"I thought you only loved getting drunk", not receiving a response from the girl, Edric walked out on to the balcony and stood next to her, his arms resting in a crisscross position on the aluminum glass railing as he bent forward and indifferently gazed into the distance
"And I thought you only loved girls on your lap", the professor replied, seeing the boy out away from the colourful, animated life while staring at the dark street. The alley wasn't jet black, some light from the distant lamps was scattered here and there in the street.
"I do but what I love more is their pretty mouths around my---", the boy was halted by the girl's exhaled breath, annoyance readily fused to.
"Stop. I don't get why everybody is suddenly interested in telling me about their sex life when I never asked for it", face turning to her right, she voiced her thoughts.
First, Dylan tried to coax her into chit-chat on his so-called dreamy night then Alex also didn't let the chance to mention a moment from his night with her friend skim away and now Edric. She left her friend inside to let him continue with a new hobby, she might say, he had found recently while she could have some time alone to relax and make a decision about the next time travel which the universe didn't let her by sending the boy.
"And doing that, they are only adding fuel to the fire while pissing off your lonely, needy a*s", a luscious smile welcomed itself on Edric's lips as he rotated his head to look at the girl, the girl who aimed for his cheek. The girl who hadn't left his mind for the previous two days.
During the last two nights when he came to the club, unknown to his own self, his eyes wandered around in search of a particular person that unexpectedly became the center of his attention. He wasn't dying to see the girl. No involvement of feelings, no commitment. He still held to his motto in life. Regardless, something about her kept him hostage, imprisoning him to his own thoughts.
However, not finding her, he continued what he would do all other times, steamy nights. Today was also just like one of the other days. When he walked into the club tonight and saw the same face, an incredibly odd excitement arouse in his body.
Once the eye contact was made, he didn't hear anything whatsoever the blonde girl leeching over him was uttering. Not that he couldn't hear because of the loud music. The girl was standing pretty close with little to no space left between them. His mind got momentarily occupied by the professor who was ogling at him like an eagle gawking its target. Hilarious. The girl came off funny.
"I'm not lonely", how could she feel lonely when she had such a loving and supportive family? She might be a little needy, not the other way around. And the not that horny needy type, she was doing fine until her stupid friend made her realize what the girls around her age were doing and there she was dating electronic components, being friends with formulas, sleeping with electric charges around.
Then, she thought to give it a try, finding a one-nighter never sounded as hard as it was for real. One thing was proved. All those movies and novels were called fictitious for a reason.
"Hmmm", Edric didn't know why but he felt a comfortable feeling igniting him from within when he heard her claiming that she wasn't lonely. Someone as cheerful and life-of-the-party didn't deserve to be alone.
"Why are you---", the girl's question left hanging in the air at the sound of muffled voices, wait...were those whimpers?
"Hey, f*cker! She ain't your property to f*ck around! F*ck off and shit on your land!!", when she rotated her head and looked down, a boy was forcing himself on a girl. Edric followed her line of sight to meet...no, he wasn't up for a midnight drama with his dad's rival son.
"What? Ran out of boys to please your p*ssy, whore!", the boy down the street yelled back at the professor who fumed in anger, nostrils flaring, eyes growing larger just like a balloon having air filling it.
She looked around to find something she could use to...there she saw a pebble in the rectangular planter box. Hurrying towards it, she bent down and fetch it. It wasn't large, the size of a small 'o' that would be formed when you joined the tips of your thumb and index finger, nonetheless, for the girl it appeared large enough to knock some sense into the thick skull of the boy.
"Catch it, moron!", without thinking twice, well, she didn't even think for once before targeting the boy's forehead and hurling the pebble through the air. The stone hit right above the left eye of the boy who let go of the girl's arm and shrieked in pain.
He should feel himself lucky that the girl who knocked him was a scientist, one centimeter down and he would be walking with a purplish bruise around his eye. Indeed, the professor was perfect in calculations.
"Oops, couldn't?", the professor rounded her mouth in comical 'O' shape, her fingers resting dramatically on her chin, eyebrows wrinkled. The girl down in the street took her chance and skedaddle off the place.
It would be unfair with Edric to name his state as 'shocked'. It looked like all the lightning from the thunderstorms of the professor's assignment pummeled on him. Did he just get himself teleported in an action movie? What was with this girl? Did she think of herself a female version of Tom Cruise?
"Come down, bitch! I'ma chop your hands", and the last non-existent straw the professor was holding was broken.
"Did you call me bitch? Stay right there, f*ckwit. Your death is on the way!"
