Two days later...
Alora finally came around and Arielle and Ava who has been by her side since all these days couldn't help but sigh a sigh of relief. Although Alora's face still looked pale, they appreciated the fact that she was alive and awake.
"Alora can you hear me?" Arielle asked as she helped Alora sit up. Alora nodded and pointed at the glass of water.
Ava quickly passed her the water and se drank it slowly before coughing slightly. "What happened?" Alora's voice came out as a whisper but Arielle could make out what she was asking about.
"You've been out for two days. We found you on the floor laying in your pool of blood. What happened?" Arielle asked her as she removed the strands of hair clinging to her face.
"I don't know. I just woke up from a nightmare and I wanted to drink water. I didn't really know what happened after then because I seemed to be fighting to stay conscious." Alora said with her voice a bit above a whisper.
"I'm glad you're alright now. You should eat right now to strengthen yourself okay?" Arielle said and two maids walked in with trays of food. Arielle served Alora and started to feed her the food.
The duo stayed by Alora's bed till it was sunset. Alora was worried about the werewolf she left down in the house already. Sh knew there was no way they would allow her out of the room unless the two had fallen asleep.
It took a while before they fell asleep though and Alora used that chance to slip out of the room with some herbs with her. She still felt weak while walking but she knew if her herbs went back to working for her, she would be fine.
As soon as she entered the room she had kept the werewolf, she saw it curled up under the blanket. She walked towards it and stroke it's black fur making it open its eyes.
"You look pretty better than the last time I saw you." She smiled as she fed it with the meats she had branched the kitchen to get for it. "I've been sick too. I just woke up few hours ago. Oh, looks like your wounds are healing faster than I had predicted. Well, that is assuring me that you would be better in a week or two."
The werewolf seemed to be looking at her as of to study her or something was different about her. Although it was still weak, it still fought to look at her till she left his place which he did successfully.
Few days passed and Alora was much better. The Lords had welcomed the generals of the kingdoms that were going to help them plan the stopping of the war. The palace was filled like there was a large party going on but they were all just visitors of about thirty kingdoms.
"Now I'm really wondering if we aren't going to die in the kitchen." Ava dragged herself behind Alora who stood on the stairs looking down at the generals who were busy drinking in the lounge that wasn't far from Ruger's study. "We have been preparing for dinner since we finished serving lunch. We would be cooking different delicacies because of the people from different kingdoms. I'm surprised that I'm still alive at the moment."
Alora chuckled at her best friend's last sentence. "Zayen asked me to call you once I can see you so go meet him and kill his boredom. I'm going to father's study."
"Okay then. Be careful." Ava smiled and happily walked away. Alora walked down the stairs gaining the general's attention with her soft and mild fragrant that spread across the room immediately.
"Greetings to you first lady." They all chorused and she curtsied.
"I hope you're enjoying your stay with us here." Alora smiled sweetly at them and they replied affirmatively before she walked towards Ruger's study.
"Father?" Alora called as she stepped into the study. He and the other Lords were discussing as usual.
"Yes Alora?" He looked at her searching if anything was wrong with her.
"Well I came to see you. Alora walked forward and sat between Dean and Diego who sat before Ruger.
"What is it sweetheart?" Ruger asked.
"Father I want to learn about the business in Arran. I've read all the books on business but it looks like the most interesting duty in the kingdom and I like it."
"You choose the right affairs Alora. I would guide you down the path of the business in Arran." Diego chuckled and Alora smiled at him.
"Why business Alora? You should do welfare instead. It is going to be much easier for you to do than other things. Business is a very complicated aspect." Ruger sighed but the girl looked at him with a pout. "Well then, if that's what you want, you can have it. Diego would start taking you with him if he wants to check on business things."
"Well, how about tomorrow little one? I'm going to the village to see how business is going there." Diego said and Alora nodded, earning herself a pat on the head. "Good. We'll be leaving immediately after breakfast."
