Grey awoke to birds chirping, a slight breeze flowing into his room. It was the day after the sparring session, Grey had been knocked out cold for nearly fourteen hours. Upon awakening, Grey realized just how hungry he was, and began to get up to search for food. However, he was barely able to sit up, pain spread out through his whole body. As if having a sixth sense about her son, Shelby suddenly appeared, slamming the door open. She appeared to be furious, she stormed into his room with a murderous look on her face.
She preceded to smack him as hard as she could, producing a loud clapping noise. Grey appeared shocked, he had no idea why his mother all of sudden hit him. Shelby said in a stern tone, "What were you thinking, you had barely healed, and then you decided to go and fight Christopher!" Grey could only helplessly stare at her, knowing he was wrong. He let his mother continue her rant until she finally calmed down. As she was about to end her rant, she became super serious and said "Grey, you know I am upset, however, we have more important issues to discuss. It's about the increase of light within your eyes, and what happened to your father" Grey, whose only parental figure he had ever known was Shelby was very interested in hearing this story. Shelby began by saying "This is not a happy story so be prepared, we will begin with your birth."
