July 7th, 2019 in his mansion, mother Russia, within the view of a setting sun.
Zilla sills broke into laughter as he watched some of the Trio's previous battles on Joetube, a site where anyone can post anything that follows its terms of service.
A butler that doubles as the manager of a former martial arts prodigy that's now grown up glanced over towards his employer. Zilla Sills, A 39 year old pro fighter, proving it weekly in one of the deadliest companies in the world. The goatee prodigy draped his arm over his butler's shoulder. "I desire to fight this bastard Trio, Lance, what have you collected?" Zilla asked his manager. Lance scrolled through a PDF that held what he considered to be insufficient intel for his employer but he recognized that it was all Zilla's intel squad could find about his would-be foes. "They haven't released who they are yet, probably tryin' ta keep it a secret for legal, I guess." Lance answered and informed his employer. Zilla released a deep sigh before he began biting his nails after realizing how he neglected them and they grew long. "I can't set up a fight with nameless figures, huh?" Zilla asked himself and pondered further on it after hearing Lance's answer. The pro fighter's butler bit the right side of his lip as he read the few details in front of him. "Our intel team was able to collect the nicknames given by the public. Within the month that the Gen-Oath team has been an established division within the city's police department. They are the sangfroid paragon, the bluestocking blade and the sanguine marksman." Lance relayed before shutting his laptop.
July 11th, 2019. Early in the tight grasp of dawn, around 9:00 AM, the Trio woke up from a loud alarm on their custom clocks in their rooms. Lyle woke up from his slumber thanks to his communicator's alert sounding off as it sat on his shoulder until his full attention was grabbed by hearing a woman's urgent tone over it. "Help, mayday— Maybe, Gen-Oath, downtown is in dire need of your assistance right now!" Aada screamed with an urgent tone. "There's a 40 foot creature attacking Generil's market district, alongside many other smaller creatures, we need your attention and presence right now!" Police Chief Aaida ordered with a stronger tone of distress and Lyle recognized something frightened her by how she requested. Lyle teleported out of his bed, the sangfroid paragon keeps his comfortable iron blue tights on himself like they were his pajamas. He only needed to put on his bracers, knee pads, shin gear and instantaneously move to his helmet. The others received a similar alert as they were both in the kitchen for breakfast.
The bluestocking blade equipped her helmet and materialized a bastard sword. "Drop the Strawberries and cream, you goon!" Ember yelled at Artus while she was putting on her final boot, Lyle was already downstairs and on his bike ready to ride away to the emergency and urgent burst scene. The sanguine marksman found himself dumbfounded by her rushing past him almost forcing him to drop it. "C'mon, Lil sis, I just made these!" Artus replied with a disappointed tone. Lyle teleported beside his brother. "I think she's jealous that you're quicker being prepped than her?" The sangfroid paragon suggested before teleporting to the closest building outside of their penthouse. Artus shrugged believing that theory for her crankiness credible. "Comfy does matter more to her." He finished before leaping out of the window.
Arriving to Generil's downtown district, the Trio came and saw a frightening sight, at least it would be to anyone who's not them, there was one 40 foot humanoid creature, tall and lanky, accompanied by an overabundance of other similar but smaller lanky humanoids tearing through the city. Generil's armed officers were capable of eliminating the nimble seven foot beasts with reasonable ease, yet the creature that they had feared the most seemed unfazed by their swarms of bullets. It rampaged through the metropolis, crushed, bashed buildings as it pleased. Aaida and the police force that took the field combating the giant's teenier troops were relieved as the presence of the Trio swiftly changed the tides they were aiming for during the havoc. Lyle cleared many in a significant group before he parkoured onto the tall rooftop of a building nearby, calmly assessing the hectic situation madness below. the cops all shouted, the cops grew astounded, then they realized all of a sudden they were surrounded. The Bluestocking blade materialized a sword for executioners she had used to save her fellow officers. Ember made sure none of the creatures could touch her as she removed their heads with each swing. Artus sniped out the creatures before they could lay a singular claw on the overwhelmed and fleeing Generil officers from a vantage. An officer turned around as he heard roaring uncomfortably close behind him and only saw heads of the monsters chasing him had gruesomely were blown away.
Having a strategy for the much smaller creatures causing havoc, in his mind while it played out, Lyle headed for their fourteen-foot commander, insecure about his plan. Lyle threw away the rifle on his back and charged that creature head on, before his feet could even touch the commanding creature, it had smacked him away into a nearby building that they were near. Lyle picked himself up off the ground, dusted himself off, but heard then immediately a small child. He surveyed where his cries came from then noticed him in the back of a bus. Ember zipped by and killed the monsters near the boy. "Go and get the little boy to safety, I'll distract this giant!" Ember shouted at her brother In a humorless manner before then actually throwing herself at the giant monster, avoiding its pure power with her pure speed and nimble frame as she swung and cut before being flicked away. Artus replaced her by blasting a barrage of rockets at it. Lyle rushed like his own life was in danger, rushing off to save the life of that young child, he rushed as so to grab the child, then when he had gotten a hold of him, he continued to rush off the same in the opposite direction, the child thought "How bold of them!" As they flew and he witnessed, it made way of molding him. Lyle sat the child on a far away rooftop, where he assumed the giant creature wouldn't survive long enough to find. The teenier creatures couldn't get atop of, but then Lyle paused because his thoughts had frozen him. The sangfroid paragon entered deeper thought. "The creature moves slowly yet seems to predict others finely." He noted as he saw it attempting to swat his elder sister off itself again, "He lacks speed but wholly makes up for it with terrifying strength and low tier precognition?" Lyle wondered as he squatted down ready to leap into action, "Stay patient." He speedily reminded himself before he saw and noted something strange on its legs for a split second. He gasped when a theory came to mind. The kid that was saved by the sangfroid paragon tapped on his leg. "Mister purple, have you seen my parents around?" Lyle heard the kid ask in a nervous, frightful tone, with a frown. Lyle froze for a moment, but then, he got out his key from a pocket in his utility belt and grasped it as tightly as he could've. "No, but I'll find your parents after we've saved the city from this. Just stay on top of here until I come back." Said the sangfroid paragon in his usual low volume but determined tone.
The sangfroid paragon leapt skillfully from the initial roof and hopped from building to building in a hurry groaning, biceps and thighs radiating with rising smoke from his armor. As Lyle arrived at where the creature headed, he watched his sister Ember proving some of his evaluation correct, the creature couldn't land any of his monstrous blows against the Bluestocking swordsman because she was simply too nimble and agile, however, her sword barely did anything to its armored skin either.
Lyle suggested that Ember help assist Artus and assured her that he knew how to handle the creatures' humongous leader. The Bluestocking blade pounded her younger brother's fist and nodded. "You've got a plan I assume, Smokey tactician?" Ember asked rhetorically before she left off. Lyle exhaled before aiming and launching his thick dagger into the chest of the large creature, as the creature halted from moving forward and roared from the pain it was put into, Lyle teleported on top of its forearm and sprinted in the direction of his stuck blade. It roared as it couldn't remove the petite blade from its chest. The sangfroid paragon teleported below to the right of the creature's right kneecap and unloaded his dual pistols, sending it down an entire leg and on its hands as the leg he blasted crumbled to ashes and was blown away with the wind. Lyle landed gracefully before grabbing his communicator. "Perfect angle, Art, blast the strange shape on his remaining kneecap before he can recover." The sangfroid paragon directed his brother, he de-materialized his submachine gun and conjured a sniper for the occasion. The sanguine marksman searched for the humongous otherworldly giant before he took his shot, yet when he had it, the marksman did not hesitate which shockingly forced the entire building sized creature to crumble in its entirety. The Trio and the remainder of their forces exterminated the pesky otherworldly intruders filling their city's streets with ashes that weren't swept up as their father.
A few hours flew by, The Trio went on their patrol through the streets. Civilians praised the Trio and shouted their appreciation for them. One of them that stood in a crowd refused. He rushed through the crowd blocking him in a rude manner. Grabbing their attention, the stout civilian snickered as he stared at Ember. "Our protectors but you lot won't accept Zilla Sill's bout?" He finished snorting. The Bluestocking blade had bursted into laughter. "We aren't aware of any of his challenges, you're the first of his goons who brought this to our attention, fan boy." Ember replied to the young critic that burst through the crowd as she scowled. The stout critic jumped away as he gasped while she approached him. The stout critic thought about his idol at this moment. "Tell by my expression, I couldn't care any less, does that mean that you're gonna accept his challenge, toots?" In a completely changed attitude than the brief moment of nervousness Ember noticed. The sangfroid paragon, sanguine marksman and the bluestocking swordswoman thought of the young critic as an odd character, yet Lyle decided to read what was on his "You-pad" and read the details of Zilla's challenge. It had a compilation of one of Zilla's latest "S.O.C" OR Stylish, Obliteration, Combat matches in America. One of the most brutal fighting corporations in America. Anything except weaponry is allowed, it's the resiliency and brutality of the fighters that earned the company a title for being barbarically entertaining. Artus nodded approvingly as he's deeply impressed by the compiled matches and the fighter's challenge for them. "Zilla challenges any and every Gen-Oath division member to a one on one match up, the world's premier kickboxer against the Gen-Oath in a single night." Artus commented before quoting the heading of the article at the end. The young stout critic giggled. "That Title doesn't do him Justice." He declared after hearing it from the sanguine marksman's mouth. Artus cleared his throat. "Glaaazzerrrr!" He loudly opined. Ember glanced in her brother's direction after sitting on the question and feeling tempted before scowling towards the stout critic once more. "No. The thickset marksman can never shut up about him or the ridiculous company that he fights. He's not a swordsman. It'd be a waste of my valuable time. No class in brawling." She replied in an annoyed tone. The stout critic curled his hands and began rubbing them together as he switched his gaze over towards the bluestocking blade's brother. "Wha' 'bout chu, pretty big, hot and chunky?" Asked the stout critic. Artus looked down and shook his head. "I can't doubt that I'm way stronger than him but if the fight was fair and he was at the physical pinnacle then I'd get my hiny kicked. He defeated Shaolin and Lee Bruce stain." Artus answered, laughing at his own joke, everyone else quiet. The stout critic heard the sanguine marksman's and the bluestocking blade's answers and held a frown as his breathing grew heavier until he leaned his head back and saw Lyle. "So, violet and Quiet, What about you then?" The stout critic asked the sangfroid paragon. Lyle continued to be stuck in thought as leaned against the local business they stood outside of with arms folded. "... No. I'm more of a knife fighter." Lyle answered the civilian.
The civilian seemingly got angry, before another Gen-Oath member made him turn in awe. Lyle recognized the hair that covered his back, this member's reserved gear, but realized he never caught the man's name. "Zilla Sills would leave you flat on your face in a ring. Wise decision but it makes you come off cowardly." Kacey commented beside the sangfroid paragon in a humorless tone. Lyle stood where he was glaring at his Alyian Gen-Oath mate under his helmet. "Cowardly. It's responsible. He's an average human without any cultivation." Lyle argued, maintaining his calm mood. Artus pumped his fist in the air. "Yeah, bro here can only enjoy one-sided fights against him, Kace!" The sanguine marksman shouted before applauding. Lyle turned his gaze towards his brother. Kacey realized that Lyle had no clue of his identity. "My name is Kacey Sarpong, a private investigator from South Carolina now hired for the Gen-Oath division of the Alyian police department." Kacey introduced himself to the Trio, "Run through more of his footage, that excuse won't work. He'll tarnish your reputation and it will carry. He's been holding back against his opponents himself." Kacey finished, clueing the Trio. Lyle contemplated as he took a glimpse over towards his brother. Artus shrugged before approaching Kacey Sarpong. "Yeah, if you're so correct then— let us know where we could watch his fights and which would be a good starting point, Kace?" The sanguine paragon inquired but was greeted by his silence. Kacey left without a further word afterwards, grappling to the nearest building. Ember turned towards her brothers with folded arms and a smug grin under her helmet. "I know someone from Alyi that's fortunately visiting Generil right now who is obsessed over this arrogant goat face kickboxer. I can't grasp why, I think she's just enamored by his muscles like a child. Yeevsh." Said the Bluestocking blade. Artus and Ember stared at one another initiated by the marksman. Lyle pondered to himself. "Challenging all of us, one man against an elite squadron, so what does he have up his sleeve?" The sangfroid paragon thought aloud without noticing. The Bluestocking blade took a glimpse to the concrete. "Maybe that eighties rockstar legitimately figured out a secret of his, maybe he's actually a lemon chiffon cultivator?" Ember then finished. Artus patted his brother on the back. "Students with some of the greatest lemon chiffon mentors in the world struggled with grasping theirs, I just ask how good can this guy's trick up his sleeve be if he's learning on his own?" Artus asked rhetorically. Ember rubbed her chin. "This world is humongous and we've only experienced roughly around twenty percent of it, Ly, Art." The Bluestocking blade opined. Lyle sighed before nodding with resolve. "I realize that we can't solely rely on our training to get us through every problem that'll head our way here. We've got to break through our ceilings and this could be a perfect opportunity." Lyle reasoned with an unamused facial expression towards the end. Artus was curious about something. "Embs, know of any amazing gyms around here?" The sanguine marksman asked his sister. Ember sighed in frustration. "I've been studying the history of Generil, not the city of Generil— yet." Ember answered, "My friend's here visiting her brother who runs a gym not very far from here actually— coincidentally?" Ember then turned towards and informed her more serious little brother, "Artus has already met her but I'd like you to meet her too." Ember finished. Lyle folded his arms as pictured what a friend of his sister's might be like momentarily. "Coincidentally." He commented. Artus was left scratching his head. "Errr, wait what's the distinction between the two— though?" Artus asked, confused.
Ember simply face palmed after she heard his question. Lyle placed his hand in his pockets. "Alright, that could work, where is she working right now?" Lyle asked calmly as usual. Ember gave her quieter younger brother the information he needed from her.
The sangfroid paragon strolled through his newly found home to the business district where he finally found the gym from Ember's note and her description of it. "Yep. As beautiful as she had described." Lyle opined in his head, before he sauntered inside. Lyle surveyed the decor before he saw a woman in front of a desk. Lyle showed her his badge. "I need to see the owner. He's here?" He asked as she was visibly worried he thought it was because of his presence. The gym attendant told him all the information that he needed, Lyle followed the path to the gym from its lobby. The sangfroid paragon heard a serene and fluent voice from behind him. "Here for me?" Lyle turned around and the disembodied voice was much younger than he expected, "Chen Hui fen." The gym's owner introduced himself with a handshake before gesturing to follow him elsewhere. Lyle strolled through a gymnasium and upstairs with Chen hui fen comfortable in their shared silence. Chen Hui Fen used his thumb and pointed at a room he led the sangfroid paragon to at the building's final door in its upper floor's corridor before he stepped away. Lyle unequipped his helmet and peeked through a window that part of the door and briefly studied the room. It was filled with a few couches and stacks of books on various tables. On one couch, he came upon the fact of sighting a youthful woman with blonde hair yet a dark blue streak down one of her bangs wrapped inside of a thick book. "A book worm like herself that'd be part of the five percent. That makes sense." Lyle kept to himself before he knocked on the door rhythmically. The gal turned her bright and wide gaze towards the door slowly as if she was on her way to sleep before her jaw dropped as she stared into his eyes, the woman's face switched to being more lively prior to hopping from her fluffy couch until she clumsily fell flat on her face.
Lyle teleported his way inside, startling Baozhai as she didn't expect him to be capable of instantaneous movement as he performed. "I'm Ember's brother." The sangfroid paragon introduced himself with his voice distorted before clearing his throat as he had checked on her face planted on the ground. Alyi's genius lifted her head before herself. "Oof— you're the fire alarm triggering younger brother, I'm alright." Baozhai replied to his words. The sangfroid paragon got up from kneeling down and stood up tall following her lead, he admired her missing tooth in his thoughts when she presented her grin. "That was the only detail she told you about me, wasn't it?" The sangfroid paragon asked Alyi's genius while her body language informed him that she was in a struggle of recalling something else. Alyi's genius gasped. "Six-feet tall on the dot along with one that's six-feet and seven inches if I'm remembering correctly!" Baozhai replied with an enthusiastic shout. The sangfroid paragon stared silently her way with a blank expression. "Way too much semblance to Livia in this girl but what about her has Embs warmed up to?" He questioned and kept to himself. Chen Baozhai dusted her clothes off. "Yup. You're helping me remember a ton of stuff that she had told me about you fellas. Yep." Baozhai asked as she felt slightly creeped out, the sangfroid paragon continued staring away in his usual silence, observing her appearance and began the process of figuring out questions he had, "Did you come over for an explosive play date or is there something else that Embs sent you for?" Baozhai inquired before glancing towards explosives she carries on another table. Lyle followed her eyes and saw them for himself. "She contacted you. She sent me to meet you two and told me about how you and your brother Zilla Sills' deleted limited edition pro matches on tape for me to study before my match with him." Lyle informed Alyi's genius before asking if he could watch the tapes. Baozhai gasped once more in shock. "You're facing the twenty-time champion with the third longest holding time?!" Alyi's genius shouted with excitement, "This hasn't made its way to the bet-it pages yet— let me in on the details!" Alyi's genius finished with fervor. Lyle stood in his silence and let her finish her excited burst. "Ember definitely left the surprise for you. The fight's in a general week and I've only accepted his challenge an hour ago." Lyle elaborated further as Baozhai paced back and forth. Alyi's genius inched closer to the sangfroid paragon. "I work for one of the weapons research and development facilities in Alyi, I should have had something for my lil sis and assisted in taking down that miniature invasion this morning but I couldn't be there for her or this city— after every day that you've saved, I'll be the one to show appreciation. Let's go." Baozhai began with a sincerely calmer tone before ending her answer with passion. The sangfroid paragon glanced towards the ceiling as he was lost in thoughts. "Rivals Livia with her energy but the two differ in so many ways. I see." He assessed further and kept to himself. Baozhai tossed away the book she's been holding onto as the sangfroid paragon's eyes followed it. "Chen Baozhai, by the way, it's a pleasure to meet you in person." Alyi's genius officially introduced herself as she gestured for a handshake. Lyle didn't hesitate to accept yet he didn't display his smile to its fullest. "Just Lyle. Nice name." As his voice temporarily dropped back into inhumanly low on the compliment before clearing his throat again. Baozhai gasped for the third time giving Lyle a thought.
The time has come, the time is now, the time for Lyle's match has just begun and the two stood face to face with one another, Lyle coming off far more menacing to the crowd thanks to the mask he wore to conceal his identity. Both fighters tightened their gloves, Zilla tapped his elbows with the palm of his other hand before back flipping, performing a handstand twice. Lyle stretched his shoulders then used a back kick as a stretch for his legs. Zilla had to notice his almost perfect form as he was doing his kicks.
"I like to do this with all of my opponents!" Zilla stated as he and Lyle stared face to face in the ring. Zilla laid his hand out for a sportsmanship show of respect. Lyle shook his hand, but he didn't really care either way to do it, he was there to represent his new loyalty to Generil.
"Alright, No powers, No cheating, and I want zero illegal items, this isn't a street fight!!" Said the referee sternly as he came between the two combatants, the night's challenger and challenged. After Zilla and Lyle shook hands, in Zilla's fashion, Zilla then began to shake and convulse wildly, ragdolling to the ground as if he had just been stabbed or shot.
The referee ran to Zilla's aid believing this to be a state of emergency as Zilla never shook like he did ever before, Whilst Lyle stood around as if he knew Zilla was alright, and wouldn't you know it?. Zilla got up a few minutes completely fine, actually, better than before, Lyle could tell it. He was asking himself why he began it.
"It's almost as if he made me a God..." Zilla stated in his head as he got off the ground from the convulsions, He'd experienced. Zilla then did a handstand before launching himself high and back on his feet, while Lyle stood where he was, unamused and unimpressed by Zilla's confidence. The bell rang in usual fashion after the officials heavily checked up on Zilla, Signaling the start of the match.
Lyle got in a common boxing stance, Zilla took to a usual Muay Thai stance as the two fighters stood facing each other, the crowd and the staff of the arena could feel their tension. Most of the crowd cheered and rooted for Zilla sills, being a famous fighter since he was young and all.
"One battling for honor, the other fighting for... Well, who knows what, the thing is, someone working for Josue is fighting, that's amazing enough!" Said one of the commentators.
Lyle left the role of the victim as he became the aggressor, dashing at Zilla first with a right hook on his mind. Lyle missed, Zilla feeling the air of Lyle's momentum as he missed by a hair, Zilla quickly retaliating with a flying knee to Lyle's chin.
Lyle goes soaring away, catching himself, then stating "Down in one punch, She says!" Lyle mocked the female announcer in his head. "Thanks for the strength, hero of Generil!" Zilla says as he's checking out his arms.
Lyle gets up off his knee, stretches his knees and bends, then says "That's not all you'll need to win this, and Call me Lyle." As calm as ever.
Zilla smiled sinisterly, then responded back, "I have a special ability, I like to call it my own inherited battle-greed." As he cracked his knuckles then finished, "Trust me, Now I have the desire to feed, your blood will make EXCELLENT mead!".
Lyle having no care for his "Special ability" he rushed him down again, Intending to uppercut Zilla, Zilla with the swiftness and agility of a cheetah, Dodged the blow, then he threw an uppercut of his own, Lyle dodged, then a back and forth of punches and kicks, blocks and deflects began, making the crowd who witnessed believe them to be equals in the ring.
A moment came that the two needed to catch their breath, Zilla noticed smoke coming off of Lyle, it creeped him out more than you'd expect from a world famous, skilled fighter. A moment of hesitation came upon Zilla, allowing Lyle for that split second to knock him out of the ring with a speedy punch.
The crowd was amazed by Lyle's strength, the crowd was amazed by Zilla's durability, the crowd was amazed by both contenders fighting for what they were fighting for…
"He'd be able to survive a stupidly powerful punch like that?!" Zilla asked in his head, genuinely amazed as he got off the ground outside the ring. Lyle kept up his stance, he didn't brag nor did he taunt, Zilla saw unwavering determination in Lyle's attitude and style, he did a backflip back into the ring.
"You could be one of the best acrobats anyone has ever seen, you know that?" Zilla told Lyle as he got caught his balance. "I love soaring through the air." Lyle received memories of a friend's voice.
Lyle froze up thinking, who said those words, giving Zilla a chance to return the favor back to him in a similar manner. Instead of going for a punch with the intention of knocking him out though, Zilla delivered a devastating knee to the kid, then attempted a flip kick that paid off and sent Lyle flying out of the ring he claimed as his with a cocky tone.
"OOooooOoOoh, A stylish way to knock someone out of the ring, unfortunately for the legend that isn't the way to victory!" The commentator hyped up the crowd. "what will he do next?!" The second commentator. Lyle got off the ground, somewhat hurt by Zilla's attack... then started walking to the back, without saying a word.
"Leave like a purple coward, YOUR strength was beyond any opponent I've ever fought, just know that." Zilla screamed as Lyle walked away.
"... Kacey was wrong, this fight wasn't for Generil's sake, While he was right about defending something's honor shows one's loyalty, that was not the case with this fight, proving my disloyalty to Genoble instead by wasting time here." Lyle stated all quickly in his head.
"I still have the other purple warrior to fight instead, ring him out, Ref!" Zilla continued screaming as Lyle continued walking away Zilla screamed angrily.
As Lyle walked away, Kacey bumped his shoulder into him, halting the both of them, While he was stating "Don't ever call me coward again pillock or else..." in a calm tone. Lyle halted as he looked back at Kacey, glaring, yet remaining as calm as ever.
"I still have no Idea what he's talking about, something weird is going on here." Said Lyle in his thoughts. Lyle made his way back to his siblings, to quite possibly yell at Ember.
