SELENE
I sighed while flipping the pancakes I was frying on the pan before I went over the dish rack to take yet another plate to place the pancakes unto while Shannie is making coffees, waiting for Axiesse, Ruka, Mindy and Michael to wake up.
"Here, Selie." Shannie said, giving me a cup of white coffee. I'm not really a coffee person since I prefer chocolate drinks or tea, because of my mother, over it any day, so there's no reason for me to have any coffee in my apartment. Which is why me and Shannie both had to literally run to the nearest convenience store to buy some coffee.
"Thanks." I smiled and took a sip before I looked down to see the puppy eating some pancakes and drinking the milk on another one of the plastic bowls I placed on the ground for him to eat, I wanted to pat him but I was setting another pancake aside before I was eventually frying the last one and after I set the plate aside, guess who finally showed up?
"Ah, hangover is such a freakin' pain in the ass!" Axiesse exclaimed, rubbing her forehead to ease the pain.
"Good morning to you too, Axie." I joked, giving her a cup of coffee before I went back to the counter to put mapple syrup unto the pancakes I made earlier, deciding to have a little fun by teasing Axiesse while doing so, "Wouldn't drink, she said. Not even a shot, she said. Hangover is a pain, she said. Whose fault is it, then?"
"Shut up, Selie! I know it's my fault! Don't rub salt to my already aching wound!" She yelled, almost throwing her cup at me before she hissed as some of the hot coffee lightly burned her skin.
"Hey! I smell food!" Me and Shannie laughed, already guessing who the person running from the living room heading to the kitchen already is just by their excited footsteps, "The breakfast today is pancakes! I knew it!" Ruka said before she sat down as Shannie immediately gave her a cup of coffee.
"Selie, hurry up! I want my pancakes now!"
"Geez, are you seriously ordering me around at my own apartment? Aren't you the best guest ever?" I sarcastically remarked, finally finishing what I was doing and approaching the six-seated dining table and giving them each a plate with two pancakes with some berries on the side.
I just finished putting the plates on the table when Mindy and Michael finally decided to wake up and show up, sitting down and starting to eat.
Wow, they're all so comfortable in my apartment, they always want to hang out here to lounge around whenever they can that it's starting to feel like they live here. I shook my head with a smile before I joined them on the table and we happily ate our breakfast and drank coffee. It took quite a while since we were all just talking to each other and laughing about something one of us said and some of our hilarious mistakes and embarrassing moments, the usual topics a group of friends would talk about while eating together.
Seeing them all happy and laughing is one of the best, moments like this are one of those which I wish would never end. Moments like this makes me want to be able to live forever but some things would surely end. Because in this world, nothing is permanent, right? Everything will eventually come to an end.
Wait, why am I suddenly thinking like this? I can be deep when I least expect it.
After washing the dishes, yes, I washed the dishes we all used and in my apartment too, I dried my hands with a cloth before I went to the living room to see Ruka and Axiesse fighting over which movie to watch while Mindy, Michael and Shannie were watching the scene before us unfold. It seems that after taking a pill I gave her which helps reduce headaches and dizzyness that I got from Liz, Axiesse went back to her usual loud self rather quickly while Ruka seemed to have quickly recovered when she ate.
"Um, what exactly is going on here?" I asked despite knowing the answer. And the answer is chaos.
"Ruka and Ax here are fighting over which movie to watch." Shannie answered, pointing at the two movies in each of the two's hands.
"Romance films are the best!" Axiesse yelled, holding the movie up in the air.
"No! Comedy and Teen stuff is!" Ruka argued, also holding the movie she had in her hands up in the air.
Both kept on glaring at each other before turning to me, their mouths agape before turning to look at each other and nodding to each other.
Me being confused, I raised a brow at them but before I knew it, they were already running over to me, even knocking me down unto the floor, startling even the husky next to me before it started growling.
"Fluffy wuffy, I'm okay. Don't worry." I reassured and smiled at the puppy before turning to look at the two fools who were literally holding me down, it's like they want me and the floor to merge with each other, "What in the world of cheese sticks are both of you thinking!? Your excuse better be freaking good or I swear to everything that's unholy, I'll hit you both with a picture frame!" I yelled, completely out of character because I don't usually yell.
"S'rry! We were both, like, super excited!" Axiesse reasoned before giggling, "We just had a silent agreement!"
"Is that so-called 'silent agreement' something about the two of you practically jumping at me so that me and the floor would merge?"
"Not really, that was just a plus." Ruka said before standing up, pushing Axiesse away from me, making the latter yell at her before Ruka helped me up. Once I stood up, I immediately dusted my pajamas.
"We just kinda thought that since you love movies, series, animes and whatnot and since you literally own these cd's, you'd give us insights about which one to watch!" Axiesse beamed before also standing up, "I think she'd choose to watch this over that junk, Ruka!" She pointed out.
"Selie likes romance films revolving around a happy love life since she lacks one! So, she's going to want to watch this for sure!" Axiesse yelled, proudly holding up my Warm Bodies cd.
"Hey! What do you mean by 'since I lack one'!?" I questioned, offended by what she just said because I'm the only single one in the group, "So what if I don't have a boyfriend or a girlfriend!? I'm already receiving a lot of love already!"
"Well, because-" Axiesse started before she paused and all eyes in the room were on me, including the puppy, "Wait, 'a boyfriend or a girlfriend', you say? Selene, are you... Is there something you weren't telling us since you thought we might judge? Are you gay? Bi? Lesbian?"
"What? No! I was just open to the thought of being in a relationship with a girl or a boy because love is, um, well, love has no definite shape, size or appearance nor genders, does it!?" I pointed out while stuttering, "Also, there's nothing wrong with girls being in a relationship with other girls. Same with boys. I find those kinds of relationships to be cute." I honestly confessed but restrained myself from talking about how much I love BL and how much BL comics I own which I hide under my bed. Hey, a girl has secrets she must keep to maintain her image! Or... something like that. I don't want to risk my parents finding out about my secret too, also my older brothers, they might go barbaric but my older and younger sisters would surely support it.
"So..." Ruka started, making all of us turn to her.
"Selene's bi-curious."
"What the hell kind of statement is that!? And you said it so casually!? I'm as straight but not as flat as a freaking board!" I pointed out, hitting her head with a folded hand fan I picked up somewhere. Perks of being tall, "And if I wasn't straight then, I'd be Demisexual, or I might already be. Who knows?"
"Ow, that hurt!" She exclaimed, rubbing her head.
"Anyway, what's your argument?" I asked.
"Ha? Argument?"
"Yes, an argument. What do you have to say to defend the movie you want to watch?" I explained, making it clear that I've been enjoying that this has become a debate so far.
"Oh, well. Selie, you like watching comedies and you like it more when it involves teens and a decent storyline and characters!" She beamed before she turned to Axiesse, "Don't forget this, Ax, Selie is also the one who recommended this movie to me! We loved to watch it and we always watch it during weekends when we were all in highschool! Those are the good days!" Ruka explained, holding up my Mean Girls cd.
"Hmm, that's true." I said and nodded in agreement, "I vividly remember recommending you that film when we were watching the movie 'The Meg' a few years ago."
"See!? In your face, Ax! Haha, I won!"
"But Selie also likes Warm Bodies!"
"The one with the zombie main guy who caused you to drool, mouth agape while he was showering on one scene!?" Ruka asked, "Because if it is, I remember Selie saying she wished she took a picture of you drooling and sent it to our group chat, then maybe, other than a lot of our ugly stolen photos of yours, we'd have more pictures to use as bullets and potential blackmail stuff against you!"
"Shut up, Ruka! That's because the main guy is hot!"
"So is the main girl!"
"What?" Me and Shannie along with Mindy and Michael, who had been quiet the whole time, asked in unison at Ruka's last sentence.
"What? She's hot." Ruka said, standing her ground.
"I can't really blame you for appreciating attractive people." I started, "That's probably also why you appreciate me."
"I wanna slap you so bad right now, Selie. Your confidence is insane." Ruka said.
"Why, thank you, dear. I aim to please." I said, bowing as if I'm a princess and winking at her, "But still, I don't want to watch Mean Girls right now." I stated, causing Ruka to yell, "I'll just head upstairs to take a bath. I'm taking Fluffy with me, we'll take one together." I said before picking the puppy up and heading to the stairs, leaving the two to be saddened visibly.
"By the way," I stopped walking up the stairs halfway through to peak at them, seeing them, especially Ruka and Axiesse, stare at me intently, "I recommend watching the film 'Jennifer's Body', it's in that shelf. I loved that movie as a child up until now. There are slightly romantic scenes, a few bi-curious scenes, horror and comedic scenes too. Let's not forget the two hot main girls, Ruka." I said, emphasizing the word 'two' and winked at them before Ruka immediately went in search for the movie, making me laugh a bit before I decided to do what I wanted to do and quickly went up the stairs, heading to my room.
