The following day in the afternoon, little Huan informed that she wanted to eat ice cream and Tang Ning decided that they go to the mall and buy it. Asking Juan if he wanted to tag along, he said that he preferred staying home playing video games.
When they reached the mall, Tang Ning gripped the little one's hand and said," Don't get away from me okay?"
When she nodded, they made way inside and Tang Ning decided to first buy some personal things before the ice cream.
When she was done, she looked at Huan and asked," Do you need anything for yourself other than ice cream?" She shook her head before replying," Aunt FeiFei gave us a lot of gifts." As she started walking while she held her hand, Huan suddenly stopped and she said," Auntie Ning, I want to get my daddy his favorite cake." "Which is that?" she asked.
"Lemon yogurt cake," she replied.
"Alright. Let's go to the confectionery," she informed and they walked to the place.
After getting the cake, little Huan said," Pretty auntie, let's take it to daddy's work place."
"Your daddy's work place?" she asked. "Yes." She gave it a thought before saying," No little Huan. He will find it home." "But I want to take it to him," she insisted. "It will be the same thing if he finds it home." "I also want to visit him at work. It has been so long ever since I went to daddy's job. Pretty please," she said and Tang Ning sighed. She was dressed in her usual sweater pants which she thought were not suitable to go to such a place. "Do we really have to go there?" she asked. "Yes I really want to. Please say yes pretty auntie," she said and Tang Ning sighed again.
"Okay let's buy your ice cream and we go then," she said getting hold of her hand and they walked away.
After buying the ice cream, they were walking out of the mall when Little Huan caught sight of a man who dropped his kerchief.
"Tall uncle!" she called and Tang Ning looked at her wondering who she was referring to.
"What is it?" Tang Ning asked her. "The other tall uncle has dropped his handkerchief," she said pointing in the direction. Looking over, Tang Ning's eyes caught sight of none other than Feng Shufen. Before she could look away, he saw her and the moment he got out of his shock, he approached her immediately.
"Tang Ning! Oh my God, I finally found you!" he exclaimed. "Tall uncle, you dropped your handkerchief. It is not good to be careless with your things," little Huan said and his eyes lowered to look at the beautiful baby girl. He smiled at her and asked," What is your name gorgeous?" She smiled back at him and said," My daddy told me not to talk to strangers." "He's right. I'm called Feng Shufen," he told her before adding," And thank you for telling me about my handkerchief." "You're welcome," she replied and he looked at Tang Ning.
"Thank heavens I found you. You have no idea how much I looked for you," he said before asking," Who is she?" "She is little Huan. She is... my daughter," she mentioned abruptly and the little girl looked at her nanny questioningly.
Feng Shufen couldn't believe it. He looked at Tang Ning and then at the little girl back and forth before saying," Get serious Tang Ning."
"I am serious. She is my daughter and she is four years old," she added. "Why? How?" he asked. "I don't owe you any explanation. You and I didn't have anything and so I had to move on with my life," she informed holding the little one's shoulders. "Who's the father?" he whispered. "He's there," she replied. "So, you're married now," he said. "Yes almost. I have to get going. Please have a nice day," she said before getting hold of the girl's hand and they walked away. Feng Shufen remained looking at them until they disappeared from his sight.
Getting to the car, Tang Ning was silent. She hadn't expected their first meeting to be this way. He was the only boy she has ever got feelings for until now. She noticed that as Daiyu said, he was more handsome now. He must be having a trail of women on his back, she thought. "Auntie Ning, are you mad at me? Did I do something wrong?" asked the little one.
"No little Huan. Why would you think like that?" she asked. "Because you have been silent for a long time. Is it because I asked to go to Daddy's job? We can go home if you don't want to," she said.
"Of course I'm not mad. How can I be? I am just thinking about some things," she replied as she made her sit on her lap.
Several minutes later, the chauffeur announced that they were at Jing Conglomerate. Tang Ning gazed at the skyscraper and she couldn't help but get awed. She always had a dream of graduating and get a job in such a mighty company but she didn't get a chance to complete her studies. Their father had grown weak in health yet he was the one who used to cater for their education. The job she had gotten wasn't paying much and there's no way she could get any further with her education.
When they reached the reception, almost all the employees were happy to see little Huan and they asked for the other twin.
Reaching the CEO'S office, they were told that he was still in a meeting and that they had to wait for him. Thinking about it, Tang Ning wondered if it was a mistake coming without informing him first. She just hoped that he wouldn't get upset.
As they sat outside waiting for him, the CEO'S secretary came to them and said," Let me lead you to the President's office. He will find you there."
"We are fine here," informed Tang Ning. "He might not like it if he finds her waiting here outside," she said referring to his daughter and Tang Ning nodded in understanding before getting up.
