"Oh, how come I didn't know about it?" asked Tang Moyu and before Feng Shufen could speak any further, he was called by a certain doctor and he went to see what it was about.
Leaving the two of them behind, Tang Moyu faced Tang Ning and said, "Wow, I can't believe that you two met."
"It is not what you think," she said. "I can't believe that you're this hypocritical. We talked about this," she stated. "I clearly remember and I didn't intend to meet him," she said and Tang Moyu walked away.
She sighed and walked away to take a seat.
Coming back, Feng Shufen realized that the sisters had separated and took opposite seats then walked to Tang Ning and asked," Is everything okay between you two?" "Yes. It's nothing serious," she replied.
"Okay. Everything has been prepared and the surgery is going to start," he informed. "Thank you so much Feng Shufen. I will be sure to pay you one day when I get the money."
"You don't have to worry about that. Right now, we should focus on his health." "Thank you again. How long will the surgery take?" "Three hours at most."
When he left, she remained there until Daiyu came. "I'm sorry for coming late. You know how busy this hospital can be," she said before asking," How is he?"
"He's going for the surgery," she answered.
"What is wrong with her?" she asked and Tang Ning followed her line of sight to see Tang Moyu who was glaring at them. "Well, she found out that I met with Feng Shufen," she replied. "Didn't you tell her the circumstances?" she asked. "It all ended in vain."
"She's so dramatic," said Daiyu who had engaged in a glaring competition with Tang Moyu who had seated opposite them. "Not now please," said Tang Ning and Daiyu broke her gaze before getting up and she said," I will go. I have three patients assigned to me but I will try to sneak back here." "Alright. Thanks for being here." "Always."
Tang Moyu kept glaring at her and she decided to just ignore her.
A while later, they brought a document which Tang Ning signed before they could start the surgery.
They waited for nearly four hours until the doctor informed them that the surgery was a success, and that the patient was still under observation. Feeling glad, Tang Ning asked her sister if she wanted to go with her to the cafeteria so that they could get something to eat but she ignored her, and Tang Ning went alone.
"You really gave us a scare," Tang Ning told her father. "I'm sorry about that," he replied, laying on the bed. "You don't have to say that father. You know that you're never a bother to me." "When am I leaving this place? I want to go back home." "It will take some days. You are still under observation," she informed.
When Tang Moyu entered, Tang Ning excused herself and she walked outside to let them speak.
As she was still taking a stroll in the hospital, she remembered that her boss told her to inform him of what happens.
She got her phone then called and waited for him to pick up. At the fourth ring, he picked up. "Mr Jing Yue?" she asked. "Hmm." "This is Tang Ning. I hope I didn't disturb you from your work." "Not at all," he replied. "Alright. I just called to inform you that the surgery was done. And it was a success,"she informed.
"That is good. Do you have everything you need over there?" he asked. "Yes. You shouldn't bother yourself with me. Uh.. I also want to thank you for giving me a shoulder to cry on earlier," she said. "It's fine. Don't forget to tell me if at all you need anything," he said and when the call ended, a small smile broke on her lips. "Whom are you thinking about?" she was startled by her friend. "N-no one. I was just on phone," she replied. "Speaking to who in particular?" she asked.
"I was informing my boss about the situation here."
"Ohh, so your boss brought that sweet smile on your face," she teased. "Don't start Daiyu. Are you leaving already?" she asked seeing that she had changed out of her uniform. "Yes. I would have loved to stay here with you but my parents called me home," she informed.
"What do they want from you?" she asked. "Who knows? It's what I'm yet to find out," she said. "You're sleeping over there?" she asked. "Yes." "Alright then. I wish you a safe journey and send them my greetings," she said. "Okay bye," she said before leaving. Afterwards, Tang Ning decided to go back to the room.
Seeing that her father was sleeping, she walked to Tang Moyu who was on her phone.
"Moyu, let us talk," she said sitting next to her.
"Talk about what? You and I don't have anything to talk about," she said. "Of course we do. Meeting with Feng Shufen was a mistake. We had planned to hang out with Daiyu and I had no idea that he was going to tag along, I swear." "You're such a hypocrite," she said and Tang Ning realized that she wasn't going to believe her however much she explained.
"But what happened between us Moyu? Why did you suddenly hate me?" she asked. "Can you just not pretend that you are a saint? We both know you're not. You've always been this sly and cunning but I have seen past your facade." "Why do you say all that? Is it because of a man? I don't even have feelings for him anymore," she said. "Do you expect me to believe a word you say after this?"
Before they could talk any further, the door was opened and a nurse came in followed by someone. She stood up immediately on seeing him and she said," Mr Jing Yue!"
"I will take my leave," informed the nurse and he left. "Uh, your welcome Mr Jing Yue," said Tang Ning approaching him.
"Thank you," he replied handing her the things he had brought. "No. Thank you for these," she replied. She hadn't expected him to come here. They were just from talking several minutes ago.
Tang Moyu on seeing the man she very well knew stood up wondering what he was doing here and how they knew each other with her sister.
"This is my elder sister, Tang Moyu," she introduced and Jing Yue looked at her.
She looked at her sister and said," This is Mr Jing Yue, my boss."
