Standing in front of the entrance she watched several passengers come out with their luggages. It wasn't until the twentieth passenger had passed through that Mei had caught the sight of her client. As he walked out she made eye contact with him and walked over towards the end path where they could meet.
When he reached her Mei passed him the compressed baggage of clothing that she had gotten for him.A black mask covered his face and his overall clothing style was also very casual and low-key. She noticed how he wasn't carrying anything but a small waist bag that probably held his important travel documents and silently nodded in approval.
When she passed the compressed bag of clothes over to the man she made it as though she had bumped into the man. As the man held her in place to keep her from falling, Mei took the chance to whisper to him.
"10 mins. B1 parking lot."
Mei leaned back from the unexpected bump and her client who had miraculously "caught" her from falling retracted his hands.
Mei stepped back from the man. "I'm really sorry sir."
"It's alright." The man replied back before turning around to leave with the bag of compressed clothes secretly hidden with the flaps of his open jacket.
When her client left, Mei also left the place after taking a final glance around the area. Going outside she hopped on her motorbike and left the terminal and made her way towards the parking lot. She was quite early but that didn't stop her.
Parking her motorcycle on the side she got off and opened the storage compartment once again and took out the note that she had gotten back inside the convenience store along with the can of Tea Joy.
She didn't have time to open the note when her motorbike was delivered to her in front of the train station along with a call from her friend and comrade, L.
Now that she had a few minutes to spare while waiting for her client to come over, Mei decided to read the note and test out the Tea Joy that she was given. She really wanted to know if it was really this item she was looking for or perhaps a scam?
A cold glint passed through her brown eyes as she stared at the folded note in her left hand and the can of Tea Joy on her right. Placing down the can on top of the seat of the motorbike, Mei leaned on the bike and casually opened up the note. Her eyes were fathomless as she stared at the note.
The contents of the note was one she was not expecting.
When she finished reading the note, she couldn't help but feel a shiver run down her spine. She was expecting the person to be someone who has been stalking her or perhaps a spy or trader from one of her enemies who wanted her on their side but she never thought…
'He's here too?'
Mei let out a harsh breath as she hurriedly crumpled up the piece of note. She really couldn't control her anger for a moment. She made a sharp turn towards her right and grabbed the can of Tea Joy upon impulse and was about to throw it into a pillar in front of her when it dawned on her.
This could be her only hope.
This could be the only way for her to receive the 'item.'
Before she threw it out she needed to know if it was what she needed or something that 'he' had mustered up in an attempt to gain her attention.
Mei brought the can of Tea Joy in front of her and stared at her as though staring at a great enemy for a good two minutes before she adjusted her seating and opened the can.
She recalled the scent that she had perceived back inside the store and to her surprise the scent coming from inside the can was very genuine and more stronger than the faint smell she had gotten inside the store. As she took in another whiff of the scent a smile formed on her lips.
'This is it.'
The scent was exactly the same!
She has finally found the item!
If she threw it out and missed this rare opportunity, who knew how long she would have to wait until she found a reliable source! Traces of joy seemed to have seeped through her eyes as they seemed gentler than before. Her upturned eyes that were always sharp as a hostile cat turned tame and gentle. It was a mesmerizing sight. Too bad no one was there to catch it.
Mei lifted the can to her lips after taking off her helmet and took a cautious sip. A pang of sweetness and coolness seemed to have invaded her taste buds as it ran down her throat. Seemingly addicted to the taste that she had been craving for the past two years since her arrival in the country of Casnus found within the continent of Jaiqilan, Mei let out a soft sound. It was a low hum but it sounded more like the purring of a satisfied cat.
Mei glanced at the time on her phone and realized that her client should be back within five minutes. She quickly gulped down the Lemongrass Bliss that was disguised as a can of Tea Joy. Though her actions were a bit rushed, Mei couldn't slow down! The sweetness that she found within this drink was one that she hadn't found in anything within the two years that she has been here!
Even the supposedly sweet lollipop that she had in her mouth on her way to the train station earlier on was not sweet. In fact it was bitter. Very bitter! Like a bitter gourd! Blegh!
With elegance and a hint of craziness, Mei finished the entire can of Lemongrass Bliss. As she finished she felt her body reminisce the sweetness of the Lemongrass Bliss. Her eyes slowly turned red as the desire to have more burned through her mind.
While she fighted the urge to go berserk in her search for something sweet, or perhaps even the Lemongrass Bliss, Mei caught a black figure walking towards her direction.
