Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Lyle vs Zilla sills!

July 7th, 2019...

Zilla sills broke into laughter as he watched some of the Trio's previous battles on Joetube, a site where anyone can post anything on, within the month the Gen-Oath team was established, each member has built up fame and a name, despite each member's identity having to be hidden, in case...

(Zilla Sills, A 39 year old pro fighter, working for one of the deadliest companies in the world, considered a young prodigy, he somehow won all of his matches, never lost, his win-lose ratio... 80/0 as of his previous match.)

All of this didn't stop the public from naming each member itself, though the names are inconsistent with each, due to differing opinions, of course.

"I desire to fight these three bastards, what are their names, Lance?" Zilla asked his manager, "They haven't released who they are yet, probably tryin' ta keep it a secret I guess." Lance answered and informed me.

"How do I fight these morons then if they aren't known by anything officially?" Zilla asked and pondered after hearing Lance's answer.

July 11th, 2019... early in the tight grasp of dawn, around 9:00 AM, the Trio wake up from a loud alarm on their custom clocks in their rooms.

"Help, mayday, Hey Trio, downtown needs your help right now! There's a 40 foot creature attacking the downtown district of Generil, alongside many other smaller creatures, WE NEED YOU TO HURRRY!" Police Chief Aaida ordered in distress and somewhat frightened.

Lyle, Artus and Ember had rushed out of bed their own way and got their armor and woke themselves up along the way.

Arriving to Generil's downtown district, the Trio came and saw a frightening sight, at least it would be to anyone who's not them, there was one 40 foot humanoid creature, tall and lanky, accompanied by an overabundance of other similar but smaller lanky humanoids tearing through the city.

The police, Generil's S.W.A.T were taking out the smaller creatures with some ease, yet the creature they feared the most was the tall and lanky one, Their bullets had literally no effect on him, they didn't even faze him.

He rampaged and crushed and bashed as he pleased with the lead they intended to be blasted in him, not even penetrating through him.

The Trio showed no fear, the Trio dropped no tears, Aaida flopped but was glad they made it here.

Lyle stood calmly, assessing the situation as the madness continued, the cops all shouted, the cops grew astounded, then they all realized all of a sudden they were surrounded.

Ember grew impatient, Ember stuck to her occupation and the next thing the cops all knew, Ember had saved them.

Ember flew, chopping off heads, civilian after civilian including some of the cops had fled, the monsters were too slow for Ember, suddenly they had become dead.

The monsters kept coming and jumping, there were too many to fight off hand to hand, so Artus had come to join the band.

Because the smaller ones were supremely weaker, Lyle told Artus to help out the bold and meager, while he and Ember fought off the larger boss using their advantages, mission being less use for bandages.

Having a strategy for the smaller creatures in mind while it played out, Lyle headed for their forty foot boss, insecure and undecided.

Lyle threw away the rifle on his back and charged the beast head on, before he could even touch the large creature, the creature smacked him away into a nearby building.

Lyle got off the ground, but heard and saw a small child in the back of a nearby truck, Ember zipped by and killed the monsters near the boy then ordered to Lyle, "Go and get the little boy, I'll distract the giant!" In a serious manner then actually attacked the giant monster, avoiding it's power with her pure speed.

Lyle rushed like his life was in danger, rushing off to save the life of a little stranger, he rushed as so to grab the child, then when he had gotten a hold of him, he continued to rush off the same, the child thought "How bold of them!" As they flew and he witnessed, it made way of molding him.

Lyle sat the child on a far away rooftop, where he assumed the giant creature wouldn't go, and the smaller creatures couldn't get atop of, but then Lyle paused when his thoughts froze him.

"The creature move slow in the speed category, however, the level he's on with strength exceeds that of speed, the creature also seemingly lacks intellect on par with his strength and speed, with his intellect below even his own speed, my ability to teleport should be my advantage over all three, all of these below even me, YES, THAT'S IT!" Lyle whispered out of what he speedily thought about.

"Mister purple, have you seen my parents around?" Asked the kid in a nervous, frightful tone, with a small frown.

Lyle froze for a moment, but then, he got out his coin from his pocket and grasped it tightly, he answered the kid "No, but I'll find your parents myself if I have to after this thing is taken down, don't worry, stay here for now." In a calm but determined tone.

Lyle took off and jumped from building to building in a hurry groaning, in a hurry to beat the giant beast, minimizing destruction in mind, determination forced him to go blind.

When Lyle arrived at where the creature threaded, watched Ember proving some of his evaluation correct, the creature couldn't hit Ember because she was simply too quick, however, her sword barely did anything to it, itself.

Lyle told Ember to help Artus, "You've got a plan I assume, Smokey tactician." Ember responded before she left to help her brother.

Lyle aimed with expert precision, aiming and launching his new dagger into the chest of the large creature, as the creature halted and roared from the pain when it threw, Lyle carried out his plan and took off in the direction of his blade.

His blade got stuck in the chest of the creature.

Lyle tackled down the creature, the large creature couldn't get up, Lyle grabbed out his knife but before he could get off, the large creature with one punch, knocked him away far.

Lyle and the creature both made it to their feet, angry at the other, Lyle saw his chance, launched his dagger once more, this time he aimed for the head.

The dagger got stuck in the creature's skull, stunning him in the process, Lyle used his teleportation and teleported onto the left shoulder of the creature and forced his dagger in deeper, eventually killing the giant monster.

Lyle joined his siblings in exterminating the rest, using his rifle and dagger then the Trio allowed Generil's police force to clear up the mess.

A few hours later, The Trio is on patrol through the streets, civilians praise the Trio as they patrol and shout their appreciation for them, however, one does not, he ran up in a different manner.

Grabbing their attention, the civilian called the Trio cowards and fools for not accepting an elite fighter's challenge, to which Ember replied "We had no knowledge of his challenge, you're the first person who brought this to our attention!" In an assertive tone.

The guy acted weird, the Trio thought, when he started rocking back and forth on his butt, laughing at her response, then after four minutes of oddness, he looked up and asked "So, does that mean you're gonna accept his challenge, toots?" In a completely changed attitude than before.

Ember gave the civilian a look that told she was annoyed and answered, "No, I'm a swordsman, from the sound of it, it seems this guy is interested in a hand to hand match, that's not my favorite area." In an annoyed tone.

"Wha bout chu, Big hot N chunky?" Asked the random civilian, referring to Artus, "Life is all about fun, but I personally think guns are fun, get it, Guns and funs?" Artus answered, laughing at his own joke, everyone else quiet.

The random civilian broke out in laughter at Artus' joke, then suddenly got serious when he asked "So, violet and Quiet, What about you then?" The civilian asked Lyle, "... No, I'm more of a knife fighter." Lyle answered the civilian.

The civilian seemingly got angry, before another Gen-Oath member made him turn in awe.

Lyle recognized the suit, but realized he never caught the man's name from before, "What's wrong, are you not brave enough or not loyal enough to accept Zilla's offer?" Kacey asked in a serious tone.

"Before you try to intimidate me like you did Livia back at the restaurant, I want to know your name, also, how would accepting Zilla's challenge prove me brave or loyal?" Lyle asked, maintaining his calm mood.

"My name is Kacey makya, I was assigned to the Gen-Oath squad in Alyi, the next city over." Kacey informed, "We all know that there's nothing that shows your loyalty and bravery more than protecting your honor, since we're in charge of our cities well being, he's challenging Generil and Alyi as well, meaning everyone in it." Kacey heavily opined, also answering Lyle's question.

Lyle slid over to Kacey's face and even though nobody could see it, gave him a dead stare as he asked "Are you calling my loyalty into question here?" In a far more serious and furious tone than his usual calm and collected one.

Kacey got a bit closer as he answered "I'm calling your bravery and loyalty into question here, I've already accepted the pillock's challenge, but I can bet a small fortune that you won't accept and that disproves your loyalty." He said in a smug tone.

"How much are you willing to bet, cause Lyle is gonna accept and whip you, you don't call him disloyal!" Artus yelled angrily, "Yeah, I'll accept, give me the details of his challenge." Lyle answered after calming down.

Kacey and Lyle gave each other a death stare, even though nobody could see their faces under their helmets.

"Alright, then it's settled goonsies, here, take this useless thing and read the crap on it!" Said the random civilian kid before he ran off, laughing.

The Trio thought of the kid as extremely odd, yet still nonetheless, Lyle took his tablet and read the details of Zilla's challenge.

It was a video of one of Zilla's latest "S.O.C" OR Stylish, Obliteration, Combat matches in America. One of the most brutal fighting corporations in America. Anything except weaponry is allowed, it's the resiliency and brutality of the fighters that make it look brutal.

In the video, Zilla challenges any and every Gen-Oath member to a one on one match up, a Zilla against all battle. In. A. Single. Night.

"He must have a strategy or he must be a legend if he has the boldness to challenge all of us in one night." Ember opined, "I'd be careful if I were you Lyle..." Ember then finished.

"Meh, no sweat, I mean, this guy hasn't been through S.I.O.M training now has he??" Artus asked in thought of Lyle.

"I realize that we can't keep relying on our S.I.O.M training to get us through things here, even though that mess was hell." Said Lyle with an unamused facial expression towards the end, "Ember, Haven't you been studying the city, have you heard of any good gyms?" Lyle asked.

"I've been studying the history of Generil, not the city of Generil." Ember answered, "But I've recently made a friendship with this girl inside of Josue's research and development team, she might know of one, she's been here far longer than any of us!" Ember then finished.

"Errr, wait what's the difference between the two again?" Artus asked, confused.

Ember simply face palmed after she heard his question.

"Alright, that could work, where does she work?" Lyle asked calmly as ever.

Ember told Lyle where she worked and where he could find her if she wasn't there.

"It's the afternoon, she still has to be here." Lyle stated in his head, before he went inside the building Ember told him about.

Lyle went in, saw a woman in front of a desk like the main building, and he showed her his badge and asked "Is there a Baozhai here? While his mask was on.

The woman told him all he wanted to know, Lyle took an elevator up to the 8th floor of the facility, in which the room down the corridor he found her in.

Baozhai was working on one of her many mysterious projects like her usual day, but Lyle didn't care, he knocked on the door disturbing her concentration on her developing it.

Baozhai, she looked back at the door then yelled out "THE HELL YOU WANT, BUB?" With a furious tone.

"I'm Ember's brother, she wanted me to come meet you, she told me you helped her with my problem." Lyle answered with his voice distorted.

"Ohhh, you're that Lyle, come on in, say less!" Baozhai replied to his words.

Lyle teleported inside, startling Chen Baozhai as she didn't expect him to have such a power, Ember never talks about his abilities.

"You just believed me, without having evidence of who I said I was." Lyle said she couldn't see his face because of his mask.

"Well yeah, that's my overly trusting and Loyal side, Ember told me she had two brothers but I wasn't expecting one to be able to teleport!" Baozhai replied.

"...." Lyle stared her way with a smile in silence, but to her, he was just a medium sized masked figure standing menacingly.

"So... can I help you with something while you're here?" Baozhai asked as she felt slightly creeped out.

"..." Lyle continued, staring, "No, Ember just wanted me to meet you, she calls you a close friend." Lyle answered Baozhai calmly.

Lyle took off his helmet as he said "Nice name by the way, Chen Baozhai!" With his regular voice now that his helmet was off.

Baozhai's jaw dropped as she saw his face, he looked nothing like Ember and Artus at all, but she didn't want to say anything about it. She didn't look like what Lyle imagined at all herself, she had blonde hair with blue highlights, green eyes, stood at six feet while Ember was only five-five.

Baozhai walked away whilst responding "Thanks, I-My mom named me that after my grandma. Rest her exciting soul, and our friendship did blow up fast, Didn't it?" In a nervous type of tone.

"Oh, by the way, Ember told me you might know of a decent gym here, do you know of one?" Lyle stated and asked in a calm tone.

"Yeah, UUHHHH, Here is one I know of, it's a small one but I go to it, sometimes." Baozhai answered then gave Lyle information on the training facility.

"This place is small." Lyle thought as he stood outside of it, "But it'll do, I just need to brush up on some things." Lyle finished as he still stood outside.

Lyle walked into the small time gym with the thought of training in peace, "What are you doing here?" Lyle heard from a familiar voice.

Lyle turned to his right, who did he see?

Lyle saw Kacey Sarpong standing right beside him.

"I asked you a question, what are you doing here in my gym?" Kacey asked assertively and angrily, "What are you doing owning a gym here in Generil?" Lyle asked back instead of answering Kacey's question, "Isn't your station in Alyi?" Lyle asked back as calmly as ever.

"Yeah, This is my brother's gym but I sometimes come here to visit him and train with him." Kacey answered confidently, "Do you not know what family love and loyalty is?" Kacey asked condescendingly.

Lyle kept his cool, back when he was younger, that would've upset him, his control's massively improved since then though.

"I'm familiar with family loyalty, I've got a family that's more loyal than you could ever imagine." Lyle fired back calmer than Kacey.

Kacey noticed Lyle's arms lightly gave off smoke rising through his armor and body.

(Fascinating, honestly...)

Kacey simply walked out, in silence, to where? Lyle has no idea.. he thought it was odd.

He let Kacey walk off, no fight, no argument, as he also calmed himself by flipping his coin.

The gym was Lyle's to use, free and in silence, nobody around to ruin his training, except for Kacey's brother, who, of which was off in his office during this full encounter, spectating and instigating in his head.

Lyle trained for hours until the time of the fight made its way, after hearing the news of the battle, one of the authorities behind Generil allowed it after hearing all of whom were participating, allowing it with one condition, Each Gen-Oath member must wear a mask. He thought it'd be pretty great to show off the combative skills behind them, to see how good the members who accept it are?

The fighting event was set up in Generil, so, the trio made their way to where the challenge was held.

The event took place in a massive arena, which, by the time the Trio arrived, were all filled with no tickets nor spots left for anyone else.

"Wow, this guy has to be pretty freaking famous, huh?" Artus asked his siblings as they made their way to the back.

"Ever since that weirdo brought the challenge to us, I've been doing constant research on this guy, since I know you won't to keep things interesting for you, and this guy seems like an absolute walk in the park." Ember stated with confidence.

"Really?" Asked Lyle, "Beyond a doubt, there's no doubting that you'll be able to knock this guy out in a single punch." Ember answered, assured from her research, "From what I researched, this guy has never lost a single fight but he's never faced a man who could lift a car without breaking a sweat." Ember informed, still assured.

Kacey randomly interrupts the two siblings talking strategy, as he too will face off against Zilla sills in a later match with him.

"I don't like how you questioned my bravery, you lousy pillock." Kacey angrily said as he barged into Lyle's room.

"I didn't question your bravery until you " Lyle responded back calmly as he usually stays.

Kacey's face changed, changed showing how lost he was after Lyle Fired that back, "What do you mean?" Kacey asked confused, "I never went to Generil, my job is in Alyi and that's where I stay, I've no reason to visit Generil!" Kacey maintained as he looked at Lyle didn't show it but he was confused about what he meant.

Lyle's face turned around visiting two different towns, "What about your brother, you said that you visit him and his gym in Generil, What was that all about then?" Lyle asked, just as confused as Kacey.

"How do you know I have a brother and that I visit him every now and again?" Asked Kacey, still confused, "I never mentioned my brother when we bumped into each other." Kacey stated with assurance.

The three individuals stood in silence, surrounded by clouds of confusion and discomfort.

"No, no, no, Enough of your lies, You've been stalking me somehow?" Kacey suddenly blurted, not believing Lyle's and Ember's words, "There's no way he could've been following me and I never noticed, I need to quit underestimating this kid." Kacey thought in his head.

"Why would my brother want to stalk you, bonehead?" Ember asked, annoyed by Kacey's claim and tone.

"Trust Issues." Kacey answered as he crossed his arms and grinned.

"Trust issues? If he saw you, he'd turn around and keep walking!" Artus blured out like it was an expert comeback, "Artus, come over here with me." Ember told him as she grabbed his attention.

Lyle snapped out of his thoughts and his thoughtless look disappeared as he responded, "..." nothing.

The time has come, the time is now, the time for Lyle's match has just begun and the two stood face to face with one another, Lyle coming off far more menacing to the crowd thanks to the mask he wore to conceal his identity.

[Queue any song!]

"I like to do this with all of my opponents!" Zilla stated as he and Lyle stared face to face in the ring, Zilla laid his hand out for a sportsmanship show of respect, Lyle shook his hand, but he didn't really care either way, he was there to prove his loyalty to Generil.

"Alright, No powers, No cheating, and I want zero illegal items, this isn't!" Said the referee sternly as he came between the two glaring fighters.

After Zilla and Lyle shook hands, in Zilla's fashion, Zilla then began to shake and convulse, falling to the ground as if he had just been stabbed or shot.

The referee ran to Zilla's aid believing this to be a state of emergency as Zilla never shook like he had before, Whilst Lyle stood around as if he knew Zilla was alright and was faking it, and wouldn't you know it?... Zilla got up a few minutes completely fine, actually, better than before, Lyle knew it.

"It's almost as if he made me a God..." Zilla stated in his head as he got off the ground from the convulsions, He'd experienced.

Zilla then did a handstand before launching himself high and back on his feet after a handstand, while Lyle stood where he was, unamused and unimpressed by Zilla's confidence.

The challenger began doing light punches and kicks to test out what he mimicked, to feel how healthy he was after healing from his secret injury.

"This kid is this strong, this swift, excellent build but does his skills match?" Zilla thought to himself.

The bell rang in usual fashion after the officials heavily checked up on Zilla, Signaling the start of the match.

Lyle got in a common boxing stance, Zilla took to a usual Muay Thai stance as the two fighters stood facing each other, the crowd and the staff of the arena could feel their tension.

Most of the crowd cheered and rooted for Zilla sills, being the famous ring fighter since he was young.

"One battling for honor, the other fighting for... Well, who knows what, the thing is, someone working for Josue is fighting, that's amazing enough!" Said one of the commentators. He was a southern fast talker.

Lyle refused the role of the victim as he became the aggressor, dashing at Zilla first with a right hook on his mind.

Lyle missed, Zilla feeling the air of Lyle's momentum as he missed by a hair, Zilla quickly retaliating with a flying knee to Lyle's chin.

Lyle goes soaring away, catching himself, then stating "Down in one punch, She says!" Lyle mocked the female announcer in his head.

"Thanks for the strength, hero!" Zilla says as he's checking out his arms.

Lyle gets up off his knee, stretches his knees and bends, then says "That's not all you'll need to win this, you need my--" As calm as ever but he stopped when Zilla dodged his flurry, "Speed...?" Sills finished for him leaving Lyle a bit shook.

Zilla smiled sinisterly, then responded back, "I have a special ability, I like to call it my own inherited battle-greed." As he cracked his knuckles then finished, "Trust me, Now I have the desire to feed, your blood will make EXCELLENT mead!".

Lyle having no care for his "Special ability" he rushed him down again, Intending to uppercut Zilla, Zilla with the swiftness and agility of a cheetah, Dodged the blow, then he countered with an uppercut of his own, Lyle dodged his too. An unpredictable back and forth of Jabs, crosses, hooks and kicks, accompanied by blocks and deflects began, making the crowd roar, those that witnessed this believed them to be equals in the ring.

A moment came that the two needed to catch their breath, Zilla noticed smoke coming off of Lyle's shoulders, it creeped him out more than you'd expect from a world famous and mind-boggling skilled fighter.

A moment of hesitation came upon Lyle as he needed to prune his anger and frustration, cut it down, allowing Zilla enough time to perform a combo of four books, a roundhouse to his rib, which Lyle felt, and head-spinning spinning backfist, knocking him off of his feet.

The crowd was amazed by Lyle's strength, the crowd was amazed by Zilla's durability, the crowd was amazed by both contenders clearly enjoying the competition.

"That did damage but he still got back up with little difficulty?!" Zilla asked in his head with frustration, genuinely amazed as he got off the ground outside the ring.

Lyle got off the ground then picked back up his muy thai stance, he didn't brag nor did he taunt, Zilla saw unwavering determination in Lyle's attitude and superb form.

"This kid shrugged all of that off??" Said Zilla in his thoughts while he stretched for a round two.

The crowd cheered and different watchers boo'ed, the pace of the match slowed down as the two opponents glared at the other, one like he was having fun and the other you could see the hunger for victory in his eyes.

Lyle dashes in swiftly, attempting

Instead of going for a KO-ing punch though, Zilla knee'd Lyle, then Did a flip kick and sent Lyle flying out of the ring.

"OOooooOoOo, A stylish way to knock someone out of the ring, what will he do next?!" Said a commentator.

Lyle got off the ground, somewhat hurt by Zilla's attack... then started walking to the back, without saying a word.

"Leave like a purple clad coward, YOUR strength was beyond any opponent I've ever fought but you concede so easily??" Zilla screamed as Lyle walked away.

"... Kacey was wrong, this fight wasn't for Generil's honor, While he was right about defending something's honor shows one's loyalty, that was not the case here, proving my disloyalty to Generil instead by wasting time here. You won, so congratulations." Lyle stated all quickly in his head.

"I still have the other purple warrior to fight instead, ring him out!" Zilla continued screaming as Lyle continued walking away Zilla screamed angrily.

As Lyle walked away, Kacey bumped his shoulder into him, halting the both of them, While stating, "Don't ever call me coward again pillock or else..." in a calm tone.

Lyle halted as he looked back at Kacey, glaring, yet remaining as calm as ever.

"I still have no Idea what he's talking about, something weird is going on here." Said Lyle in his thoughts.

Lyle made his way back to his siblings, to quite possibly yell at Ember.
