Regards Scarlett Blake."
The professor finished typing the report.
"You know the 'beautiful' that you added before 'necklace' was unnecessary there", taking a bite away from cheese tacos, Dylan sipped on his sprite.
After taking the necklace and banana peel from the time machine yesterday, both of them decided to discuss the matter the coming day as they were kind of exhausted to reckon their brains in order to conclude various new theories from the second travel. Now, they were sitting side by side on chairs in the university food corner after attending their classes.
"You know you breathing is pretty much unnecessary for this earth", clicking on the File option on the toolbar, the professor selected Save from the list.
"I don't agree, professor. I'm helping plants by providing them carbon dioxide" that was the drawback of being friends with someone intelligent. Your savage comments could return back to you within seconds.
"Technically, you're not doing them a shittiest of a favor. They provide you with oxygen to breathe. If it weren't for them, you would've long disappeared from the mighty face of the earth", and if both of the friends were intelligent and quick-witted, the savageness would travel two-way.
"Aren't you going to send it to the state?", when the girl saved the file on her laptop and shut it down, Dylan asked ignoring the last comment of his friend. He was out of a comeback. The professor would always have last words in their conversations.
"Not yet. What if they send Microtech and try to make their men travel first? In no f*cking way I'm allowing anybody to travel before me", Microtech was a technological organization working under the government. Several members from the team had wroked with the professor on different projects. If the government knew the time travel was successfully launched, it would definitely send their team. After the time travel of the banana and a necklace, the professor wasn't going to take a chance.
"So you've made your mind to travel in the time?", the boy asked, more like saying out loud for himself.
"Don't f*cking dare to stop me now or I'd drag your no-more-virgin a*s with me", even if Einstein would come to stop her from travelling, she would, with no doubt, tell him f*ck off and accused him of being envious of the her as he couldn't create his time travel machine.
"I won't but there's something I've been thinking about since last night", putting the last fairly large piece of the taco in the mouth, Dylan finished his drink and got up to dump the empty can and the paper the taco was wrapped in, in the trash bin.
"How only the cover of the banana came but the necklace was intact in all pieces?", coming back, he squatted on the chair.
"Looks like some butthole was starving", huffing a slight chuckle, the professor closed the lid of the laptop and pushed it to the middle of the table, away from the edge.
"The peel wasn't opened, Scarlett", he used her name. It meant what he was damn serious and what he had assumed was certainly unpleasant to his liking.
"As if someone sucked the banana out of it", chortling again, the girl tried to loosen up the air that her friend was tightening with tension laced in his words and the way he was speaking.
"Or something", he uttered, his voice even showing how sure he was at his hypothesis that was soon to be a part of the tensed air.
"Time", seeing the girl cluelessly blanking at him, he continued.
"Time is sucking on the life that travels in the past, Scarlett."
