"Hop in,"
I frowned when he cheekily kneeled before me. The expanse of his back serving in front of me.
"Am I supposed to kick it for the people you talked to?"
"Is that the attitude the human world taught you?"
He tilted his head at me with a look that is again screaming another vexing phrase.
"Or perhaps… it is because you are related to me-"
I wrathfully jumped on his back and tightened my arms on his neck, hoping a strangle. He choked and I punched him hard on the back, passionately and with an ulterior motive.
"Is this perhaps how frail your kind is-"
Which I immediately regret when he sprinted, leaving my body out of soul!
"I was just joking!" for the very first time I literally screamed at the top of my lungs when after a minute we are in front of an active twin endangering waterfalls, bumping its center water as if we have tougher bodies than its pressure.
I was hardly slapped, and I couldn't believe I am for the first time, got awarded by it, in the middle of it all. After all the years of the bitch-warnings I have achieved in school, here I am breathless and smashed at the same time. In my most unimaginable situation!
I inhaled hard when we are out of it, searching for air.
My captor frowned when his sight darted at my cheeks.
"Didn't I tell you to inhale wild outside?"
"I really can't believe you…" I said before noticing all of where we are at.
I gasped when in one turn of my body, another unbelievable scene is bombed at me.
We are in a space behind twin waterfalls and just in front of us is another twin falls but more majestic one. It was not all white, it is spitting colorful green and blue. And in the space between us is a lagoon with unique floating pale purple flowers lined beautifully on the whole of its sides. Its flowing water is the most transparent I have ever seen, giving me its inside view that is screaming pristine sterility.
And couldn't be disturbed even when Damien dived at it.
Popping out of the water, he was all smiles as if on a tease. He raked his now-wet hair and I grimaced at his currently-all-wet clothes.
"What's the matter? Are you afraid of water? Aren't you a swimmer?"
He knows I can swim?
No one knows that... cause there was no pool or bodies of water that surrounds Caressa so I can't really showcase them it.
"Why did you take me here?" I critically asked.
His expression hardened at my imperative tone. "You love nature. They said so. And I knew"
I sighed as I near him. "Aren't you tired of declaring those? I am not her, Damien,"
He snorted. "You frankly really sound so sure stating me that-"
"Because this is how I know myself! I am a human. I couldn't leap from branches to the sky. I am a coward of heights, unlike your kind who are suckers of it! And I do not have fangs! And is not as livid as you all are!"
I even opened my mouth wide for him to see that I am not at all bearing fangs.
He glared at me grimly that I had to shut my lips back.
"And also..." I gently pleaded. "I don't feel tempted by human blood and never even in my wildest dreams have I dreamed of sipping such. I am not a vampire. I am not her friend. And I am not your lost sister. So I beg you-"
He tilted his head at me. "And what do you term your eyesight? Can that kid see like yours as well? How about you grandma? Can she see moving vampires under the lit of gloom moonlight so perfectly like you did in that forest? Or your father... does he hear very well the bullying and banters of those ugly bitches your school has?" he stopped talking and gave me his bloodshot eyes.
"Tell me you do not have all of that and I'll then stop wasting my time on you."
"I don't," I lied. "Your kind can never be my family. This can't be my home. And you can't... definitely be... the brother for me." I shook to the core when I realized the change in his expression. My eyes watered as I saw his heated eyes.
"Forgive me, but I am not who you are all looking for." I croaked. "This is not the way I want my life to be,"
He stiffly nodded, gulping the long banters he is so ready to viciously spit me.
"Tell that to our parents then."
"W-what... what do you mean?"
Still visibly torn and enraged, he offered me his hand.
I stepped back and he shot me his most sore eyes.
"This isn't supposed to be the right time for this, but hell..." he cursed in a coarse voice. "I am hearing too much from you,"
"The are not my-"
"And now apart from me, you are denying our parents? How ungrateful can you actually be?!" he glowered in gritted teeth.
I must felt fear in his expressions and mad form, so I don't know why there is a greater force pushing me to tend to him. And to console him...
Why must I feel those emotions for a strange and vicious creature who is threatening the course of my life?
As I withdrew on his gaze, I closed my eyes and jumped into the foreign falls despite the terror of being cursed and the danger of probable death. And I was shocked when while inside it I felt all the liberating sensations celebrating inside me and not at all a tinge of uncertainty or anxiety.
I breathed on the surface and in fearlessness, I took the vampire's hand.
His eyes illuminated intense redness and all my energy vanished in taut air.
"Now, remember us fully." he chimed.
