well.

Being the youngest child of three my parents never paid attention to me neither did my older siblings.

Yet that never stopped me from trying to receive their love.

Years went by of me trying to be apart of their world, apart of their family but they just ignored me like I didn't exist.

My siblings went on to get married and have children we are so estranged that I've never met any of my nieces and nephews I only see them through social media.

I am now 20 years old and a university student I have my own apartment and I'm content on living alone.

Since I don't have many friends I usually spend my time reading novels when I'm not studying.

After a grueling lecture I just wanted to relax so I went to my favorite bookstore.

A few covers caught my eye but one book at the very end of the shelf seemed to call to me.

Picking it up I felt drawn to it the cover was beautiful I had to read it "King of Navarros" was the name it intrigued me.

I purchased the book and rushed home eager to turn the pages.

After a shower and meal I open the book ready to read I'm immediately drawn into the story especially to the antagonist Wolf Spade.

His character was merciless and obsessive he spared no one but throughout the story I start to feel that underneath all of the madness is someone who was hopelessly lonely.

Something I could identify with but that did not change the fact that he was serverly insane and a murderous psychopath.

In the novel he would go on rampages killing anyone in sight afterwards he'd be covered in blood like a beast that just hunted prey.

"So scary" I said as I turned the pages.

King Spade's mother died giving birth to him he was raised by palace maids who treated him harshly since he did not receive the Kings love.

He was the only child and heir to the throne of Navarros his father King Arnold made sure to teach young Wolf how to become a proper member of the royal family and King.

He eventually usurped the throne at eighteen after his father sent the Kingdom into a drought. King Author was said to be a terrible king who indulged in overspending of palace funds, shameless acts with countless women including maids.

After his accession to the throne it was said that King Spade ruled the Kingdom better than any other king before his reign he was both loved and feared by his people.

His strength surpassed that of mankind no one dared to face him on the battlefield.

At the age of 25 King Spade had only spent his time on the battlefield killing countless enemies and taking over other countries.

"My King please consider taking a bride, the Kingdom Of Navarros needs an heir, if you continue to kill the women sent.." King Spade's closest aide Carl said.

"Wow this aide is bold" I thought as I read on.

"All of these women are greedy and unattractive you think I have time to play around with a girl Carl" King Spade said as he sharpened his sword.

"My King if you would consider meeting one more lady I would drop this subject" Carl said standing his ground.

"This aide has no fear"! I said as I read on.

"One more but if it's not satisfactory I shall have her head roll" King Spade said seething his sword.

*****

"My King please meet Princess Anastasia Dimitri the youngest daughter of King James the ruler of the Holy Kingdom" Carl announced.

"Your Majesity I am so happy to be here you are more handsome than I thought" Anastasia said with flirty eyes.

"Does she want to die"?! I thought as I read on turning to the second page.

"King Spade walks to Princess Anastasia with a smirk and she believes he has fallen for her charms she did not expect him to draw his sword and slice her neck" it read.

"Send her back to her father I won't have such things in my palace" King Spade said as he cleaned his bloody blade and walked out of the drawing room.

"Yes My King" Carl said bowing respectfully to his King.

"She died on the spot"?! He is crazy to kill his prospective fiancé just because she flirted a little!

No one thought King Spade would ever get married or have an heir due to his extreme distaste for women.

One night during a battle King Spade spotted a girl laying unconscious in a village that was attacked by the enemy.

Her dark hair and pale skin radiated under the moonlight and he fall in love at first sight.

This girl was a poor commoner named Beatrice her family was killed during the raid and she was left unconscious when Wolf found her.

He brought her back to his kingdom and got married King Spade loved Beatrice dearly and that's how it ended.

The book was a hit everyone approved of the happy ending and so did I considering I've never had a happy ending myself.

Closing the book and placing it on my nightstand I close my eyes prepare to sleep.

******

Why is my bed shaking is there an earthquake?

Peeling my eyes open there I realize that I'm not in my bed or even my room I'm sitting inside a carriage with a maid?

I must be dreaming..

Looking down I'm wearing a big ball grown dress and white gloves that covered my arms.

"Princess we have arrived at the King's palace" the maid across from me says in a monotone voice.

"Huh"?

She ignored my ignorance and gets out of the carriage then a man steps forward offering his hand to me.

Hesitantly I take his hand and exist the carriage it surprised me that I could actually feel and smell in this dream.

Before me stood a beautiful gold castle one that you could only read in novels.

"So beautiful" I whispered under my breath and since this is a dream I can look around right?

The man who I assumed was a butler guided the maid and I through the castle I took every opportunity to admire the castle.

"Announcing Princess Anastasia Dimitri of the Holy Kingdom" the butler said before the double doors opened revealing two men one old and the other young.

"Wh-what? Who?" I stuttered out with a scared expression the maid nudged me forward into the room.

"Anastasia! What are you doing greet the King"! The older man said glaring at me.

"I apologize Your Majesty my daughter is still young she must be tired from the long carriage ride" he continued to say.

They called me Anastasia Dimitri as in the prospective fiancé of that psycho King who murdered her on the second page in that book I just read?!

DID I TRANSMIGRATE?! Why and how?! Is it because we both share the same name?

I know the contents of this novel and if I really did transmigrate into Anastasia then I must avoid this death scene.

Why didn't I transmigrate before she met him! For now I have to survive and greet him properly.

"Greetings to his Majesty the King I am Anastasia Dimitri of the Holy Kingdom" I said doing my best to curtsey.

My head is still low when I see a pair of feet standing in front of me the oppressive aura that came from this person made me want to runaway.

"Hmm" he hummed.

"I will accept her we'll sign the contract" he said to the older man who I figured was King James the original Anastasia's father.

"Yes Yes" he said smiling widely knowing he just told his daughter.

Wait.. did I survive?

"Carl show her to her room" he said to the butler.

So that's carl the bold aide!

"This way Princess" Carl said guiding me out of the room I tried to look at Wolf properly before I left but still missed the chance. During this whole situation I hadn't seen his face properly because I was scared to look directly at him.

Arriving to a princess like room I asked to be left alone I need time to think.

"If I survived the death scene does that mean I can survive longer" I pondered.

I racked my brain trying to think of ways to survive I had no money to runaway and start a quiet life on top of the fact that I had no idea where I was or how things operated in this world.

Could I even go back?

Thinking of the contents of the novel there was nothing helpful to me since "I" died early on.

It only discussed the King's life on the battlefield up until he found the female lead Beatrice.

Thats it! If I can survive until Wolf and Beatrice meet I can move away and live peacefully while the main characters have their ending.

Plopping on the queen sized bed after agonizing over my survival I found myself dozing off to sleep.

What I did not know was that during my slumber the King entered my room and stood over my bed staring at me under the starry night.

"Hmm" he hummed to himself as he stared not knowing my his mind and heart felt confused when he first met her.

First chapter how was it?

This is my first time writing a transmigration story but I really enjoy them and I wanted to try!
