A sigh of relief was short lived when I finally opened my eyes. I hear my father say my eyes are "Crimson?". Before I can say anything at all, a horde of people rush into the room. Checking monitors and clearing the path for the doctor. Dr. Lockhart pulls out a light tool and flashes it into my eyes. "Have her eyes always been this way" I finally hear Lockhart exclaimed with worry. "No. no, they were a deep purple with grey hues" you can hear my mother say fully panicked. "Her pupils are reacting normally, so it doesn't seem to be a complication related to her injuries" The doctor states. "That's good right?" my father asks confused by what's happening. My vision becomes crystal clear and I can see 3 faces staring at me, with panic and worry. "What the hell is going on!" my dad says with his booming voice in frustration. Nearly startling me to death. "Doctor, Doctor, her eyes, they changed again!" my mom squeals. "Okay. everyone just shut up for a minute!" the doctor roars. When I was unconscious I could never tell, that my doctor was a man. I could hear, but it was muffled almost like an echo. He was the most beautiful man I've ever seen. He was tall and muscular like my dad, he had jet black hair and green eyes. The doctor turned to me after giving everyone a lashing with gentleness in his eyes. He snapped me out of my gaze. "Dahlia, can you speak?" he asks me. All I could choke out "Ihe kan trry" I sound like a frog. "Take your time sweety, there's no rush" my mom chimed in. "Dahlia, you just woke up after 4 weeks, you need to take your recovery slowly" The now gorgeous Lockhart says. My eyes as wide as they can go, and what sounds like someone strangled a cat I pretend I let out coherent word "Whhhhhhhaaaat!" I said. "Your voice will be very sore and hoarse, we will bring you ice chips, but for now rest your voice" Lockhart exclaimed. Lockhart, then turns and yells a command at the staff straining to see and are in disbelief. "Nurse! Alert the staff our Luna is awake, besides the critical she is top priority!". My parents once again have smiles and hope in their eyes. I didn't need to be awake to know they suffered as well. I manage to motion with my hands. "What is it honey" my dad rushed over. "You want, something to write with?" my mother asks puzzled by the request. I nod my head "yes" eagerly. My dad rushes to the nurses quarters and asks for my requested items. He comes back waiting to see what I want to write. As my mom gently props me up in a writing position, she hands me the pencil and paper, and I notion for them to sit. I can feel their stares as I scribble down everything I can remember. Easily, 20 minutes passed by. Writing is a struggle but not as difficult as talking right now. When I'm finished I hand motion for my mom to come and read it. "I'm so sorry you and dad fought because of me. Please never do that again. When the boat cap sized, Raven Star lent me some of her strength to keep me warm and to battle the water. The sun had gone down and I couldn't see where to go. I couldn't hear your calls anymore. I heard a faith howling in the distance. I made the decision to follow the howls. Just before I reached shore, some debris crashed into me. As I laid on beach, my head hurt and I saw blood. To one side I saw a pair of giant black wolves with Amber eyes approaching me. I wasn't afraid. From my other side I heard people running and calling towards me. Just before I passed out the wolves called me Luna. I felt and heard everything that had happened. I was stuck and couldn't move, or open my eyes but I felt every touch, stab and movement of my body. I was so scared I even temporarily lost communication with my wolf spirit. I didn't know how much time had passed since the incident. Raven Star called upon our ancestors to help wake me up. My birthday is in two weeks what am going to do!" My mother and father looked horrified. They didn't say anything for a long time. They gave the paper to the doctor as well to recall what she remembers. To his surprise she was aware of nearly every moment, since the boat sank. My parents still haven't said anything. The doctor was the first to speak "Your Crimson eyes, must have been from the ancestral Wolf spirits power. Our founder held such power. His eyes glowed red." My mother gasped and said "Dahlia you were blessed by our ancestors and moon goddess, thank the gods you're okay!" My parents embraced me in a long awaited hug. "Dahlia" my mother says. "I'm so sorry you had to endure all of that" She cried. "Giant black wolves, with Amber eyes" my dad says just above a whisper as he has his thinking face on. "Is that.." my mother starts but my dad cuts her off. "Dahlia, those wolves you saw, were the spirits of your parents guiding you to shore" my dad replied. "I've never known someone to experience that, but with your royal blood and lineage, I don't see why it couldn't happen to you" My father finishes. "My dead parents wolf spirits" I think to myself. "Dahlia, a very powerful wolf can obtain access into the ancestral Wolf realm" my father says with envy. "You are very special" beamed my mother.
