At the sight of his protruded fangs, her heart stilled, every inch of her body wrapped in that all-consuming fear that had if only for a second enveloped her when she had realized his weakness. Blood. The man craved blood- not to please his olfactory senses but to satiate the hunger of the beast that she had often overlooked he was.
She gulped, her eyes immediately darting towards the space behind him. Anywhere is good. She had to think of an escape plan if he was to lose control. Her gaze fell upon the huge open doors that she had forgotten about. Her heart flooded with relief.
At least she won't be trapped. She might not be able to outrun him given how fast his limbs moved, but she could definitely try or maybe call for help. The king huffed, a corner of his mouth pulled up into a knowing smirk.
"Don't even think about it." He warned, narrowing his eyes against her.
