CHAPTER 8 - CAMARADERIE
One fine evening during the weekend the girls and boys all met up at the diner in the town hall area. Natasha had not seen Damien for almost a week and was hoping she would bump into him this evening. Meanwhile Ariane had teamed up with Oliver and they were thoroughly enjoying each others company.
Whilst they were having dinner and wine, Paul had seen Natasha from a distance and came closer to where they were seated and said hello. Although Natasha would rather have had the company of Damien she felt a sense of gratitude towards Paul over the episode in the woods. As Paul had sidled up next to Natasha and Ariane and thus begun an animated conversation when Damien spotted them together. All at once he felt a pang of jealousy and felt uptight. He wanted very much to confront Paul but he checked himself and held back. He sat in the far corner and ordered a drink feeling sorry for himself. As the music played on - all the young lads and lasses got onto the dance floor. Paul took the chance and invited Natasha to the floor. She was not in a position to refuse him this time. Anyway he had turned out to be good company so far. As everyone was enjoying themselves thoroughly; Damien decided to butt in and challenge Paul. Natasha could not help but catch sight of Damien from the far corner of her eye and she was all ready to wave to him gleefully when it struck her that Paul was her dancing partner at present. But before she could react Damien wedged in between them and rudely shoved off Paul much to everyone's surprise. Only Natasha knew the real reason why and tried to pacify Damien and calm down the situation. Who in turn challenged Paul to a fist fight. with the ensuing confrontation there was much cheering and jeering going on from supporters of both parties. After a good twenty minutes or so Paul conceded a little and Damien managed a win over him. This was followed by a round of drinks to everyone by Damien.
Finally they all sat next to each other and exchanged their delightful stories. It was at this moment that Damien found out about the episode about the beast in the woods and how Paul and his friends sorted out
Damien was thankful in a way Paul and his friends were there to protect the girls from any danger, as the beast could have attacked them since it would have been in a lot of pain. Eventually, much camaraderie was brought about after the episode in the woods.
The following couple of days Natasha and Damien met often and the bond between them became stronger. One day they decided to go skinny dipping in the stream, this was towards evening. On the way back they were feeling very romantic and their desires grew stronger. Before they knew they were in each others arms and a session of passionate love making ensued beneath the starry skies. They had lost track of time but Natasha felt protected in Damien's arms.
As it had begun to get dark Ariane worried for her friend, so together with Oliver's help they headed towards the stream. As they walked half way down the road they met the happy couple walking along holding each other's hands. Their flushed faces explained it all as their happiness was written all over their faces. Ariane relaxed at seeing the romantic couple, and together the foursome headed home. Damien gave a warm kiss to Natasha at their parting, while Ariane and Oliver hugged each other. Thus it was a happy ending to an eventful week.
