Chapter 2 - 2. Orhill Town

AELIA REVA

"kindly attention, train number  146 is coming on platform number 4."

I take that as my cue and pick my luggage up, making sure my face is covered with the mask, and make my way to platform number 4.

After the procedure, I find my seat and put my luggage on the rack above my seat.

I settle down in my seat and take my book out to pass time. The train to the new town is 12 hours long so I'll probably finish this book by the end of this train trip.

By the way, this book is such a masterpiece.

"Excuse me, ma'am. Can I sit here please?" A sweet small voice interrupts me and I look up to see a boy smiling at me innocently who seems to be at least 8 years old.

He has blue eyes and brown hair, a cute baby face and he seems to be wearing a suit. He looks adorable.

"Yeah sure," I let out smiling softly at him.

He quickly takes a seat and I look around to see if his guardian is around. I see a couple sitting on the other side talking to each other.

must be theirs.

I go back to reading but soon I'm interrupted again by the little boy.

"So, where are you traveling to?" He asks me.

"To a new town. What bout you?" I ask him in return and he shrugs his shoulders at me.

"I forgot the name again." I smile at his cuteness.

"It's okay. What's your name?" I inquire?

"My name is Delroy."

That's a unique name.

"Well, Delroy, You have a beautiful name. My name is A-"

"Aelia," He cuts me off still smiling at me which is now starting to creep the hell out of me.

"Aelia Reva."

How in the world he knows my name.

"How do you know my name?" I inquire him, my voice coming out as shaky and full of suspicion and distress.

He looks at me dead in the eye while his creepy smile turns into a mischievous smirk.

He motions me to come closer to him by gesturing with his hand.

I reluctantly, move down closer to him. He brings his face near my ear cupping it with his hand to tell me something.

"I know what you are. You should watch your back." As soon as he uttered these words I move away from him.

He no longer sounds like an innocent child rather the voice comes out as deep and grave like a horrid man. I look away from him to look around to see if anyone is noticing but it seems like everyone is unaware of this.

As I turn to look back at the boy or whatever he is, he's nowhere to be seen.

He just vanished.

What. just. happened?!!

ATTENTION PASSENGERS, THIS IS YOUR CONDUCTOR SPEAKING. THE TRAIN IS ABOUT TO ARRIVE AT THE ORHILL STATION. PLEASE GET READY TO GET OFF. THANK YOU.

I sigh as I close my book which I was planning to finish by the end of the ride but I couldn't even focus one bit.

The kid or man or whatever he was, I couldn't stop myself from replaying his words in my mind and thinking of all the ways he could know me or what does he mean by 'I should watch my back.'

Didn't I already deal with enough?

Even though I should be worried, and I am but I'm not gonna let that ruin my plans. I'm gonna try my best to live the life I always wanted and not let anyone bring me down.

I'll fight for myself.

Soon we arrive at the town's station. I wait for most of the passengers to move out so I don't get pushed over.

After a majority of people leave I get up as well and take my luggage from the rack above and make my way out of the train.

My joints crack for me being in the same position for half a day.

Stepping out of the train I'm immediately greeted by the cold weather and people walking and running around in huge coats and scarfs.

Good thing I'm half fire fairy then. It doesn't affect me at all.

Thank God I'm wearing a sweatshirt and not a T-shirt otherwise people might think I'm weird.

I walk out of the station and the view of the town surprises me.

I always thought that Orhill town will be just like my old town. Enormous and active streets with people either going to work and fighting or small gangs making trouble all over the town.

But Orhill town is so much different than that. The town gives me the feels of peace and calm. Although there are some people on the streets, everyone has a smile on their face and seems to be so happy.

And the town seems to have all sorts of trees everywhere making the town more likable.

I love it already. Now let's see if the people will like me or not.

I make my way to the bus stop nearby and wait for a few seconds before hollering a cab over.

"Good evening ma'am. Where would you like to go?" The cab driver asks me through his window.

I tell him the new address and he helps me out with my luggage in and closes the door after I get in. Even he is nice.

After about ten minutes we arrive at the new place I'll be staying in. I pay him and again he helps me out and thank him for it.

If I got on a cab in my old town the driver would have killed me by the end of the ride.

Stop thinking about the old town Lia.

I walk into the cozy-looking place and make my way to the receptionist.

"Good evening, I umm had booked a room on here. is it still available?" I ask her as politely as possible. Plus I don't know how to talk to people in general.

She looks up at me and gives me a sweet smile.

"Good evening ma'am. Can I know your name please?" She inquiries me in a professional tone.

I tell her my name and after a second she informs me that it is available and then confirms the duration of time I'll be staying.

"Your room is on the second floor on the left. Have a great stay with us." She hands me the room key and I make my way out of the area to find a big lounge area with a staircase on one side.

My presence interrupts the conversation between the woman who looked like my age and two other guys who were already sitting in the lounge area.

They all stop and look at me with a questioning look. I smile and greet them not knowing what else to say.

The woman smiles at me in return and gets up to walk towards me.

"Hi, you must be the new guest."
