Dreams have many meanings, often they are seen as messages from the Gods.

Night approached quickly, marking the end of the miserable day for the parent and child. Grey fell fast asleep that night, mentally and physically exhausted. However, that night he had a dream that would change his life.
It began with Grey in a dark room by himself, the only things in the room were a single candle and a wooden door. The dream felt like nothing he had ever experienced before, it was so realistic that he could feel the damp chill within the room. Realizing he was in an unknown area, he began to explore, prodding the door to see if it would upon. Fortunately, the door was not locked. Seeing his opportunity, Grey grabbed his candle and walked out of the room.
Upon leaving the room Grey was engulfed with a stagnant stench that made his eyes water. In front of the door were tens of hundreds of dead bodies piled up in a corridor. Grey could just barely make out the exit of the corridor. As Grey progressed towards the exit, he looked around at the bodies, curious to find out what happened to those poor souls. The bodies appeared to have been drained of their life, every corpse was an empty husk. Looking at the grotesque picture in front of him Grey's stomach began churning; he was not used to seeing death. Wanting to get out of the corridor, Grey began to sprint towards the exit.
Once at the exit Grey could hear screams of women, unsure of what awaited him Grey just stared at the door hoping the miserable dream would end. Grey's wish did not turn out to be true and he realized the only way to escape the nightmare was to keep progressing forward. Building up his confidence Grey took a couple deep breaths and then threw upon the door, ready to face what awaited him head on, however, what was inside took his breath away.
Past the door was a large room with only two doors, the one he entered and another more intricate looking door. There were no windows within the room, what was strange was the entire ceiling was made of glass. However, the strange room was not what took Grey's breath away, it was what was within the room.
Resting in the middle of the room was a woman, so gorgeous that Grey could not help but stare. She was around the same age as him, with shining blonde hair and golden eyes, nearly as bright as Grey's. Where Grey's shown with a joyous light, hers were quite sad. She did not appear to be in bad shape, a little on the skinny side but overall appearing healthy. Grey began to approach her, but before he could take more than a few steps there was a banging sound on the intricate door that Grey saw earlier. Grey looked quickly in that direction and saw a large man entering. The man was giving off a menacing aura, dressed completely in black with the emblem of a moon and sun etched onto his shirt. Slung across his shoulder was the body of an older man who appeared to be unconscious.
As soon as the large man entered the women began yelling, "Please no more, this isn't worth it, I just want to go home." The man approached her and calmly said "It's your fault for having such a high concentration of their blood, just be glad we kept you alive." The women did not speak any further and just stared at the large man with tears in his eyes. The man then said "Now that you are finished, let's begin the ritual."
