It was once written that there was a being who could live off of life energy for days on end without the need for food or water.

Once the words ritual were spoken an eerie silence befall the room. Grey unsure of what was happening could only stand and stare at the gorgeous women and large man. The man slowly lowered the body he was carrying onto the ground, he then grabbed a beautiful decorated golden and black knife from his jacket. The knife emanated a strange otherworldly aura, seemingly distorting the air around it. Even though Grey did not have much world experience, he knew there was something off with the blade.
The man then proceeded to point at the gorgeous woman who had slowly moved to the farthest corner of the room. The man said "You know how this is done by now Nova, if you continue to put up resistance I will tell the guards to not feed you for a week." Nova did not say anything, however she stopped trying to retreat from the large man. Once seeing that Nova was no longer going to put up any resistance the man quickly walked over to her and grabbed her hand, pulling her towards the unconscious old man.
The large man then grabbed Nova's hand and placed it on top of the older man's hand. From there the large man took the intricate knife and plunged it into both of their hands. Nova did not let out a single word, only numbingly staring at the wound. The old man's body began to seize and convulse. Eventually a golden light began to emit from the knife, this light began to slowly flow across Nova's body until she was glowing, nearly as bright as the sun. This situation lasted for minutes until the light gradually began to dim, slowly fading into nothing.
Grey's attention was finally released from Nova allowing him to look towards the body of the old man. The body was strikingly similar to the bodies found in the hall, seemingly drained of life. After a little while Nova finally spoke up and said "Unless there is anything else you need Chevron, please leave my room." Chevron nodded and proceeded to grab the old man and toss him into the hall of dead bodies. Chevron began to make his way towards the door, however, before he left he spoke in a joyous tone saying "We are nearly done here Nova, so don't worry, eventually the world will return to the way it once was." Chevron then closed the door, leaving Nova and Grey by themselves in the room. Once he left, Nova started sobbing, rocking back and forth muttering, "Please end my life God, I don't want to be here anymore." Upon hearing these words Grey's heart broke, he began progressing towards her to try and comfort her. As soon as he was within a foot's distance away the dream began to shake and crumble. Grey, unable to do anything, just accepted his fate and waited to wake up.
Grey awoke to the pitch black darkness of his house. Everything seemed ordinary, he could even hear his mom snoring in the room next to him. However, Grey could not fall back asleep that night, his mind was flooded with questions regarding the strange Chevron and the beautiful Nova.
