CHAPTER 1 - CAREER
One sunny day many years ago in September, the process of becoming a Flight Stewardess began. Natasha Alvarez was in her early twenties and was eagerly looking forward to this new experience in her life which would eventually determine her whole life's future. But little did she know what was in store for her.
Natasha Alvarez was a shy, cute, somewhat small made young girl who was enthralled by the adventure series on TV which portrayed flight crew and their thrilling adventures on board the Aircraft during the flights. It was an adventure series called the "The Airport". Natasha was determined to become part of a flight crew and travel the world. Looking forward to this new adventure in her life she embarked on applying for this position by improving her language skills. She also began an exercise regime to tone her body. She loved listening to music and dancing so this part came naturally to her and she enjoyed exercising.
After much consternation her family agreed to her dream occupation becoming a reality. On her first attempt at 19 years she was turned down as she looked much younger than her age as one gentleman on the interview panel even went on to ask sarcastically "whether she was 9 years old"? although it was a very disappointed 19 year old, her luck began to turn around and she was called for again about an year later. Finally, she was amongst a group of eager young ladies who were each beautiful in their own way. In late December the following year Natasha was scheduled for her first flight as a trainee, with much trepidation she embarked on this wondrous journey and thus began her career as a Flight Stewardess. The older crew was quite friendly and gave her much advice; Looking outside the aircraft she captured a beautiful sight of the sky and clouds, the passengers were equally friendly, thus it was a memorable experience.
Subsequently, she travelled to many cities and countries such as Singapore, Bangkok, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Vienna, Zurich, Muscat, Bahrain, Sydney, Tokyo, Fukuoka, Hongkong, Bombay. Madras etc. She also visited USA on holiday. London became her most travelled destination and Paris became her favorite city as it lived up to the name of being the most romantic city in the world.
As time went by Natasha became entitled to the good things in life, as usual as in the life of a flight stewardess she was able to purchase anything and everything her heart desired because they travel to different countries in the world. Endowed with natural beauty she had many admirers among the passengers and fellow flight crew members and pilots. Being of friendly disposition all sorts of people were attracted to her and at times it was bothersome. but her focus was to improve herself as a flight stewardess and qualify as a Purser someday. Inspiring thoughts of joining the Cockpit Crew also crossed her mind frequently.
Meanwhile her family had grown used to offbeat lifestyle of going to work at odd hours and and partying with her friends when back at home. They also enjoyed all the goodies she brought back home after every flight. And so she was enjoying her new lifestyle except for the one down side of this great career was that had to miss out on family gatherings and friends get togethers sometimes as you get called on work unexpectedly. All in all she was very happy.
