Chereads / My Husband Is A Tyrant / Chapter 6 - The Bug

Chapter 6 - The Bug

Anastasia slept soundly after counting many sheep. When she woke up the next morning her body felt heavy. Yet she didn't feel all too sick anymore she felt that this heaviness was something else.

Peeling her eyes open she's met with a bare and broad chest. Never seeing a naked man before she immediately tried to recoil backwards but was stopped by a strong arm.

"Wife you're awake," Wolf said with a husky morning voice. For the life of her, she couldn't understand why he wanted to call her wife and she call him husband. First names were already too much for her.

She also couldn't fathom why this half-naked man lay next to her with his arms wrapped around her. But now that she looked at their position more it seemed she was the one snaked around him.

"Yo-husband I'm awake, good morning, "Anastasia said trying to sit up and get some distance between them.

"How's your body?"

"I'm fine I want to wash so I'll call Elena in," she said trying to get him out as soon as possible.

"Hmm don't overdo it and have breakfast in bed." He said getting out of bed and ringing the bell to summon Elena and the other maids.

"Greetings Your Royal Highnesses" Elena and the other maids bowed and greeted them.

"I will bathe and continue my work here today, bring my clothes and documents, and afterward serve breakfast." He said heading to the bathroom.

"Nooo, you're supposed to leave and go do your Kingly duties somewhere else!" Anastasia thought as she watched him enter her bathroom.

"He just does whatever he wants! Why is he acting like a bug that won't leave me alone!"

*******

Breakfast was now being served and Anastasia wanted to get out of bed and at least eat at the table.

But when she tried to move Wolf made her sit back down.

"Husband I want to sit in a chair" she pleaded.

"No."

"But I-"

"No."

Tch. Tyrant!

Elena came in with the breakfast she started to sit down next to Anastasia so she could eat herself.

"Give it to me," Wolf said.

"Eat." He said feeding Anastasia for the second time. Anastasia felt a weird sensation in her heart when he feeds her this time. He didn't seem scary when he took care of her.

Anastasia realized that for the first time in her life, someone was taking care of her. No one had ever fed her soup when she was sick or stayed with her to make sure she was alright.

Anastasia looked at Wolf with a questioning glare "Are you the tyrant I know" she thought as she ate the food he feed her.

"Now rest."

There it was again, that cold voice of his, but for some reason, it didn't chill her to the bone like usual. She started to think his weirdness was rubbing off on her.

"I'm not tired though," she said pouting she already slept for 4 days.

"Well then find something to do that doesn't involve you leaving the bed." He said

Tch.

*******

Anastasia sat in bed reading while Wolf sat at a table checking over paperwork.

Ever so often Anastasia peeked up from her book to look at him.

"Mhm he is handsome, has a nice body, rich, and technically my husband I should feel lucky.. but I don't. All those great qualities go out the window when he's a murderous psycho." Anastasia thought as she watched him work.

"But why is he so different from the novel?

During her read, she never came across a time where he did this much for another person not even Beatrice his true love.

"Are things changing because of me?" She thought.

"What are you thinking so hard about?" Wolf said putting down some papers.

"Ah. I-I was daydreaming about the garden I want to go outside." She quickly lied but half told the truth she did want to go out.

"Not yet you still have to recover, maybe tomorrow if the weather is good." He said resuming his work.

She nodded.

"Bossy bossy bossy! That's all he does since he's a King he has developed a bad habit." Anastasia thought.

"I'll be back don't leave the bed, the maids will do everything." He said as he stood from the table walking towards her.

She watched his movements wondering what he was going to do. To her surprise, he leaned down placing his hand on her forehead.

"Hmm, you're not as warm as before." He said before taking his leave.

Anastasia placed her hand over the spot he just touched. It was still warm like she could still feel his hand there. Why did it feel so comfortable and natural she thought.

Elena and the other maids came in shortly after and provided her with all the things she needed. But Anastasia was still too bored after being able to roam freely she hated being cooped up now.

Since coming to this world she unknowingly changed.

"Elena I want to go out to the garden to prepare a shawl," Anastasia said getting out of bed.

"B-but Your Royal Highness, the King.. the king said not to allow you outside." She said nervously not ever has she disobeyed the King nor Anastasia.

"It's fine I'll deal with it, prepare to go out." She said somewhat confidently.

When she stepped foot outside she inhaled the fresh air letting the warm breeze hit her body.

"Ahh this is it," she said letting her hair blow in the wind.

"Your Royal Highness what if you get sick? What if the King finds out?" Elena said putting more clothes over her and looking around nervously.

"Elena, relax, the King is out I just wanted to step out for a second he won't know." She said waving her hand.

"Who won't know?" A deep voice came from behind her startling her into oblivion.

"Ahhhh!" She yelled in surprise which did not befit a Queen.

Anastasia turned around to see an angry look plastered across Wolf's face. She was so shocked she couldn't speak. "Why is he back already it's been less than ten minutes!" She thought.

"Disobeying the King's orders is treason did I not say don't allow her to leave her bed?" He scolded Elena and the other maids.

They all dropped to their knees begging for mercy.

"Your Majesty, it is my fault I deserve death," Elena said causing Anastasia to panic. She didn't want this it was different when her life was at stake but she couldn't let innocent people die because of her.

She especially cared for Elena she's a maid but to Anastasia, she's her first friend.

"No! Don't blame them I ordered them to take me here so don't blame them!" She yelled Anastasia was worried that Elena's head would roll.

"They disobeyed my command! How dare they put you in danger! Their Queen!"

"You can't blame them for listening to me I'm their Queen! They have to follow my commands as well!" She argued back letting all the fear she had for him vanish.

"You! Go inside at once I'll deal with these maids later." He said daring her to argue further.

Anastasia did not want to concede this battle but she felt if she pressed on more it may not be in her or Elena's favor.

Anastasia paced back and forth inside her room for what seemed like hours. She hasn't seen Elena since the confrontation and she was extremely worried.

"Is she still alive? Did he kill her?" She anxiously thought.

Just then her door opened and Elena walked in when Anastasia saw her she ran to embrace her friend.

"Elena!" She cried out.

"Y-your Royal Highness! I-I'm fine." She said.

"Are you? He didn't hurt?" She questioned as she twisted her around examining her.

"He didn't for the first time the King was merciful."She exclaimed.

Anastasia was shocked.

"Did he not do anything?"

Not wanting to jinx her luck she smiled happily that everyone was safe. She swore to never put Elena in jeopardy again.

"So what did the King say to you all?" She questioned further she couldn't believe he just let it go.

"Well, he did deduct a month's worth of our salary and said that it wouldn't be a next time."Anastasia could see her tremble at the last statement.

"I'm sorry Elena I didn't mean to cause you trouble," Anastasia said sincerely.

"Oh my Your Royal Highness please do not apologize it's my honor to serve you." Elena also said sincerely.

Anastasia gave her a genuine smile.

"Have some tea, Your Royal Highness, to calm you." She said noticing how anxious she was earlier.

"Yes," Anastasia said getting in bed she wanted to be in bed in case Wolf came in. She needed to show him that she was better that way she could finally be set free.

Speaking of the devil Wolf barged in without knocking or an announcement.

"Tch. Bold as ever." Anastasia frowned.

"Out." He directed to Elena who scurried away.

"Why did you leave your bed let alone your chamber?" He questioned as he stalked towards her.

"I -I." Anastasia stuttered she did not know how to respond to his domineering aura.

"You thought I wouldn't know you left? I have eyes everywhere." He said climbing in bed on top of her.

"Y-Your Majesty!" She squealed she was going crazy having him so close.

"What? You aren't so bold now." He said as he rolled over onto the other side of the bed.

"Don't disobey me again or you will certainly answer to me." He said closing his eyes and going to sleep.

Anastasia lay frozen in place still in shock over him climbing on top of her. Her heart was racing and her stomach fluttered.

"What was that?" She questioned looking at his sleeping face.
