Although deep down they felt something was amiss, they couldn't exactly pinpoint what was wrong. Guy, as the representative asked in a slightly cautious tone, "What makes you so happy?"
"Going home."
"That's it?"
"Mhm."
It took a while for Guy to respond.
"Okay. I will let you go home after the examination."
Ruby nodded docilely. Then she closed her eyes again to rest. She didn't know these people. Though they were technically her family, the original owner wasn't close to them, neither did she want to. Not to mention their image was so bad in her eyes.
Therefore, she didn't want to talk to them at all. From now on, she would do her best to stay away. Though she would still ask for money as she was still a part of Heather's family.
It was her right, okay?
Whatever money she was supposed to have, she would get them.
This family owes the original owner too much.
Ruby was going to treat herself better and let the original owner know what was it like to live a happy and carefree life.
She was going to extort money from Heather's family.
The money sent regularly to Ruby Heather's bank account was a lot, but it was way less than what Crystal got.
Ruby sneered. She might lose her family to the female lead. However, she wasn't going to lose her standing.
It didn't take long for doctors to come. They quickly checked Ruby from head to toe for more than one hour before they heaved a huge relief.
Guy's assistant took care of Ruby's discharge procedure neatly. He ran around a few times until it's finally done.
There's only a wound in her neck from a rope, so Ruby casually covered it up with a scarf. She walked alone behind the Heather family like a turtle. Slowly enjoying the newfound experience as a new person.
She marveled at how luxurious this private hospital was. Rather than a hospital, she could call it a resort. Its facility is really amazing accompanied by a beautiful garden with a small lake.
If it isn't because she was going to plan her vacation, she would have no problem staying longer in this hospital.

"Go sit on the other car with the twins."
Ruby stared at Guy with her big eyes, blinking in confusion.
Zin's eyebrows shot up. He said in displeasure, "Big Brother, you drive her home."
Zayn agreed. He nodded disgruntedly. "We are going back to the villa."
Guy felt helpless facing the twins. He can understand why they didn't want to be in the same place.
They were still feeling awkward, but do they think he wasn't like that?
Madam Heather's face softened when she turned her head to Ruby. She smiled, "There's still some space in the car. Ruby can ride with us."
After deliberately thinking for a while, Guy eventually agreed.
Master Heather was silent all the way from the ward. Nobody knows what he was thinking about. Since he didn't hear their little argument, he mildly hummed in response.
However, "No need."
"I will go back to my apartment."
Master Heather frowned, "Is there something you need to do?"
Ruby shook her head, "No."
Guy gently smiled at Ruby. There was a tinge of indulgence seeping in his voice, "Then stay. Didn't you say you want to come home?"
Ruby tilted her head. There was a big question mark on her face.
"But that's not my home."
"Are you mistaken?"
Ruby's face was so innocent as she spoke the truth that was hidden inside the original owner's heart.
She looked so well-behaved and sincere, they didn't have the heart to blame her.
Guy's smile froze and the rest of the family hardened on their spot.
Madam Heather's shoulder faintly shook. The tears that had long dried were threatening to burst out of her will.
The twins were flustered. They tried to say something but nothing could come out.
They can't deny it.
Only Master Heather looked calm enough to peered at his daughter's expression. Unbestknown to them, his fists were tightly clenched until they turned white.
Blood seeped through the gap between his knuckles.
