Chapter 58 - Chapter 57

This has become a tradition. Wafi, at least once a week, would randomly pop up at Hisoki's house. Mostly to be annoying and to distract the teacher from doing anything helpful. However, not once has he been kicked out, which was a good sign. Today's meal was sushi and dumplings. Technically it was only supposed to be dumplings, but Wafi saw a sale that he couldn't waste.

Plus….. It was fish.

He lightly knocked on Hisoki's door, switching the weight on his foot from one side or the other. This had been going on for weeks, and every time the same interaction would happen between them.

"Wafi?"

"I brought food."

"What are you doing here?"

"I came here to see your handsome face."

"..."

And everytime the lovely Hisoki would say yes. Let's be honest, he had a soft spot for Wafi. Then again, he probably had a soft spot for all of his students. Was it because he liked his students, or was it something special. Wafi really hoped it was the latter. The boy was lucky, very lucky. Because he got to see a part of Hisoki most haven't. That made him seem special. Not necessarily the kiss. But the kiss was definitely a part of it.

Instead, his hair being a mess, with strands waving everywhere. Instead of a button up or turtleneck, a blue hoodie. Pleated pants replaced with jeans. He looked shockingly normal. After another beat of him not answering, Wafi huffed, knocking again. Maybe he wasn't there. Well, then who would eat his sushi and dumplings with him? He wouldn't be able to-

The door opened, Hisoki on the other side. He seemed more tired than usual, almost sleeping on his feet. However, his eyes were mostly opened. His hair was tired back in a small ponytail, his bangs out. He smiled lightly when he saw Wafi. The student lightly lifted the bag, proud. She smiled at Hisoki. "I brought food." Hisoki laughed quietly. But it wasn't his normal laugh, instead a more light hearted one. It was almost sweet.

Hisoki let him step inside, shutting the door behind him. "Why are you always here?" His voice was bubbly.

Not Hisoki.

Absolutely not Hisoki.

And Wafi knew exactly who it was.

Wafi quickly turned around to meet Kiso's eyes. "I can ask the same for you." Unlike Harley, he didn't mind the other alter's taking over. As long as it wouldn't interfere with anything important, they can do what they want. He hadn't officially met Kiso before, last time they saw each other, Harley tackled her.

"You know, I should have known by the hair. Hisoki would never do something like that." Wafi thinks for a second. Not that he didn't mind it. It was a hot hairstyle. Kiso laughs. "Doesn't look bad, does it?" She tilts her head to Wafi, showing him the style. Wafi shakes his head. "It's nice to actually meet you." Wafi says, placing a hand out. He wasn't going to act a different way around Kiso, Masa said she was nice. She grabs it, smiling proudly. "It's nice to meet you too." She nods.

Wafi walks over, placing the bag of food onto the island like he always would. He looked around the room. It didn't seem very different from normal. "Did something trigger you?" He asked, looking back at Kiso, who shook her head. "Not exactly. My poor baby finished watching a show, and it didn't end how he wanted it to. So I had to comfort him." She explained the subtle heaviness in her voice.

Aw, so sweet.

"You can have it if you want. I know Hisoki rarely has anything good in his fridge." Wafi shrugged. Kiso glanced over at the meal. "You eat first, I'll eat the rest. I have to finish up some work-" She started, ready to walk out of the room, but Wafi gave her the puppy eyes. He didn't want her to live, he wanted them to hang out for a while. Actually, have fun. She rolls her eyes. "Puppy eyes don't work with me, but we can talk for a while." She sits down on the couch.

It was silent, Kiso staring out the window and Wafi eating. That was before Kiso sighed. "You seem like you have questions." She observes. Oh, he did. So many. Like why was she here? Where did the name Kiso come from? But he didn't want to learn it because it was Hisoki. He wanted to learn it because it was Kiso. He wanted to know about the altar. Though, he had one question that stuck in his mind.

"How are you?"

______

Kiso shook her head, standing up. "No, that is the one question I will not answer." She raised her hands, showing defeat. Wafi frowned. "Come on! It's really not that bad!" Wafi pouted, before stuffing another dumpling into his mouth. She stared at him. "It's like you're cheating." Kiso muttered.

Wafi knew he had to be careful. He said the wrong thing in the wrong way, it could sound demanding. "No, it's not. I'm using everything to my advantage. Just give me a basic hint, please!" Wafi begged. He clasped his hands together, shaking them. Kiso stared at him for a moment, before sighing. She hated him so much right now, that part was obvious. "Fine. He loves you all." She said hesitantly. Wafi simply stared. In what way? Did he love them, or not? It was shockingly confusing.

"That's a bullshit answer." He muttered, snapping his wooden chopsticks in half. He had brought metal ones, so those weren't needed. Kiso glared at him sternly. "Excuse me?" She asked, tilting her head to him. Oh shit, that was rude, wasn't it? He stopped talking, stepping out of his seat and bowing. "Sorry, I shouldn't have said that…" He murmured. Kiso only hummed, shaking her head.

This was harder than he thought.

"But, I have a point. He must love me enough to kiss me-"

"Are you sure that was Hisoki though?"

All the blood drained from Wafi's face. He turned to look at Kiso, who had a poker face. He didn't... but Hisoki was acting just like himself. He never thought that.... But there was always something… a tell that Wafi could see. Kiso's voice is higher than Hisoki's, Masa talks with an american accent, it was things that only people who know Hisoki could tell. "So, Hisoki didn't kiss me? Then who did?" He asked hesitantly.

"I just said that as a point. It might have been Hisoki, might not have. I believe he did though." She answers. Kiso seemed like a god, always giving vague answers. "Will Hisoki remember this conversation?" Wafi asked. Kiso smiles, crossing her legs and leaning on her arm. "Only if I tell him. Why?"

Wafi had two options.

Tell her everything,

Or tell her nothing.
