"Are you sorry? Um... not a very convincing excuse but I don't blame you, your species is one of the most thankless I've created anyway."
The being called god sighed and shook his head slowly as if to show me his annoyance with a body expression that I understood.
After that he started walking around me with slow and incredibly rhythmic steps that made my heart beat which was already at its limits, making me even more nervous if that was even possible.
"You all beg for my help like whining children wanting to run into their father's arms at the slightest problem."
"When I give it to you you think you are superior to your fellow men as if you were "chosen one" and when I don't give it to you, you dare to insult me with everything you can think of."
These words echoed in my head like lightning and my body shook with terror as I watched her infinitely pure eyes become oppressive.
The pressure was so great that I spat out blood and knelt on the ground while quickly putting my head down without daring to meet his eyes.
"Yet I created everything with what you named free will, I do not intervene in any of your destinies, I let you do what you want, your life as well as your destiny belongs to you yet you still dare to complain to me."
He then stopped walking around me and stopped again in front of me who was still kneeling because of the incredibly oppressive aura he gave off.
With his hands that were mine, he took me by my neck and lifted me off the ground, his oppressive aura gone as he let go of my neck while I stood with my legs still slightly shaking as blood oozed from my nose.
He smiled at me so pleasantly that I forgot the pain I felt throughout my body, my heart rate returned to normal, the blood flowing from my nose and the metallic taste in my mouth also disappeared as he said.
"But I'll tell you a secret, do you know why I created all the universes in my possession?"
To this strange question I shook my head with difficulty, not daring to say anything rash.
"Because it was entertaining."
These merciless words struck my heart to the point where my breathing stopped and I froze for several seconds as he grinned at me.
This time my legs flew again and I fell to the ground again but not because of a supernatural pressure crushing me but because of the words that this being called god pronounced.
"So our... existence... is just a form of entertainment."
"That's right."
"That's right, to enjoy it, I even avoid using my omniscience, otherwise it would lose all its interest but this universe is starting to get boring all the other planets that harbor what you call "intelligent life form" have been destroyed by their inhabitants there are still one or two worlds like yours but well it's getting really boring."
I continued to stare at him without saying a word as he told me about various interesting things in the world of the creatures he had created and about which he felt a slight pride, but I still couldn't forget those previous words.
Our lives were just entertainment.
She died just to entertain him.
My whole life has been for his entertainment.
All my sufferings, joys and sorrows were only to entertain him.
"Well, I think I've said all I have to say, it feels good to talk like you humans do from time to time, I'd love to chat with you longer, but it's time to pack up the stage, goodbye Miles, I hope you enjoyed your stay in my world."
He said with a big smile then snapped his fingers.
The noise of the cars in the distance disappeared and the whole city became silent and before my incredulous eyes the sky appeared to explode, the buildings around me rose into the sky while titanic columns of water so large that I could see them in the distance pierced the skies towards space.
The stars in the sky lost their brightness one by one and the second one followed the building on which we had appeared in the space void.
But I didn't care about these details because before my terrified eyes I saw the oceans being emptied into space, the moon being reduced to dust and the planet being torn into thousands of pieces while almost all the stars around me disappeared.
"Please stop!"
"Huh? What's wrong?"
The being calling himself god turned to me asking with a surprised look.
"I apologize! I apologize for insulting you we all apologize! All humans but please stop! Please!"
Time seemed to stop again and all the incredible phenomena that occurred were as if paused while the being called God looked at me and stroked his chin which was identical in every way to mine.
"Your excuse is worthless, you have no value, the only reason I was talking with you was because I was on this roof long before you and I wanted to talk with one of you before the end of your universe that's all, so enjoy the show it is not given to every being to witness the end of his world."
At these words the space became incredibly dark the earth following the fate of the moon began to turn to dust all the stars in the sky disappeared completely letting me see the end of our universe, for a short time I was resigned
I was going to kill myself a few minutes earlier what business was it of mine if this universe disappeared but every time I thought of the people I met during my life and the few people that I could have missed or appreciated my resignation disappeared.
"Wait!"
"What now? You're starting to get loud."
He turned back to me with an exasperated look that made me swallow a big mouthful of saliva, I got up this time by myself from the floor and gathered all my courage, i said.
"You said you were bored, in fact I'm an author gives me, fifteen years, no ten years I'll write you the best novels that have ever existed, if I succeed please spare the earth!"
"..."
"....."
He looked at me silently before laughing out loud exactly as I would have done while pointing at me.
"Puff Haha are you serious? Haha do you realize how absurd your words are?"
"I panicked... and said... the first thing ...I thought of."
I mumbled in embarrassment as my creator laughed at my stupidity for several minutes making me want to kill myself for the second time in this day.
Seeing my embarrassment, he smiled and slowly shook his head, perhaps touched by my efforts, the process of destruction that the universe was encountering stopped, then he looked thoughtful for a moment and said with a big dazzling smile that reminded me of the smile of a child who has just found a new toy.
"Okay, let's make a bet."
"What?!!"
"Let's make a bet, but you really don't have anything that I'm interested in and in a way I own you but let's all forget about it and say I'm going to challenge you if you pass my challenge and entertain me well I'll leave your world untouched until it ends."
These words made my heart miss a beat but these next words sent shivers down my spine.
"But if you fail, not only will your world be over, but I will reserve a fate for you that cannot be expressed in words of cruelty.
His smile appeared to me then terrifying, at this moment I had to make a choice.
To save a world that I didn't care about in the end and risk what seemed to be the punishment of a terrifying being or to give up and simply die as I wanted to do so fervently a few minutes earlier.
Maybe it was the instinct of preservation of the race that every creature had, maybe it was the little love left that I had for the people I had met during my 29 years of life but at that moment I said words of which I had absolutely no idea of the consequences.
"I accept!"
The smile of the being called god became even bigger as my vision slowly blurred.
"I hope you will entertain me properly."
I fainted as I heard the last words spoken by this terrifying being.
