Chapter 15 - Chapter Fifteen

"Father, can I have this book?" Alora walked down the stairs showing him the book she had seen earlier.

Ruger's eyes caught sight of the white book with golden inscriptions in Alora's hands. "That isn't written in English. It is written in an ancient language….." Ruger stopped and walked towards her, collecting the book and opening the first page, he compared the language with the one on the scroll and it matched.

"I can read the language. I don't know the history of the language but it is part of the languages I naturally know. I understand all languages though." Alora grinned and the four Lords looked at her. For a second she thought they looked at her like a blessing that just descended from nowhere.

"Can you read this Alora?" Ruger gave her the scroll and she looked at him before facing the scroll to read it.

"Ruger, Dean, Diego, Aero, I wonder how it would be when I add your kingdom to my collections. I love the sight of things there and I can't help but want to make it mine. Expect me very soon, Radolph." Alora read out and the four of them looked at themselves.

"Is that all?" Ruger asked and Alora nodded. "Thank you."

Alora nodded and collected the book from him. "I guess I can have this now right?" Alora grinned and Ruger chuckled.

"Yes. But once you're done reading it, tell me what is in it." Ruger ordered and she nodded before walking out of the study.

"She really has lots of talents. Now I'm starting to doubt if she really isn't a witch. Only witches can do this much together. She can heal and now knows all languages?" Aero was left there speechless.

"Well her gifts have been of great use these days. We will have to worry about that later and face the bigger problem we have in our hands." Ruger sighed.

"You want to join forces with other kingdoms? Have you even thought about how you're going to convince them to accept your proposal?" Dean sighed.

"Well, all the allies we can get, we will gather." Ruger sat down, turning to look at the map of the whole continent that was pasted on the wall.

"We can't possibly bring them down like that. I totally thought you had a way to bring together all the kingdoms for real and now you're saying this?" Dean sighed and Ruger just looked at him with the look he knew too well.

Alora walked to her room reading the book with her. To her surprise she had two uninvited guests in her room who were busy chatting away.

"Well you two really need invitations before entering my room." Alora sighed before sitting at her reading nook, eyes focused on the book she was reading. "You two would really make a good couple."

"Well I was also thinking about that." Zayen replied and she just groaned.

"You two do whatever you want to do. On the balcony of course. Or never mind, I'll just go there." Alora stood up and walked to the balcony, closing the door behind her, finally shutting out the talking couples inside her room.

Quite a time passed, and Alora didn't register how long she had used outside but she was reading the book all day. After hours of being quiet, Zayen's voice pulled her out of her thoughts.

"Alora, father asked me to tell you to prepare for our journey to the neighbouring kingdom. We are going there for a ball. Well it's going to be your first ball outside Arran." Zayen smiled and she nodded, closing the book with her. "Come down for dinner will you?"

They both walked down for dinner and she returned after. She decided to read again for a while but she couldn't. She walked to the balcony and looked up at the moon. She was sure in a day or two, the moon would be full.

The following day…..

Ruger, Zayen and Alora set out for Ophyrium around just after breakfast. The other Lords had already gone and would get to their destination in no time.

"It is going to be your first ball outside the kingdom. Aren't you excited?" Zayen asked his sister who had her face buried in the book she was reading.

"Yes I am." Alora replied, not tearing her gaze off the pages of the book she was reading.

"Alora, what's the book about?" Ruger asked and Alora looked up at him.

"Well it talks about werewolves. It has details on Evey single thing that had happened in the werewolf history from the day one they were created on the earth." Alora explained closing the book with her.

"Where is the book?" Ruger asked.

"I decided not to bring it along to avoid unnecessary questions from people asking me how I know a language like that. Or was it a bad idea?" Alora asked.

"Well you did well because no one can read that language because it has been out of use for millions of years. If not over millions of years."
