Chapter 11 - Chapter Eleven

As Ira said, Alora's lessons in how to become a proper lady started the following day. Alora had known Ira would be a strict teacher since the first day she saw her. The lady was extremely proud and cold. Not showing any sign she was related to any of the Lords because they seemed nicer than she was.

"I'll start with telling you this Alora, I hate people who stress me. My life is simple and I hate stress." Ira said coldly waving the fan with her. "Today we'll start from maintaining your balance. As a lady, balance is one of the most important things you must know because it would always be useful no matter what."

By the time five hours of training passed, Alora was already exhausted. Although she was a fast learner, which impressed Ira, the lady made sure things she taught stuck into her head before moving to another thing.

"Well, that's a wrap for today. I'm quite impressed that you've gotten this far within a day. If you continue like this, you should be able to finish this in a few weeks." Ira commended as they both walked out of the hall used for their training.

"Thank you my lady." Alora thanked and Ira just hummed before leading her down to the dining hall where everyone was seated for dinner.

"Alora, how were classes today?" Ruger asked as she sat on her usual seat.

"Fine thank you father." She replied with a smile and he just nodded.

"Ira I hope you are not going hard on her. You know she isn't used to this yet." Dean replied leisurely.

"Young lady quite impressed me. She is a fast learner and didn't give me any problems at all." Ira replied as she chewed her food.

"That's nice Alora. Keep up the good work." Diego smiled at her.

"Yes Uncle." She replied.

"Well, you're lucky Alora. Aunt is a very strict person and hardly commends someone. Today I'm starting to think the sun rose on the west side." Zayen said to Alora as if Ira wasn't there at all.

"Zayen." Ira shot him a deadly glare and he just chuckled.

"What? Isn't it the truth?" He teased and Ira just sighed.

Few days passed and Alora progressed with her lessons each day.

"Well now that we've gone this far, you'll have to learn about other kingdom's cultures. You can learn about them before classes. You'll find useful books in your father's study. But you should be careful when you go there because he's usually busy." Ira warned before walking out of the hall.

Alora slowly and quietly walked back to her room like she was calculating something. "Are you okay?" Ruger's voice pulled her back to reality.

"Oh….father. Yes I am fine. Were you looking for me?" She asked as she opened the door to her room for him to enter.

"Yes I was. I just wanted to check up on you." He smiled, patting her head gently. "Is there anything you need? You look down a bit."

"Uh...father…. Can I see my mother? I've missed her and haven't seen her since I got here." Alora asked and he smiled before nodding.

"I'll ask the guards to take you to her. But you must be back immediately after sunset okay?" Ruger said and she nodded with her eyes brimming with happiness.

"Thank you so much father." She said happily and he nodded before leaving the room.

The maids quickly prepared a bath for her and dressed her in a casual gown before she walked out to go meet her mother.

They sent a message to Arielle already, to inform her that her daughter was coming over to visit her. Immediately her carriage stopped in front of the cruck, Arielle rushed out to meet her daughter whom she had missed a lot

"Mother." Alora ran into her mother's waiting arms and enveloped her in a tight and loving hug. "Mother. I missed you."

"How are you doing my little lady?" Arielle pinched her cheeks and she smiled.

"I am fine mother. I've missed you a lot." Alora wiped the tear that escaped her eyes and smiled.

"I missed you too sweetheart. You don't know how happy I was when I heard you were coming. The first Lord actually let you come despite the rules?" Arielle asked and Alora nodded. "Come on in."

"I brought gifts for you all. It might not be much but it's better than nothing." Alora informed as the guards started bringing out all the gifts in the two carriage that came behind here.

"Wow. You shouldn't have done this much Alora." Arielle sighed.

"I'm the first lady now, mother. I'm just doing what she would have done." Alora smiled as some maids walked into the cruck with the gifts brought personally for Arielle.

After a long time with her mother and receiving thanks from the peasants that had been told about the gifts she brought for them, Alora returned to the palace quite exhausted.

She really was liking life as a lady but she still couldn't help but miss her old life. Thinking about her old life to her looked like she was being ungrateful.

Ira had told her that after her lessons, she's going to start some minor things that the former first lady usually does like visiting the orphanage and things like that which she couldn't help but look forward to.
