A wild rumor began to spread like a wild fire amongst the employees in the Strategy and Planning Division.
In regards to the eldest son of the CEO President and the assistant chief division of their division.
"Have you heard it? The rumor about our assistant chief?"
"No wonder she got a high entry level in this company!"
"Because she got a REAL BACKER!"
"Not just an ordinary one… but the Vice President of this company…"
"Plus, rumor has it… the chauffeur of the Pride Family has been accompanying her with her shopping spree…"
"SHAMELESS!!!"

Co-workers of Scarlett began to disperse and returned to their seats when she passed through the hall.
Their stares and the look on their eyes were enough for her to sense that there was something going on.
Before she could make any further thoughts about it, the personal secretary of their division chief informed Scarlett about the request of their chief.
"Ummm… Miss Lively, the chief wants to see you."
"Veronica, right? Do you have any idea what's going on around?" Scarlett curiously wondered.
Instead of directly responding to the curiosity of Scarlett, she just gave a disparaging look towards her.
Scanning her from head to foot and then she shook her head.
"I really do not have any idea as well," Veronica did not hesitate in lying to Scarlett because she was the one who started the rumor.
Based on what she heard between the conversation of Ivon and Scarlett.
She immediately spread the rumor amongst their peers.

"That's really odd… the others are acting weird around me and looking at me like I did something wrong."
She pointed out to Veronica.
"Maybe that's why the division chief wants to see you." Veroc
Veronica hoped that Scarlett's reputation and credibility would be tarnished so that it would force her to quit from her job.
Tending Scarlett's own resignation would be the ultimate goal of Veronica.
Making her suffer as the assistant chief of their division.
'You will regret the day when you stole my own opportunity to become the assistant chief of this division.'
The personal secretary of the division chief deviously thought to herself as she walked behind Scarlett.

Upon entering the office of the division chief, Scarlett noticed Prince Kratos who was pretending to be Gavin.
"You're here!" Scarlett greeted him and exchanged pleasantries.
Prince Kratos could not help himself but feel delighted and uplifted every time he sees Scarlett.
He told himself that this feeling may have got to do with him being saved by the red velvet-haired savior of his.
Ever since the day Scarlett mentioned about her dislike towards the werewolves, the Alpha Prince could not find the courage to introduce himself in his true identity.
And express his gratitude towards her about being saved from a life threatening incident.
Now, all he can do was get to know her better and show to her that he is a good man.
In order to change her perspective about werewolves.
"Yeah! I had some discussion with the vice president regarding a proposal about making our brand in the fashion industry as more appealing and we needed to come up with a better strategy approach for this coming season."
The Alpha Prince just made a reason for him to be closer to Scarlett.
Allowing him to know her better and spend more time with her.
"Indeed, it's a great chance for us to cease the moment in improving our brand line! Coming up with a strategic approach and at the same time profitable for the marketing sales of our fashion line. Then, it will be another accomplishment for our company," the division chief agreed with the Alpha Prince.
He continued, "So, Scarlett I want you to work along with Mister Gavin here to come up with a great presentation for our proposal to the Vice President as our recommendation."
"Make sure that it's not just good but GREAT!" he emphasized on the urgency to make it great.
The division chief reminded Scarlett, "Do not let me embarrass myself once I report the presentation in front of the Vice President!"
Scarlett was about to say something in retort towards the intonation of the intention of division chief.
Prince Kratos did not like the idea of the division chief of making Scarlett prepare a proposal but he would be presenting it to the vice president instead.
It was obvious for him that the division chief would like to take the credit instead.
So, the Alpha Prince suggested something else.
"Why not let her present it to the vice president instead? Since you will be giving the task to Scarlett…"
No one could see how much Prince Kratos was holding back his agitation towards the backhanded ways of the division chief.
Even the division chief heard the rumors about the vice president and Scarlett.
"I do not think it will be a good look for her. Because of the rumor surrounding about her and the vice president…" he divulged the spreading rumor.
"Rumor? Is that true, Scarlett?" Prince Kratos felt a bit of sting when the division chief mentioned about the rumor.

At that moment, Scarlett realized and understood the behavior of the people around her.
It made her want to cause a scene and defend herself but she managed to keep a cool expression.
And maintained a calm face.
She heaved a sigh before responding.

"It's only a rumor! I am not really seeing nor dating the vice president. I was actually on an errand, I am close to his fiancé! It's not yet out in the public. You see, it's a private matter!" Scarlett made a quick reasoning with her connection to the vice president.
Hearing Scarlett clarify the rumor, it made Prince Kratos feel some relief deep inside.
"Oh! You mean the vice president is already engaged to someone?" the division chief reiterated.
"Yes! And I am close to his fiancé… if ever this comes out, there's only two people aside from me will become the source of it. So I hope you can keep this between us. Or else I cannot promise you how the vice president will handle it if it ever gets into the public before his announcement next week."

"I hope that clarifies the rumor."
"That's why it is called a rumor. No certainty for its authenticity!" Prince Kratos felt so much relief.

The division chief faked a smile because he felt embarrassed for believing on a false rumor.
"If that's it… I will go back to my desk and sort out some mess outside."
Scarlett was thinking of sorting out those nasty rumors flying around within their office.
Thinking of many ways how to deal with her peers.
"Before you go… can I take you for a dinner so we can discuss about the presentation for the proposal?" Prince Kratos offered Scarlett a dinner with such charisma.
He highlighted that it would be Scarlett who would be presenting to the vice president since she will be the one tasked to make the presentation.
The only daughter of the CEO President was impressed at the gesture of Prince Kratos to ask her out in the pretense of underlying it within work-related matter.
Though, she was more impressed at his efforts to convey his concerns for her.
"Fine! We can have a dinner…" Scarlett answered.
But she furthered…
"JUST ONLY A DINNER… NOTHING ELSE!"
A smile was seen on her as she left the room.

Prince Kratos began to anticipate for this dinner of theirs.
If only he knew Scarlett was about to sort out her own peers.
