Baker watches calmly as Harley nods his head, glancing up at Baker before going back to the water. The noirette boy plugs the bathtub, before standing up. He grabs body wash, pouring a little in to add bubbles. He turned around to Baker. "I'll go outside. You can undress and get into the bath. It's already warm, ok?" He smiled caringly.
It made Baker's heart flutter.
He nodded. Harley stepped out of the bathroom, leaving Baker all to himself. The boy took a minute, breathing in the warm steam, before hopping off the counter. He turned his back to the mirror, sliding off his pants. When he took off his shirt, he actually got to feel the coldness of the room. He hugged himself, barely able to get his boxers off without freezing. Once he finally did however, Baker waddled over to the bath, dipping his foot in. Harley was right about one thing.
It was definitely warm. A little too warm. Baker made sure not to make a sound. It seemed like the water filled up half of the bathtub, the crystal bubbles filling up the other half. With a deep breath sat down in the water, the bubbles going up to his neck. Most, if not all of his body was hidden by the bubbles.
He didn't know why he hadn't stopped Harley from doing this. Harley was going to be in the bathroom with him, doing whatever. Baker was naked. If Yoshi was here right now, he would have squealed. Realization of this situation finally hit him. He heard a light knock on the door. "Are you ok?" Harley asked nicely.
He was so kind to him, Baker should accept his kindness, right? This wasn't him just wanting to have Harley near him, right? But, Baker wanted to have Harley near him. He wanted Harley to hold him, and hug him, and- "Oh, uh you can come in." Baker yelled weakly. He felt like a baby chick needing his mother. But instead of his mother, it was Harley. Baker peeked through the bubbles as Harley opened the door.
Harley shut the door behind him, making sure to grab the bath bombs before walking over to the bath. He kneeled beside it, opening the case once again. "Hold your hand out." Harley instructed, grabbing one of the spheres. Baker quietly did as he was told, his hands foamy and wet from the water. Harley placed a dry bath bomb into Baker's hand. "The sales lady told me that they work better with other bubbles. And once it's done, don't rub your eyes until you dry them, ok?" Harley warned, leaning his elbows on the wall.
Baker lightly nodded. He gently lifted the already foaming ball to his nose, smelling the fruity bath bomb, a sweet and milky edge to it. It gave him nostalgia, yet he didn't know what. Baker dropped it into the water, hearing a fizzing sound as the white bomb started to turn into suds. The bath water around him started to turn white, before another layer was revealed. A gold, sparkly layer fizz, becoming a pastel gold from the gold and white mixing. Baker tilted his head to the side. Even if there were no bubbles, the vibrant colors made the water opaque.
There was something in the bath bomb. Baker grabbed what was remaining of the bath bomb, taking it out of the water. The sounds of fizzing continued to erupt as he rubbed away the excess powder. A flower slowly bloomed in his hand, the boy eager to uncover it. Once he saw the delicate white flowers, he gasped.
"Chamomile."
Harley nodded lightly, smiling. "You smell like one every day when you walk into class. So when I walked by, they reminded me of you." Chamomile, his favorite flowers. He had first fallen in love when his mother made a small flower crown with Chamomile as the main colors. The scent, tea, color, everything. It was his favorite. Baker held the flower like he was going to drop it. The stem had been cut off so it can fit in the bath bomb, but Baker didn't mind.
Baker silently smiled, holding the flower up to his chest. "Keep it. We'll decorate it." Harley said, reaching back for something. Baker nodded lightly. He kept it lightly in his hand. Harley cupped his hand before dipping it into the water. He lightly poured the water in his hand on Baker's head, making sure to cover the sick boy's face. His hair darken from the moisture, sticking to his forehead.
Baker looked up at Harley confused, before realizing what he was doing. Baker laid back slightly, feeling Harley adjust himself slightly. He felt Harley's hands in his hair once again, this time lathering the shampoo on. "Thank you.." Baker mumbled, his eyes shutting at the feeling. Harley only hummed, quietly massaging Baker's head. The blond's eyes slowly shut, the feeling of Harley twirling his hands through Baker's hair calming. "Relax. Go to sleep, I got this." He said helpfully.
And that's exactly what Baker did.
