CHAPTER 9 - A SLAP IN THE FACE
Along with much chatter and positive energy the young boys and girls were gathering fruits and flowers from the woods. Eventually they gathered for a snack and a break from their duties. Whilst they were munching their sandwiches and drinking juice - Paul had managed to get up close next to Natasha and had put his arm around her shoulders. this was about ten minutes into their break. Damien on seeing this sight became rather agitated and his feelings got the better of him. He lashed out at Paul and stretched his arm to hammer Paul who ducked, unfortunately Natasha was at the receiving end with a hard slap right across her cheek, as she reeled from the slap, Damien was at a loss for words. In the ensuing melee Natasha fell backwards and hit her head on a rock and she slipped into deep concussion. As everyone got excited and upset simultaneously they rushed towards the town to get help. While a few guys got together and made a human stretcher, Damien held Natasha who was bleeding profusely by now. When Natasha came to her senses in the evening she found herself in a hospital bed.
A she opened her eyes slowly she could spot men and women in white garb going about their business meticulously. One or two nurses were in her room monitoring her. As she was having a throbbing headache she slipped back into deep sleep. and found herself somewhere she thought was a deserted island. On a closer look she could see water surrounding them. She was actually at a hotel surrounded by the sea. She was back in the 21st Century in the Paradise isle better known as Sri Lanka. She could hear music in the distance and there was several pretty lights too. Many people were dancing and enjoying themselves. When out of the dusky shadows a handsome silhouette made an appearance. It was none other than Damien himself carrying two glasses of Margarita cocktail.
While they were sipping the Margarita's on the terrace and enjoying each others company, the music grew louder. this prompted the two love birds t head towards the pool where the dancing was going on. There were lots of young people gaily chatting and dancing to their hearts content. There was plenty of finger food and drink and a bevy of dances performing. Young waiters and waitresses in smart attire were at hand to serve the food and drinks. Some of the young guests even splashed about in the pool. Eventually the party wound down and everyone retired to their rooms at the hotel. Ariane and Oliver were among the guests and the two girls caught up to exchange their experiences. The hotel they were staying in had organized the evening event to all the guests staying at the hotel by the sea.
